Stupid question- Mio. Can you take that on a plane or should I just pack it in my suit case. Not a problem to pack it-just wondering. And I use a hydrocortison cream on a regular basis, can I take that or should I just pack it? I am traveling Air tran in December and really cant remember :confused3

Mio - liquid water enhancer? That would definately fall under the liquid restriction so it has to be under 3.4oz and in your 3-1-1 bag.

Prescription and non prescription medicine is excempt but you need to declare it to the agent.

I highly recommend checking the TSA website prior to flight so you have the most up to date accurate information.

TSA's rule of thumb for determining whether something is a liquid is whether it will hold it's shape when it's out of it's container. (My Ex-BF is a TSA Officer) You're probably better off packing everything in your checked baggage.

I brought several containers of Mio with me to WDW and it was fine in my checked luggage. I put it in my checked baggage because I didn't want to take the chance that it would get tossed by an overzealous TSA agent.

But...if you are going to keep it in your checked baggage, keep in mind the following:

Do not just toss your Mio's in your suitcase. Double ziptop bag it! Remember, it is a concentrate, and that applies to color too. You do not want all your vacation clothes to be "fruit punch" colored. Granted, all of my Mio's did just fine back & forth to Orlando, but who wants to take the chance?

Remember that your luggage will be subject to the tender mercies of your airline's luggage staff (who are about as gentle as drunken wildebeests), could be opened by TSA for a random search (who never put things back where they found them), and will be exposed to many kinds of air pressure & temperatures during takeoff & landing. Everything in my luggage gets ziploc bagged just in case of accidental bursting - I've seen all kinds of things explode in the course of travel - toothpaste, lotion, sunscreen, perfume, etc.

The price of ziploc bags is a small insurance policy against the possible cost of replacing all your clothes at your destination!

Very true! Thanks! I think i will just double bag everything in my checked luggage, I can live w/o it for a couple hours:)
