Can an annual passholder use their MagicBand for parking?

I will be at Disney World next week along with my wife, and we both currently have annual passes. Since we are in the process of buying a house and most of our stuff is in storage I currently don't know where my pass is located, but I do have my MagicBand with me. Is it possible to use a MagicBand at the booth to get into the parking lot with an annual pass, or would we need to show the pass itself? If not it isn't a problem since we can just use my wife's pass to get in and then just go to the booth to get a replacement.

yes, they scan your band and some CM ask to see an ID, others just wave you in

And one time we were driving into Epcot and the CM glanced at my MB, saw my Annual Pass slider, and then just waved us on through without even stopping his conversation with another CM. I thought that was pretty funny. :)

If we have paid for AP but haven't actually gotten them yet at the parks, how do we park for free the first day?

For any discounts, you need to show your annual pass discount card along with your photo Id that matches the name on the card.

As many have stated, Your mileage may vary. I'm rarely asked for my card and ID but it can happen.

I only made 1 or 2 purchases on my AP, but what I found is that without my physical card they had me open up the MyDisneyExperience app to the passes page and show that it had an AP on there. Once I did that they gave me the discount, but it was a bit of a hassle.
