I have to confess...I was really hoping the Disney race would end up converting him. No question he was duly impressed...it was definitely the best organized and most professional race Chris had run, and that certainly wasn't lost on him. He even talked about doing another Disney race again in future...but overall I think it might be a bit of a stretch to say he was "converted".

Hey Christine...can't wait to fill you in on all the details. Hopefully by the time YOU get back from your trip I will be underway with my report. However...there might be some disappointment if you are looking for a good review of the surfing. More on that later....

Thanks Mel! I really wish you were able to be there as well. However, (and I am really not just saying this), I have to admit that the 40th anniversary celebrations were way too overhyped, and frankly a little disappointing.

I fully admit that anyone who missed the D23 Destination D WDW 40th anniversary event really missed something special. However, I just can't say that about the actual 40th anniversary at the MK on Oct.1st. I was glad I attended though, cause now I know that I don't have to be there for the 50th!

You know what? I didn't even come close to getting half of the things done from my list. As usual, I always run out of time. I will say it again...there is always a false sense of security when you have over 10 days in WDW. You can't do everything definitely still applies no matter how much time you have!
