The pictures on Sunday went really well. We didn't take Sophie, because we had professional pictures taken of the girls with Sophie about a month ago. In fact, I just got those pictures, and I can't get over how much Sophie has changed. I'm so glad I got those pictures done when I did!!!

Karen - I had a very good friend in highschool just like yourself. She had her baby the summer after we graduated, and then got married soon thereafter. I haven't seen her much since, because I started college, and she was starting her family, and we just drifted apart.

CB - Your preparations for your family sound great!!!! :goodvibes Will you be allowed to take them behind the scenes, or no? Have fun with them while they are here!!!!

Well, I'm off to try and workout - I'm not in the mood!!
Sunday night I barely slept, I don't know why, so I didn't workout because I was to tired, and I didn't want to give myself a headache, because I was to tired. Than Sophie was sick last night, so I barely slept again last night, because I was listening for her in case she needed to go out. So everytime she moved, I was awake (I'm like that with my kids too when they are sick). I hate working out when my heart isn't into it, because than it seems like a chore, but I have to do it in order to keep myself on track.

Gotta run - have a good day!!!!

Good morning all!

sandy - How is Sophie feeling? What made her sick?

I really need to get going with a serious exercise program. When I started WW i was walking alot, then I got bust at the park and just kind of stopped. I did have to buy new jeans (2 sizes smaller) and order a few sets of scrubs (also smaller). I am trying not to get too much because I am not done! I don't want to get comfortable here and lose my motivation to keep losing.

Have a good day!

Today is going to be a long day.
Sophie is still not well, so I have to take her to the vet early this morning, and then I have to go straight to work, and be there until 7pm. I really hate knowing that my little Sophie is not well:guilty: So we'll see what the vet says.

Karen - Getting motiviated to workout is difficult ::yes:: I'm having a hard time right now staying motiviated because of the cooler weather, and because it's still dark when I wake up, and it's dark by 7:15pm. I have a very easy time exercising in the summer when the sun comes up early. It's going to be a long winter when it comes to my exercise program. Part of me want to join a very inexpensive gym, but then another part of me says no, I''m so indifferent on what I should do.
**I don't know what make Sophie sick. Monday she threw-up her breakfast, but I wasn't really alarmed by that, because she burps after she eats, and I'm thinking she ate to fast, and maybe swallowed to much air, and that made her throw up. Than in the early evening, she had a very loose stool, and than in the evening she had total diaharrea:eek: Then yesterday morning her stool was a little better, than early evening it was diaharrea again:eek: So I called the animal hospital, and they told me to get her in first thing in the morning. So we'll see what happens!!!! I'm naturally nervous, because after Sampson had some fatal happen to him to unexpectedly, I jump to conclusions. This little dog is so sweet, and so special, I just couldn't handle something really bad happening. But I'm sure she's fine - she's certainly acting normal, which is a good thing.

Well, it's time for me to jump in the shower and get going. I need to make sure I'm at the vets early, so when they open at 9am, I'm the first one there. I asked if they would take an appointment, so I can be first, because I had to be at work by 10am, and they said, "NO" So I want to be there by 8:40am and just wait - what a pain!!!!

Have a good day!!!

sandy - Good luck at the vet's office. Maybe Sophie just ate something that didn't agree with her. PLease let me know how it goes!

Hey all........

I FINALLY HIRED SOMEONE!!!!!

You have no idea how releaved I am!!
She's a 16 year old girl, who acts much older than 16. She is very bubbly and friendly, and she is so excited to work at the store. She must have thanked me 20 times for hiring her. She starts today:thumbsup2 It won't be until after Christmas that I'm able to leave her alone, but that's okay, I'm just so glad to have someone to train before Christmas comes. I think she's going/hoping to work out great!!!!!:goodvibes

Sophie is doing so much better :dog:
The animal hospital never called yesterday, which means her stool sample came out normal - thank goodness!!!! So she must of had a bacterial infection that could of come from anything (probably all the worms she's been eating - yuck!!!!!:scared: ) Speaking of worms, did you all have a lot of earthworms after the big rain a couple of weeks ago? We had tons and tons and tons. After the rain, they all dried up and stuck to the driveway, that's why Sophie has been eating them. I can control her when it's light out, but when it's dark, she's able to grab them w/o me seeing before it's to late - NASTY!!!!!:scared: I told Kevin that she likes worm jerky

Tonight is a fair at my church, so I am taking the girls to that - they are very excited!!!!:cool1: I hate spending money on those crappy rides, but the girls do have fun. I always have a fun time at these things too, because we know so many people in this town, that I always run into many people I know - so that's nice!!!!

