Can I borrow someone's daughter???

You can borrow my 10 year old. She is most definitely a princess/girly girl. princess: I hated to tell her that we can't afford to do BBB when we go 8/16-23. (It's taken us 7 years to be able to come back!) She has done Club LibbyLu before, and I thought that was fairly expensive, but it's a bargain compared to BBB. She's saving all her money to get a dress at WDW like Elizabeth Swann from POTC. I hope they have one and it's her size (kids 12-14 or 14-16 so she can wear it more than a month or 2). It makes me mad that the Disney Store only carries clothes up to a 10-12 girls, then jumps to a women's small! She used to love going to the DS-now she's so sad when she goes. The sizes seem smaller than they used to fit. 10 years old is not grown up or too old! OK, ranting over...
My DD 15 would never go, was never into princesses, only villains. At age 6, she wanted to be Maleficent when she grew up! :stir:

Ok....so...not really! It's just that every time I start to plan a Disney trip, I start to have daughter envy! I am the mom of 3 boys and I don't think that they would like it too much if I drug them off to the bippity boppity boutique!!! I am really going to miss having someone to go to the princess dinners with, buy princess dresses, and...one day....plan that Cinderella Disney Wedding!!! Whah!
Every mom needs a little girl. They are priceless. My DD and I will be glad to tag along!!

Sure you can borrow my DD(14)! I can remember being really excited bringing her home from the hospital - boy was I going to have fun with a little girly girl. NOT!

She's the one the tore the pretty pink bows out of her hair as a baby. As a toddler she refused to wear any dress unless made out of t-shirt cotton material. She now races motocross and going to the mall with her is an absolute nightmare.

I love her dearly and she's as unique and independent as they come. I even took her to my day spa a couple of times, but gave up when she asked if they could use a toenail polish that would do stand up to wearing motocross boots, I gave up!

Thankfully I have a nice SIL who lets me borrow DNiece (and I get DNephew as a bonus to keep my DH entertained). We've been borrowing for about 6 yrs now. DNiece will be 10 for our fall trip, and we'll head off to BBB. Also, living in Chicago, I borrow DNiece for trips to American Girl place, afternoon tea at the Drake, etc. It's nice that she enjoys girl things with her aunt. My DSister just had a daughter too, so we'll go back with her in May 08 (DSister will come along, as that DNiece will only be 23 months...) My new DNiece helps ensure I get many more years of princess time at DW.

I still hope for a princess of my own one day (even one who doesn't like princess things).

heck, i'll borrow any of your kids....i am not picky- boy or girl....i can't wait to have a child to share the magic with, boy or girl. you are all blessed to have them.

<---5 years of infertility, now 32y/o! hopefully the artificial insem. works next month after our trip to the mouse!

We will be at WDW at the same time it looks like, you're welcome to borrow our DD (5) for a couple hours so I can go on EE with my DH. I'm afraid to go alone! IF there is a downside to having kids with you at WDW that would be the ONLY one. The baby swap thing works great but I like to go on rides with someone else that I know so I have someone's hand to squeeze. A stranger would probably freak if I grabbed their hand.
I wish you the best of luck with your plans for a future family. I watched my sister go through all that and I know how rough it can be. I will be 38 next week and my DH and I have been trying for another baby since our DD was 2. We are really wondering if we were only blessed this one time. I do have a son (now 17) from a previous relationship so I have also had the best of both worlds as someone stated earlier. It's a whole other ballgame with girls though!! I am really looking forward to BBB with our little girl. I wish this same joy for the rest of you out there in the world of DIS!
Have a Disney Day, Renee

Been there! Hang in there, and good luck to you! :sunny:
