Can I Make Fast Pass+ Reservations without Park Tickets?

I have my resort reservations, my dining reservations all set. (the 180 day is today).

We are going to buy park tickets with a Military Discount via my father, (1/2 off) and were told we can't do that until we get to the park.

However, i'm now reading that means I won't be able to make advanced fast pass reservations. Is this true?

If so how do I proceed?

If i wait until I get to the park and make all my reservations then. will I lose out? Will people already have everything booked? I really want to get a reservation to see the frozen princesses.

Or should I just not worry about it?

You will not be able to make FP+ reservations unless you have park tickets purchased and linked to MDE. You can make FP+ reservations in the park when you arrive, but your choices will be much more limited. Very popular attractions will most likely be unavailable or the times might not fit into your day.

If meeting Anna and Elsa is important to you, you will need to purchase and link your tickets before your FP+ window opens.

I presume your dad is either active or retired military. Is your dad coming with you to the parks? If you are talking about the 4-day Armed Forces Salute tickets, your dad has to be at WDW at least one day, to activate the tickets in person. However the tickets can be bought in advance and you'll get a code that can be entered to allow FP+ bookings from My Disney Experience.

If your dad is coming with you to WDW, did you book your stay with his military discount?

Just to clarify things.

1. Your Father can purchase tickets anytime he wants.

2. Your Father will have to be with you to activate the tickets at WDW.

3. If your Father is near a Military base that has an ITT/MWR office that sells tickets, get them now.

4. I live 150 miles away from the nearest ticket office and make the trip to get tickets so I can take advantage of the FP+. We make a day trip out of it and do some sightseeing along the way.
