Have you thought about the Domke bags? The Domke F-2 is big enough for two lenses if you wear your camera, extra battery, flash, Iphone and wallet.

The Domke back pack is bigger, and would work if you want to carry more gear with you or if you want to carry your ponchos. Just a thought..... :)

I have a Tamrac Expedition now and that works well for my camera equipment. But I'm leaving for Disney in November with a newborn and 3 young children. I didn't want to take my Tamrac plus a huge diaper bag. I was hoping for a all in one bag. I have a Canon 30D, zoom lens, prime lens, and my walk around Tamron lens. I also will be carrying my new sony hdd camcorder (size of point and shoot camera). The top part will be needed for tickets, misc stuff, and some diapers.

I've been researching for about a month but can't decide. I really like the Kata dr 467. Plus there is a rebate which is another nice option. I also like the Mountainsmith borealis but it's a little bigger and pricier. I did like the Naneu Pro's Alpha military ops bags but I'm not sure if I like the back part opening instead of the front. I would have to take the bag off each time to shoot.

I know a lot of people on here ask about bags but I am really having a hard time. I would welcome new suggestions also if you have a fav bag. I should point out I don't want to spend more than $100 for the bag. Thanks for any insight.

(I'm asking this on behalf of my bf who is just getting into using his DSLR more and is looking forward to getting some practice in at WDW so here goes :))
I'm looking for a DSLR bag that will fit a camera, lense (18-200mm) and a tripod (collapsed size 50cm) and possibly a water bottle. Any and all suggestions of brands and models and where to buy are welcome! :goodvibes

Do you bring DSLR cameras and bags on rides? My bag is approximately 14"x7"x9". Will it store on Soarin? What about on other rides?

Look at the Commander bag on sale at Adorama. It looks pretty cool and is a great deal at $30 due to an overstock.

Look up Lowepro they have many different styles I have one sidekick 100 and I love it. You might want to look up kata bags too.Good Luck :)

That size bag may be pushing the limits of the storage on Soarin' but on that ride you can leave larger items on the ground. Just check with a CM as you are loading.

As for other rides if the bag does not fit in the storage I place it on the floor with one leg thru a strap for security.

The Soarin seat holders are pretty tight - I leave my bag on the ground at the sides - the CMs watch them.

I ordered the photo CD and was not happy! we had taken 86 photos and I up loaded photos and stuff, but when I got my CD the photos I up loaded were not there.

The photos I got other people to take of me and my family were better then the photopass people.

A bag that big might have a tough time in the storage bin on Kali River Rapids. If so, take a poncho and put it over you and the camera leaving it in your lap. That's what I did with mine in June. Worked just fine :thumbsup2.

I have a couple Kata bags and can highly recommend them. I am not familiar with the other brands you posted. On our last trip to WDW, I had the Kata 3N1 30 which worked really well. I had originally looked at the 467, but it would not accomodate my 70-200 lens. The 3N1 series does allow side access to your gear so you don't have to take the bag off to get your camera out if that is important to you. I know several others on this board use the 467 and have reported it to be very comfortable to carry as well as nicely configured.

FWIW... I have the Kata DR-467 and really like it. I have made two trips with it since I got it ... one of the things I like about it is ... even loaded down it fits under an airline seat and I dont need to put my camera equipment in the overhead bins. I have a Nikon D300 an assortment of 6 lenses (see my signature for a list if you want to know the sizes of the lenses) and SB-600 flash. Usually I am carrying 4 lenses with the D300. This all fits nicely in the bottom part of the bag. The top part is roomy and I can put everything else I need in there to use it as my only carry on when I travel. In addition there are three zippered pockets on the front for small items like memory cards, lens pens and cleaning cloth etc. there is a side net type pocket for a water bottle. It also has the laptop sleeve in the back. When fully loaded it is quite heavy but the straps are very well padded and the weight distributes nicely which makes the bag very comfortable to carry. I like that fact that is does have a strap and extra padding to be able to use with the optional trolley available from Kata if you want to convert to a rolling bag. I am 51 years old, fairly small at 5'3" and average build and this bag is comfortable for me to carry through the airport even when fully loaded. Of course when I am out and about around home I have minimal equiment and extras in there so its definately easier to carry. The only thing I dont like about this bag is if I have a larger lens on the camera I need to fully unzip the camera compartment to get the camera in and out. The compartment sort unzips around three sides and then flips out to get access. If you are just reaching in for a lens to change or whatever you can get away with only partially unzipping it, but to put the camera away you need to fully unzip it which cant really be done for me unless I have a place to set the bag down. Sorry this got so long winded .. hopefully someone else will be familiar with the other bags you are interested in and can give you their opinion of those. Good luck with your search!!

one thing I will say about Naneu Pro, they do stand behind the lifetime warranty, a little over a year ago I bought the naneu pro goombah bag , since it was being discontinued I paid 200 for a 30o dollar bag..
one of the wheels broke, so I emailed them to see if there was a way to replace the wheels, they told me to send the bag to them along with my proof of purchase, and my shipping address, and they would send me a new bag,
I was a little concerned since I knew that bag had been discontinued..

I shipped the bag via UPS last Friday, Tuesday naneu pro called me, they wanted to know if it was OK to send me the urban gear 220, I told them I had looked at that before and it didn't have wheels, they said OH no, this is our new model it's not even available on our web site yet, it now has wheels and a rain cover, plus some other upgrades.. they told me I'll be the first person in the US to have one, and they'd like me to give them feedback on it, they said if I don't like it I can return it

so now I'm impatiently awaiting it's arrival, and I will definitely buy from them again..

:)I love these pictures. I would love to be able to spend days at Disney just taking pictures of people's faces and expressions.

My husband and daughter said we could dress up for MNSSHP and they said that I should be the Photopass photographer!!!:)

This is such a cool thread... I've looked thru my pics, and I couldnt' find any... so my next trip, I have soo many things I want to take pics of. I just told DBF that they'll be riding rides, I'll be taking pics. :goodvibes

k so i need some help here! lol as always! the last time we were there they were just starting to use the card thigns, so this cd thing is totally new to me. so you pay 99 i think it said for the cd and then you fill it at the parks(great idea) and then you come home and load em up/enter the code whatever, then you have to pay for the prints as well? am i right? so can someone explain to me how it's a savings? i mean we normally get maybe 5 pics the entire trip but will be going with the kids this year so im sure there will be more. and is there a way to check before i get home what i have? last time i got my pooh pics done after waiting an hr to see him and when i went to the pickup place that nite, they were not loaded! i was so upset, but too tired to be rushed back to get a pic again.
