After visiting Ak several times, my family and I headed over to Camp Minnie Mickey primarily to see the lion king show (which was absolutely awesome). We watched the show and then tried to find something else to do. I believe there is a Pocohantus (sp) show which we didn't catch and that was about it. I realize the space is used primarily for autographs from the characters but I can't think of any other "lands" devoted entirely to character meetings. To me it feels like such a waste (we take DD and DS to character breakfasts since you're guaranteed autographs and pictures and then catch others as the oppurtunity presents itself.) and I'm suprised there is not one single ride over there. Hopefully Disney will consider a ride at some point or maybe revamp the whole area into an attraction/ride "land" like all the others. The only thing comparable is the several signing lines you can get into in Mickey's Toontown. Even there, though, you have the barnstormer. Has anyone ever wondered why this land was built so differently?

I think they have such a big area to cover in AK that it lacked rides at first. They have added the carnival type area with Primevil Whirl, etc and Expedition Everest show they are still working on it. I think you will see one or two more rides pop up in AK in the near future.

I kinda like that area the way it is. Pizzafari is in the area for food and the kids like the fact many characters are present. We are not crazy about thrill rides but the kids love autographs. Lion King is greatness and the Pocahontas show is enjoyable.
