I know it's been asked a thousand times, but... make this a thousand and one. Head is now spinning from looking at so many bags and reviews!

Here's what I need--a bag that will hold the following:

Nikon D60 with 18-105mm kit lens attached
Nikon 35mm/1.8 lens
Various accessories (spare batteries, memory cards, microfiber cloth)
Preferably also hold a gorillapod with head
Cell phone, credit cards, a TEENY little makeup bag with chapstick, face powder, etc in it. (Hey, I'm a girl, need to be able to do touch-ups)

It needs to be comfy enough to carry all day. Not a backpack--some kind of shoulder/messenger bag. Not super bulky/boxy--something that won't jut out real far...

And that's really it. I've completely given up on style/fashion at this point.

Any recommendations? Anyone have a similar kit and found the PERFECT bag for WDW?

If you buy the CD, then they are all yours, right? So I could take that CD to, say, Walmart and print 8x10s from them? Or is it all low res stuff that will only print 4x6s?

We have over 30 CDs from WDW. I have blown some of the pictures up to over 20X30 canvas. Very good quality.

We typically have over 300 images before editing and in the neighborhood of 700 after editing.

NOTE: You choose the size to format the picture before ordering. so if you plan on printing a picture in a size other than 5X7 (the default) make sure you make a version with the different size before you add the border or you will lose part of it in the final product.

Well I have sort of. I loive the Domke bags. The straight shoulder bag is here: http://www.tiffen.com/displayproduct.html?tablename=domke&itemnum=700-J5C and the traditional camera bag is here: http://www.tiffen.com/displayproduct.html?tablename=domke&itemnum=700-30B

Or, I also use a Vera Bradley large backpack for my camera, lenses, and my other stuff. I don't wear it as a backpack, I sling it on one shoulder.

Try googling camera bag for more options. Sometimes you can find good hints in discussion forums. There was also a thread on here by Pea-n-Me on camera bags last summer, and another thread that is more recent called "show me?" that has a lot of gear bags on it. Happy hunting! :)

I ordered the photo CD and was not happy! we had taken 86 photos and I up loaded photos and stuff, but when I got my CD the photos I up loaded were not there.

The photos I got other people to take of me and my family were better then the photopass people.

I have some bad pictures on my photopass this past trip, I guess it depends on the photographer, they are not profesional photographers but some of them take great pictures, others don't.

The pics have very good resolution, you can even make them bigger than 8x10. I made a big one for my mom, a poster size.

k so i need some help here! lol as always! the last time we were there they were just starting to use the card thigns, so this cd thing is totally new to me. so you pay 99 i think it said for the cd and then you fill it at the parks(great idea) and then you come home and load em up/enter the code whatever, then you have to pay for the prints as well? am i right? so can someone explain to me how it's a savings? i mean we normally get maybe 5 pics the entire trip but will be going with the kids this year so im sure there will be more. and is there a way to check before i get home what i have? last time i got my pooh pics done after waiting an hr to see him and when i went to the pickup place that nite, they were not loaded! i was so upset, but too tired to be rushed back to get a pic again.

OK! If you're planning on taking lots of pictures during your trip (like I do :rolleyes1 ) then go for the CD. You pay $99.00 plus shipping regarless of the amount of your pictures. If you are only getting a few then you might get those, to me the CD is better, because you can edit the pictures, add borders, make them black and white etc and then you can take them to wal mart and pay way less for the prints.
If you get the CD make sure you take pictures with every single photographer you see at the parks (like I do :rolleyes1 ) I am like the photopass stalker :rotfl:

When you get into the parks you get a photopass card, you can use that card the rest of the trip just make sure you write the card number or take a picture of it, in case you lose your card all you need is that number. Then after your trip go to www.disneyphotopass.com and enter your card or cards ID's, edit your pictures and you can go to the other link I left buy the cd, they will send you an email with a code and when all your are done editing your pictures (remember you only have 30 days and your pics will expire) order your cd and on the promo code lane, enter the code and your account will be ZERO because your cd is alredy paid .

thank you!~!!! :worship: lol a friend who's lending me stuff for disney just told me to get it and said she trippled the pics she got...and that she played around with the borders and stuff. but she didn't mention how to get he pics in the end. now i understand! i looked at the site and found it so not helpful! lol

Remember that during the slow parts of the year that photopass photographers will off the "special" pictures. But during the busy parts of the year you have to ask for it. They will not deny your request....

Moral or the story, it does not hurt to ask

Actually during busy times. They may "turn off" special shots. Because of how long it takes to go in and edit them they turn them off so they don't get days behind. Or when they get days behind they turn them off.

I've been several times in August and December where they turned off the Tink shot because of back-up. We asked for it, and we've been told that they were not doing those shots that day. They normally only turn them off for 1-3 days.

Thanks Kaffinito... I will look at the Domke bags again.

We leave in a month for WDW so I need to find something SOON!

Oh yes, I did too. I went from 350 pictures to over 1,000 :rolleyes1 and I could have taken more if my DH and kids weren't rushing me all the time to get to the rides

Look for the photopass guys and have fun, if you go during the holidays some resorts have photographers in the lobby, we had our pictures taken at the grand floridian and at the animal kingdom lodge last year, beautiful decorations :lovestruc also look for the 'magic' pictures, or ask the photographers if the do magic pictures. Like these...

And tell the photographer that you are buying the cd and they'll take lots of pics of the kids with the characters (if you have kids)

yep- 2! which is why i think it's probably a good idea. we've got several from past trips...as im a winnie fanatic, so i know those will be a must, and add the princess makeover for dd, then the magic ones like you posted(we have one with tink, and one with stitch). we had a blast with our stitch photog last time...he knew all about ns, even sarah macloghlan(sp) who's from here...now that i consider a great feat! lol

Can you please clarify? There have been a couple of posts that said pre-order after you get back?? I'm confused, how does that work? Do you still get the $99 price or pay the full $149? I have been hesitating to preorder in case we don't get that many taken when we are there. However, if I can wait and see how many times we can stop a photographer, then that is a bonus:banana:

I would appreciate it if someone could explain how this works.

Thanks

OK! I know is confusing I was like that too.

You can 'pre' purchase the cd anytime, it doesn't have to be before your trip. Just go to that link, (the one somewhere on the previous posts) let say you get back today from Disney world, just go to the link click on the pre purchase $99.00 dollar promo and follow the instructions. Then you will get an e mail confirmation of your purchase, meanwhile you can be editing your pictures, adding those cute borders and all that good stuff, you have 30 days from the day your enter your card numbers, then in a day or two they will send you another e-mail with your promo code and instructions it reads DO NOT DELETE on the subject, only use the promo code when you are ready to purchase your cd, after editing all of pictures and of course before they expire.

Make sense? :confused3

So if you get back from Disney and didn't get a lot of pictures on your cards, then you can only purcharse those pictures (prints) if you like, or whatever you want to do.

But no you don't have to buy it before your trip.

My dd wanted to do the princess makeover, but she said that all the dresses were too small :( she is 12 but she is a little girl still.
