So on my schedule I have watch illuminations and then go get beaches and cream for desert.

Can we walk back thru epcot to get our car?

Or will I have to go and move my car to BC while everyone goes to get ice cream?

You would think I should know this answer with all the times I travel, but generally always stay at BC. This time staying at AKL.

No, you will either need to drive there from the Epcot parking lot after Illuminations or just park at Beach Club before going in to Illuminations.

You can't go back through Epcot once the park closes. They won't let you back in. You would have to drive from Epcot to the BC BEFORE going to get dessert. Another alternative would be to simply take the bus that day.

Two suggestions I could make. If you plan to get your car after Illuminations and meet your group at BC, you will be in the midst of a swamp of people leaving Epcot at the same time. Your time spent with this plan would be too great. It would be much better to move your car to BC earlier in the evening. Tell the BC guard you are going to Beaches and Cream. Walk through the hotel to the International Gate at Epcot to rejoin your group.

Second suggestion, if DHS is open for EMH you could park in that lot and use the boat to go back and forth. You would have to be careful to watch the time for this suggestion. And I'm not sure when the boats stop running.

Third, bus to Epcot and taxi back to AKL.

Another option would be to park at BC and eat there for breakfast (or park at Boardwalk and eat at boardwalk for breakfast), then enter Epcot for the day through the Intl Gateway, then go to B&C for dessert, then your car will be waiting for you when you leave.

1. I would say the boats would run all evening since its the main transportation, but even then you could just walk.

Of course if DHS is closed and cleared then at some point they stop running the trams so you have a further walk back to your car.

2. Since Epcot is closed there shouldn't be any buses going to the front gate and anyway what bus? There are no Boardwalk area buses to the front gate of Epcot.

Another option would be to take the bus from AKL to Epcot in the morning (assuming that's where you're starting) and then take a taxi back to AKL after eating at Beaches and Cream.

You are not allowed to park at a resort and go to a theme park for the day. Parking at a resort is generally limited to 3 hours for the purposes of enjoying the amenities of that resort (i.e., eating, shopping, touring the resort).

No, you can't, but I would think you could park at DTD, catch a bus to Beach Club just to eat at Beaches and Cream, then go back to DTD on bus to your car. I cannot see them having a problem with that length of time. :goodvibes

The DTD buses will take a long time. Not only will the bus stop at two DTD bus stops, but it will stop at all five Epcot resorts, and Beach Club is the fourth. For that reason I can't recommend DTD just for parking purposes.

My best suggestion is to move the car BEFORE Illuminations.

If you are eating at a resort you can only park there for 3 hours. You can't park your car there for the day if you are not staying at that resort.

you CAN valet park at the resort for $14

With Soarin being open till 10pm this summer what is the latest they will let you in epcot?

Is it 9pm, 10pm or later?

Adding, if you have a handicap placard or license plate, valet parking is free (except tips).

Just a forewarning - expect Beaches & Cream to be very busy after Illuminations. Very small restaurant with limited seating, and everyone seems to have the same thought after Illuminations...

As others have said, you are technically not allowed to park at BC then go to Epcot if you are not a BC guest, unless you pay for valet. If you are staying at another Disney hotel, you could always take the bus to Epcot that day and then catch a cab back to your resort from BC.

You know Beaches and Cream will be a zoo after Illuminations. Lots of the guests at the BC and YC will be there having ice cream, too. You might want to consider getting your ice cream before Illuminations.

Of course since they give you a four hour parking permit.....When they tow you, then you will be in big trouble.

:confused3

BC has signs saying "we can't allow parking for your to tour the parks" (or words to that effect) And they tend to quiz a lot on "why are you here" (even if you are checking in!)

However, has OP ever looked at the LINES for ice cream after Illuminations. Lots of time to move your car and still meet your family (heck, lots of time to do most anything...)
I know it's good, but it's about the slowest ice cream place in America!