The rest of the weekend will be productive.
Tomorrow I work all day, because my other highschool girl has her homecoming dance, and then Sunday I am working outside all day. I have a lot of flowers that I stopped watering, that now need to be pulled out. We also have alot of work to do in order to get the yard ready for winter. It seems early to be doing this, but I like to get it done while it's still nice out. I hate working in the yard when it's damp and cold :cold:

Well, I gotta run and get Stephanie up for school :teacher:
Have a great day today everyone!!!!

Hi all!

sandy - how was the fair? I like to take the kids to the fair here - no comparison to WDW, but hey, it's a tradition! I am glad Sophie is OK! Hannah likes to eat dead squirrels! :confused3 Jim shoots them (they eat the fruit and pecans and bird seed) and when they hit the ground Hannah takes over - it's pretty gross!
How exciting about your new hire!!! I hope it works out wonderfully!

Our weather had been beautiful here the last few days. I really like this time of year. Of course we have a football game tomorrow. I hope the weather stays like this! That would make for a great game day!

See ya'll tomorrow!

:surfweb:

We are going to have such a great weather weekend around here!!! :sunny:
I wish I didn't have to work today, so I could enjoy it - oh well!!!

Karen - The fair was okay, the kids had a good time!! It's just so expensive:eek: The amount they charge for things is just ridiculous!!! Oh well, it's for the good of our church, so I feel a little better about spending the money.
**EEEwwwww........about the dead squirrels!!!:scared: When we had our German Shepherd, there was a squirrel that would love to torment him. This thing would sit on our deck, and stare him down. It would sit in the tree and make noises at him - it would drive Sampson CRAZY!!!!!!! Finally, Kevin shot it down with a beebee gun, and I told him before he did it, to make sure Sam was in the house, because he would eat it up, just because he was so ticked off at it:laughing: Kevin did shoot it down, and it was a happy day to get that thing out of the yard!!!!
**Good luck to James for his football game today - I hope they win!!!:wizard:

Well, I'm off to get ready for work
Have a great day!!!!

A quick hello before I go to church :wave2:

Have a great day!!!

:surfweb: It's the start of another week!!!!

I hope you all had a good weekend!!!
I spent yesterday pulling out flowers and fighting off swarms and swarms of mosquitoes. If I don't get West Nile Virus, it will be a miracle!!! I'm just glad that I have the yard 1/2 ready for winter:thumbsup2

Have a great day everyone!!!

sandy - I will be hoping you don't get West Nile!

We don't have alot to do to get our yard ready for winter (and don't have to worry for awhile). Once the hibiscus & banana plants die, we just cut them back and cover them with pinestraw. We have lots os satsumas and lemons on the trees out back right now. They should be ready to pick in November.

A new nurse is starting at work today. She is a friend from the job I had before. I am really looking forward to her being there.

Have a great day everyone!!!

My little Stephanie is now, officially, a server at church:)
She went to server training last night, and she can start this Saturday:thumbsup2 She will get a set schedule, but because so many kids don't fulfill their duties, there's always a vacancy up on the alter - so she can start this weekend. I'm so proud of her!!!!!:goodvibes

Karen - You have a banana tree? How cool!!!!
**That's nice that you already know the new nurse:goodvibes How was her first day?

Well, I gotta run and get ready for work
We have to leave early because I have to go pay my respects at a viewing, before a funeral, for a retired fire chief that past away. Kevin didn't go to work this morning, so he could participate in the funeral. They have the firetrucks all done with the black bunting, and are putting the casket on the firetruck to the cemetary. I wish I could go to the funeral, but that starts when I have to open the store.

Gotta run - have a good day!!!

Sooooo sleepy!!! I would like to go back to bed for about an hour!
We started cheer pictures at the park last night. I set it up to do 3 squads a night, so it will take 3 nights. I prefer to do it that way. The photographer can take his time and hopefully we get better pics! I am trying a new photog this year. He prints a proof of the poses right then and the parents can pick their pose - they can even use more than one pose in their package. James and Emily are going to take a silly picture together and Emily wants a pic with her favorite cheerleader. (Emily & Haley coach with me). We put Fifi in one of James' old jerseys last night and now there is discussion of her being in a pic too! She actually seemed to like the shirt. She didn't try to take it off and actually pulled away when I took it off. She was pretty cute!

Have a super day!

Karen - I love pictures!!!!!:goodvibes
I hope your kids pictures turn out well, and how fun about your dog :dog: I bet these pictures are going to be great!!!!!:)

Nothing new going on around here - same ol same ol!!!
I gotta go workout and get this day going
Have a great day today!!

The pictures are going well. He actually brought the packages from Monday night with him last night! The parents were pretty pleased. The photog took pics of James & Emily, me and Haley & Emi, Emi alone, Fifi alone and then some of Haley & Fifi. Then after I picked my poses (I wanted all 5 x 7) he told me mine would be free! Pretty flippin' sweet!

