Hi guys! Well, I had a really busy weekend. This was my 20th class reunion! We went to the Homecoming game Friday night and then there was a party afterward. I stayed out very late (for me). Saturday we of course had James' football. Then Saturday night my class had dinner, dancing, etc... on the Battleship. After that a bunch of us went out, so another late night! I am so tired!! Jim only went last night and he's beat, too! Man, I am OLD!
It was really great to see so many of my old friends. I got to reconnect with John - he was one of my very best friends in school. He was stationed in CA and we lost touch. He moved back home a couple of years ago and we have seen each other here and there, but we really got a chance to catch up this weekend. Of course my BFF Christine was there (we graduated together). So Jim hung out with her hubby at the reunion. They work together, Jim & I fixed them up on a blind date and now they've been married for years & have 2 kids.

CB - I have always wanted to eat at LaCelier! It sounds like ya'll had a blast!

Sandy - OMG FROST???? If our AC wasn't broken (it quit Friday night) it would be on! It was so hot Saturday at James' game. Congratulations to Steph!!

See ya'll in the morning!

:surfweb:
It's the start of another week - I'd rather have another day of the weekend:rolleyes:

I was going to cut down plants yesterday, and get the yard ready for winter, but some rain prevented me from doing that (I don't like being out in the rain, even if it's just drizzle). So I stayed in and cleaned 75% of the house instead:thumbsup2

Karen - Thanks!!!!:goodvibes She's already excited to serve again!!!:)
**Yep, we had frost - I hate it!!!!! I would love to live somewhere, like you, with no winter.
**Sounds like you had an awesome weekend!!!!!:cool1: I'm glad you had such a great time!!!!

Well, I gotta run and workout - I didn't do much of that last week (I hate having to stay in all the time - it's boring).
Have a great day today!!!

Tonight is The Living Rosary at our Parish, and I'm looking forward to participating in it. Each person is a Rosary Bead, and when you say your part, your candle gets lit (the whole church is dark), and when the Rosary is complete, it's a beautiful sight to see. It will be a nice way to spend the evening:goodvibes

Well, I gotta go get Steph up for school :teacher:
Have a great day everyone!!!

Hi everyone! So far today is a great day.

I'm starting to make plans for when marc is here. I'm thinking about doing the resort photo session when he's here. My mom has wanted pictures of us together for years so I thought it might be a good idea for Christmas gifts. Plus then we'd actually get park pictures with both of us in them. The cost is about $155 for the sitting of at least 50 pictures and then all of our photopass pictures on a cd. Do you guys think this is worth it? I really don't have much money but may try and squeeze it in because I don't know when I'll have this opportunity again

Btw: lecellier was great, but even better if younlove mushrooms and I loved the cheese soup.

Anyone have any good suggestions for restaurants. I wantto have ateast one nice dinner while he here.

I've been sleeping so good lately - it's hard to wake up in the morning:rolleyes:

The Living Rosary last night was very nice, and very packed!!
The CCD Kids participated, so that meant many of their parents stayed, which was nice. I've never seen The Living Rosary be standing room only.

CB - My advice for a nice dinner would be The California Grill - I love that place!!!!:goodvibes The atmosphere is great, and if you go when Wishes happens, it's even better:thumbsup2 I've heard great things also about Artist Pointe - I've never been, but I would like to someday!!
**The pictures sound really nice!!!! Question......does that $155 include the CD and printed photos? If not, than I do think it's a little expensive. I pay about that much at Sears, and it includes the CD, and some printed photos.

Well, I'm off to workout - have a good day!!

Morning! I am busy, busy , busy!!

Emi has homecoing this week. She is on court! Woohoo! We have nade 50 goodie bags for the team, a huge run thru sign for the game and other various signs to decorate with.
James has practice 4 days this week!
Both kids have exams.
Sarah is coming home for fall break.
Homecoming at the park is next weekend so I am ordering 105 custom bags and we will be making sashes and corsages for each girl. I am also doing special awards for all of our junior coaches.

CB- I think the photopass is a good idea. You can get some special photos at the resort and then some great ones at the parks. Then when you get your disc you print what you want. You could go to Walgreens or Wal Mart and print wallet sizes for Christmas cards and a bigger pic for your mom. frame it & use it for a Christmas gift!

sandy - the Living Rosary sounds beautiful! I didn't want to get out of bed either!

Have a great day!

The week is almost over!!!!!:yay: :woohoo:

Karen - Congrats to Emily:cheer2: What a great memory for her!!! Good luck with getting everything done - it sounds like a lot!!!! :faint: Also, have fun with Sarah coming home - I bet she's excited to come home too!!!!:goodvibes

Well, I'm off to workout
Have a good day!!

What does everyone have planned for this weekend?
Today I work till 7pm
Tomorrow is the Fire Dept Open House that we are at all day
Sunday I'm going to a local Apple Orchard with a friend and her DD (of which it will be nice weather for - thank goodness!! Last year it was 90 degrees, and it was brutly hot!!!!)
So we have a busy, fun-filled weekend!!!!

Well, I'm off to make Steph some breakfast
Have a good day!!!

I'm back!!
Sarah installed a new monitor for me, it was cheaper than a whole new computer!
Emily won Lady in Waiting! She was so cute!
Sarah has been playing Suzy Homemaker - she cooks!ANd cleans! and drives her siblings! I really don't want her to go back to school.
Work is too busy - I am looking forward to sleeping this weekend. I have to go now, I am too sleepy to finish my post! I will see ya'll in the morning!

