I think Rain Forest Cafe is.. compared to the character meal prices... I would love help with this..

I am thinking of not doing the dining plan to save money..

I think we can even order pizza a couple nights!

Check out the menus and prices at allearsnet.com

That should help you out alot

Good luck finding good pizza! Not easy to do in Florida.

As far as reasonable, I think Trail's End Buffet is the most reasonably priced of the buffet dinners, and most all restaurants are less expensive at lunch - you may want to plan that as your largest meal of the day and then just snack around dinner time.

I would also recommend eating at Trails End.... The dinner is a buffet with American-style foods and it is very cheap... Also, most places have a cheaper lunch menu, so I would recommend eating most of your sit-down meals at lunch time to save some $$$.

the plaza cafe is very reasonable, has HUGE sandwiches (I could only eat half of the plaza club) and is a nice break from counter service.

I had found a list of restaurants ranked by value. Both top end, so you could maximize your DDP dollor and lower end so you could eat well and inexpensively. Either here or on allears. Check the dining tabs.

Cosmic Ray's Chicken and Ribs meal is big enough to feed 2 people.

Don't miss Earle of Sandwich at DD. You can also order a double cheeseburger at Pecos Bills (and probably other locations) and order an extra bun and make two sandwiches. We often share food between the three of us because we don't like to overeat in the parks.

Plain pizza can be found easily at all onsite resorts w/ food courts & even the values have pizza delivery, AK Pizzafari, DS Pizza Planet...

My favorite cheap meal at WDW is the Japanese pavillion counter service place. Awesome terryaki chicken and rice.

I second it that finding GOOD pizza is hard to do in Disney.
A few tips to save money and still eat good...or at least well, you can select to eat your larger meals at lunch when the prices are somewhat cheaper.
Yes Cosmic rays has a huge Chicken and rib meal...it is like $13 or so..counts as 1 CS meal on DDP. Most resorts have a food court area that seem to have nice portion sizes and reasonable (for disney) prices. Casey's...My fav place to eat in Disney. Where else can you get a hot dog in front of a palace and a castle!
I personally think that for my family we save money using the DDP. But that is for my family...and eat family is different!
I also think Flame tree BBQ has a nice size meal too.

Edited to add...I forgot about WGPE in DTD. It has pretty good pizza, but it is not your typical pizza.

The best pizza we've found on property was from Spoodle's. When we stayed at the Boardwalk Villas we got takeout from the window and ate in our villa. We thought it was pretty good and DH and I are not fans of Disney pizza!