Today is the first day of Synagis season - we will now be BUSY thru April! I don't want to go in today!!!

just wanted to say hi!

I had a great time with my family but they left me so tired that on monday I was sick with a fever. I have a really low immune system and they say I have mono that keeps trying to spring up again, so I'm used to this sort of thing.

At work they have way too may people and everyone is fighting for hours. This week I have less than 20 hours and for the rest of the week theyll probably send my home early too! That means that after rent is taken out my check will belike $20! I dont kow how ill be able to afford for marc to come. I guess we wont be eating.....

CB - I hope you are feeling better! How awful about your hours!! That's got to be rough!

sandy - Hi! Are you up working out?

I weigh in today. If I lose another half pound I will be at 20 lbs. lost. The first day of Synagis season had some bumps in the road, but was OK overall.

Have a good day everyone!

Did you all watch the debate last night?
I did - it was a pretty good debate!!!
I still don't know who I'm going to vote for, but it was a good debate.

CB - I"m so sorry to hear about you being sick, and about the crappy hours:guilty:  When you do work, what do you? Is any of this experience making you want to stay there when it's done, so you can have a career with Disney? I know someone that did this program at your age, and she is still working there almost 20 years later. I hope things get better for you, and I definitly hope you feel better:wizard:
**What did you do when your family was there?

Karen - Congrats on that awesome weight loss!!!!!:cheer2:
:wishtwenty
I have lost between 15 - 20 pounds - it fluctuates!! I am very lax with my eating on the weekends, so I'm sure it fluctuates because of that. But that's okay, I really look forward to the weekends;)
**No, I wasn't working out yesterday. I had a Chamber of Commerce breakfast that I had to go to, and I had to help Stephanie get ready for school pictures - so that took up most of my morning. I'm really missing my daily walking, but it's just to dark out in the morning - it makes me nervous!!! I'm looking forward to the time change, so I can walk in the am again for a short period of time.

Well, I gotta run
I have a cold, so I"m not working out today
You should have heard how many times I sneezed yesterday - it was crazy!!!!:upsidedow
Have a good day today!!!

Congrats to both of you for losing so much weight! I know I'm still young i need to lose some weight and Id like to do it while Im young and can make a good habit of exercising. I started Depo Provera last year and it made me gain about 20 pounds! and I wasnt light to begin with. Im going to start exercising more after work since im not working long hours.

When my family was here we had a blast! My aunt and grandma smoke and both have arthritis so are slow, but we actually got a lot done despite stopping all the time. We went to beaches and cream and had the kitchen sink, we ate at le cellier, tonys town square, primetime cafe, and Boma which everyone loved. I took my grandma on thunder mountain and it was halarious. She thought she was going to fly out and die. she was screaming the whole time until towards the end i was holding her because she thought she would fall out.

We went to the halloween party! The fireworks and parade were amazing! we got tons of candy, but for some reason it was ALL sticky.

Remember the stuff I left in their room? Well my aunt from florida went into the room first and came out and said "the hotel left me a present!" She swears that sometimes the hotels just leave her stuff because they know shes stayed there so many times. I think shes just exaggerated, but it was funny that it took a while for them to figure out I left it...even though there was a hat with my name on it and I wasnt listed as being in the room.

I'm so glad it's Saturday - I"m so tired of being at work until 7pm.

Little Sophie just had her first feel of frost underneath her paws :dog:
I don't think she liked it, because she was shaking (I'm sure because she was cold). I can't believe we had frost - I guess the rest of my flowers are going to go now, because this frost will be bad for them.

CB - Thanks for the congrats!!!! I have always been on the heavier side, and if you are like me, it's best to find your food weaknesses and start nipping that in the butt before it's to late. For me, when I was your age, I would snack snack snack snack. Some people can do that, and not gain a pound, I would look at a bag of Doritoes and immediately gain weight. So that was the first area I knocked off (this is when I was 21). After you get used to whatever you remove from your life, than move onto something else - another food problem or exercising. I'm a firm believer that if you do everything at once, than you'll never stick to it, because it's to overwhelming. If you ever have any questions Karen or I will always be here to answer and for support.
**Your family stories made me chuckle!!! I'm glad everyone had a good time when they were with you!!:goodvibes

Karen - :wave2:

Well, I gotta get going and put some jeans in the dryer
Have a good day!!

Stephanie served her first mass ALONE:eek: yesterday, and she did great!!!!!:thumbsup2 I was so nervous for her, and my hands were even cold and clammy:laughing: I was so proud of her when Mass was over, and she received SO many compliments. One lady we know (we sit in front of her every Mass) bought her a rose (the Knights of Columbus were selling roses after Mass) for doing so good. Stephanie was beaming with pride:goodvibes It was a very nice moment for her!!!!

Well, I gotta go - the girls are having a small battle
Have a great day!!!!
