Now my major problem is chaffing. Trying to come up with a solution. I'm ok on short runs, but my long runs are killing me. Tried body glide today, and wearing boyshorts underwear to add a layer of protection, but they underwear doesn't go far enough down the leg. I ordered a couple of other pairs to try... anyone have any good tricks? I will try just about anything!
I had my first REALLY bad case of severe chafing (in 6 years of running) at WDW half last month. So bad, because of the hot/humid weather, that I was actually bleeding--even with Body Glide. So I went to the UA outlet and picked up a pair of compression shorts. They have about a 6-7" inseam and so cover the major chafe area. I have tried them on a 14 miler since then and they work. Also, my husband, a hard core cyclist, swears by A&D ointment, which I will also try.
