Can anyone help me with my VCR?

I don't know what's wrong with it. We wathed a tape on it last night and now when we put a tape in and hit play it just turns off and ejects the tape. I don't understand what happened to it.

Is the tape rewound?

Was the tape you took out, the one you watched last night, ok? or does it looked damaged?

You may just need to run a cleaning tape through it. That happened to me once, I ran a cleaning tape and then it was okay.
