my cousins almost named their cat "pancake" it ended being Henry (the crazy cat...no really he is...he sleeps in the christmas tree!)

Yeah for you !! Congrats. I like the name too. That was my daughters nickname when she was about 2 or 3 because she was so tall and strong for her age that my in-laws called her Xena The Warrior Princess.

Sorry, couldn't resist, my DS and BIL will give your friend a run for his money on the best name contest...they named their 2nd cat TOC (pronounced tock, like tick tock), short for "The Other Cat"

We had a cat once that was named K.C.
Everyone thought it was spelled Casey but it was really K.C. which was short for Kitty Cat.

What a cutie! Kittens are so fun! When our cats were babies they would climb up DH like a tree and perch on his shoulders, purring in his ears. So very cute!

On the topic of funny cat names, our friend has a cat named "Golf Cart" because she was a stray that he found on his farm sitting on the (you guessed it) golf cart. Many friends have a hard time remembering the name of the cat, so she's been called "trash compactor", "microwave", "dish washer", "lawn mower"...

New Edition take 2.... after I brought Xena home, my mother, who lives next door, went to the pet shop and got a kitten too... this is Goldy!

Aw, they are sooo cute! Xena looks like my Milo when he was a kitten. He has since grown into a huge fluffy cat with great big eyes.

My DH's cousin is the biggest animal lover. When a stray cat started coming in and out of their cat door she was more than happy to "adopt" him. His name...Notours...as in Not Ours!

One of our kittens does this, usually when we're getting his wet food. It's not so bad if I know it's about to happen, but when I'm surprised it's a I really need to video tape it (been saying that for a few months) before he stops doing it. I hope he stops before warmer weather since it doesn't hurt much in heavy winter clothes. He's getting kind of big to be scaling me like that.
