Suddenly my digital camera (Canon A75) and computer (dell Inspiron B130) are not talking. Ive downloaded pictures several times before and cant figure out why they arnt communicating anymore-

When the camera is on and connected I get a "Unknown device" popup where I usually get a download popup. Ive installed a driver for the camera but either its not working or helping. (Ive never needed a driver before)

I replaced the USB cord but its not the issue and now Im at a loss of what to do now-

Any ideas?

Why don't you get a card reader instead of transfering from the camera to the computer. I think it is much easier that way. Card readers aren't very expensive.

I had the same sort of issue--my camera and computer talked real nice for a while and then all of a sudden it would tell me that another application was using the camera :confused3 A few people suggested the card reader so that is what I am going to do. Good luck..

I just got that same problem with my DD Fuji A345. Never had any problem for almost a year. Now I have to use a card reader. Don't know why either.

Happened to me with my Rebel and Toshiba Statellite- talked fine for a couple weeks- then nothing. Picked up a high speed card reader for about $20 and it's much faster and easier.