My little Sophie is not well again:guilty: .
I had to take her to the vet after work yesterday.
She was put on another mediciane, and the vet told me that if this doesn't help, that I will have to change her food. I sure hope somthing works, because the thought of having to put her through a bunch of tests just kills me:sad1: , so we'll se what happens.

Today is the FD Open House, and the kids are so excited!!!!:yay: :yay:
Stephanie actually went with Kevin last night and helped set up, and she loved that!!!! There were other FD kids there, and they all worked real hard - they even washed a firetruck. I was glad to here they all worked together so well!!!:)

Karen - That's great that Sarah is so helpful - have fun with her home!!:)
*Congrats to Emily!!!!:cheer2:
*I hope work calms down soon :wizard: Are you on call this weekend?

Have a great day today!!!

sandy - The Open House sounds fun! I am glad the weather is looking good for your trip to the apple orchard. Are you getting excited about your trip?

I don't have big plans. James has a 4:30 game. I am just laying low this morning. I slept in a little. Of course, a coach from the park called at 7 am!!
I am thining about taking Jim to dinner tonight and staying at a hotel downtown. Our anniversary is Wednesday. I am just going to let it happen - no big planning.

Sorry I didn't check in yesterday - no time!!!

My friend, the girls, and I had a good time at the apple orchard yesterday. It was very very crowded, but it didn't ruin our fun:sad2: The only problem with that place is the cost. It cost us $15 to get in, $19 for apples, and over $30 for caramel apples and donuts - it's not a cheap day!! Oh well, we had fun though!!! :teeth:

The Open House was a HUGE success this year!!!
The person that organized it did an awesome job, and had more things for families to see and do.
Stephanie was a big helper - I was very proud of her!!!!

Karen - Did you go our to dinner, and spend the night downtown? If so, where did you eat?

Well, I'm off to work off all the donuts and candy that I ate yesterday (we went to the candy factory yesterday too).
Have a great day today!!!

sandy - it sounds like you had a great weekend! How was your workout?

We didn't go out Saturday. JIm and the kids wanted to watch the LSU/Florida game so we hung out at the house. I also wasn't feeling well so it's probably best!
I will have another busy week! Tonite we will make the Homecoming sashes and corsages for the 88 girls at the park. I still have to buy supplies, etc... Of course Saturday will be an all day event. We do call outs for the girls at the halftime of each game, so I will be at the park all day!!
I ordered backpacks for the girls' gift this year. Friday night I checked my email & the company I ordered from sent me an email saying they would be out of stock until December. i am not very happy! It took them over a week to realize this??!! I spent an hour on their website last night searching for a similar bag in the same price range! I hope they can get it all together! I guess I will find out today.

We are having such a beautiful autumn here in the Chicago area!!!
It's to bad winter is just around the corner - I hate winter!!! :cold:

Karen - I'm sorry your weekend didn't work out :guilty: Are you rescheduling?
How are you feeling? What was wrong with you? I hope you feel better now:wizard: I also hope everything works out with the backpacks:wizard:

Well, I'm off to workout
I ate 1 1/2 caramel apples yesterday, and I'm having guilt
Have a good day!!!

sandy - caramel apple guilt, huh? Wouldn't that be a healthy snack since it's an apple? That is one way to look at it - maybe not the right way... I am glad ya'll are having great weather. We are still pretty warm here.

I think I just had a sinus thing. I am feeling better. We may just try the weekend out thing another weekend agter football season. No big hurry! I am very tired this morning. Jim snored so much last night. I finally slept in another room. Of course it wasn't the living room because Fifi snores too! :rotfl: Hopefully tonight will be better!

Hi guys, how has everyone been? I thought of you guys when DH went up to the firehouse to talk to some of his old buddies...he really wants to go back.

Hi there! Just wanted to check in.

It's still pretty hot here. I've also ben getting frustrated that there's a store every five feet because I need to be saving my money not spending it!

April - Hi!! It's great to hear from you!

CB - Are you buying all Disney stuff? I hope you get a killer employee discount! I have always wanted a really nice Disney watch. I just don't even look at them! I would like to get some framed prints, too! I love Mickey & the firefighter. I had a small one framed for my godson one year. His dad is a FF with my DH and his room is done in firetrucks. I found a nice Dumbo print at Michael's and we put a cheap frame (sorry Sandy!) on it as a teacher gift from Emi this year. She has a favorite teacher who loves Disney too.

I end up buying the not so obviously disney stuff. Recently i bought a white purse with black polka dots, but some of the dots are mickey heads. Theyre cute fashionable things but still disney. I also really love the frames that they have. I get a 20% discount, but at the end of this month is goes to 40% for the holidays! just in time for me to get everything i wanted before I go home. I really love the mickey parts kitchen stuff. I have red appliances for some reason so I think it would go perfectly.

I really like the firefighter stuff also. The 9/11 statue of mickey and the firefighter reminds me of my passion and marcs passion coming together. Its decently priced also, so I think I will get it for Marc before I go home. I think its $55. so after my discount its only about $35

Oh BTW Marc got his fire station to get a patch together and they sent it to the magic kingdom firehouse. Were going to go look for it on the wall when he comes. You guys are familiar with what im talking about right?

But now I must be going to bed. This is me right now:surfweb: because Ive been working everyday for the past 2 weeks.
