piglet - OMgosh, I can't believe you lost your diamond in someone's bag - that's awful!!!!!:sad1: I don't even want to know how much that cost to get replaced:eek:
**Congrats on getting your ipod!!!!! :)
Yeah, we never did replace it. It was small, and DH did not get insurance on it. He has always promised me that some day I will get another engagement type ring.

I'll be back around later, still too out of it to think straight.

Morning everyone! Looks like its going to be a nice day! :cool1: The Cubs had a HUGE win last night... hopefully they will finish the series with another big win today. :cheer2:

Good morning everyone! I love the sun, not looking forward to the storms they are forecasting. DD11 has a track meet tonight, just hoping it won't get rained on.

My mom was supposed to come home from the hosp yesterday, was in the car on my way to pick her up when DSis called to say nevermind. Her heart rate dropped to 35 so she wasn't leaving. She is supposed to come home today :cool1: .

juliez - our relief check is already "spent", it will be paying our property taxes which are due June 1. DH thinks it is funny that we are using the money from the govt to pay taxes.

Zero - so glad you found your ring, it sounds beautiful.
*Best of luck with the party this weekend, pre-party prep though is a drag.

momto1 - none of DDs track meets have been cancelled but if it is bad on Sat I hope they cancel but then again the rain date would be Sunday and DH will be out of town so that would be worse I guess as I'd have to drag the other kids to the meet.

piglet - we got a 2pg letter when track started with all kinds of info including the track meets. Unfortunately they keep adding things.
*My mom lost the diamond out of her ring years ago. Of course that was the day she had washed dishes, weeded in the garden, gone to the grocery and to church, etc so there was no finding it either. She never replaced it.

Bunchkin - I'd love to do both Williamsburg and Springfield, just waiting til they get a little older. Somehow I don't think my 6yr old would think that was 'vacation' when she's used to WDW.

Hersey - my kids are anxious for school to be out too, DS7 keeps giving me the count down until he only has 3hrs left.
*I loved algebra in school, unfortunately it's been so long I don't know that I'll be much help when they need it. Hopefully it's like riding a bike, it'll come back to me when I need it.

slo - it was cold yesterday but I was layered. 4mi isn't too bad, that is what we do.
*Enjoy your CofC breakfast.

:wave2: to everyone else!

Have a great day!

ID ~ :wizard: for your mom, hopes she gets to come home today.

OK< I am a little more awake now. I hate when Dewain is gone, I never sleep well. Plus it becomes my job to make sure Kevin gets up in time for school. He gets up at 6:20, and I usually get to sleep for at least another hour. He is back tonight.

Lauren is off to a field trip at the zoo today. Hopefully the weather stays dry for them. Have a feeling the track meet will once again be cancelled due to the storms we are expecting later today.

Good Morning Everyone! :flower3: hope everyone has wonderful plans for this beautiful day! i'm stuck inside behind a computer :( oh well... i'm meeting my dad for lunch which will be nice! Mike is showing his parents a townhouse he really likes and if they like it and think it's a good deal he'll put in an offer. He showed it to me the day after we got back from vacation. it's nice, in Frankfort, and in our relative price range. i'm a little weary of it (i'm not of fan of the outside look) but then again i can't be too picky b/c it is our first place. i told him i'd help with the bills every month but will probably not officially move in until closer to the wedding. he's really nervous about being able to afford a mortgage and other bills... i told him it will all work out! it's scary buying your first place... maybe it's just me.

well, hope everyone has a beautiful day! oh, and i might have talked him into a Disneymoon!

DG ~ If the place does not work out, there are several town homes for sale in my area. We are within walking distance of the Metra station in Mokena, if that is a benefit. If you want to know what the places are going for, PM me and I'll let you know. They are all 2-3 bedrooms with attached 1 car garage. There are 4 units per building and they do all have laundry units too.

ETA ~ Mokena is the next town north of Frankfort.

Ah! Finally, a nice day! This weather is crazy! I only have one more project to finish and one test to take. Then I can start working on wedding favors, song lists, table centerpieces, etc! I had my Spanish Oral Exam yesterday. I had to talk with a partner for 5-7 minutes about a topic chose by my teacher. I think I filled the time with a lot of "Ummm." My other three classes are A's. There is no telling what will happen in Spanish!
Dgal- Frankfort is pretty nice. Plus, on 45, by that funky bridge, they have a good icecream place called The Creamery! And, you are pretty close to Orland mall!
piglet- This is crazier than your diamond in the bag...I was in HS, taking a horse and small animal science class (I wanted to be a vet at one point), anyway, we took a trip to a pet store and the owner let one girl with us hold a macaw on her arm. The thing leaned down, plucked a diamond from her ring, and ate it! Luckily, she was just a hs girl, so it's not like it was an engagement ring, but still, how weird!
hersey- I'll be of no math help when the kids are older. I had to start a thread on the CB about ds' 2nd gr math. they use everyday math and it is confusing. How sad is that?!?
slo and bunchkin- The Dells are fun. We haven't been in a few years, though. How about St. Louis or Indy? They about have great kid's museums.
ID- Hope your mom comes home today!

Good morning everyone! :yay:

Cubs Win!!! And finally, a warm day! DH is home today and tomorrow - I had completely forgotten he'd taken them as vacation - so my life got a lot easier. He can hang out with DD while I get some groceries, pack, and finish cleaning the house. His parents come to stay tomorrow. Also, I have seven less people to worry about for the b-day party this weekend. It's a family party and they're all on DH's side, and two of them are great big pains, so it's kind of nice that they won't be coming. :rotfl:

Bunchkin - I've always wanted to go to Colonial Williamsburg. However, with gas prices the way they are, I'd opt for Springfield if it were me. As for the Dells, they're fun but pricey. I'm a little biased against the Dells as the last time I went I got devoured by mosquitoes. 37 bites in two hours! :headache: Not fun. Oh, and sorry to add to the choices, but Door County, WI is a great vacation spot, too.

piglet - wow, a free iPod! That's great!

hersey - I dread the days when DD needs math help. I was the worst math student. She'll sadly be on her own.

slo - DD's birthday is Saturday, the 3rd, so for the first time we get to celebrate her b-day on the actual day. I really wanted to plant my flowers this weekend, too, but with the party and us going to WDW on Monday, it'll have to wait until we get home.

irish - I'm keeping a good thought for your mom and I hope she gets to leave the hospital today.

disneygal - finding a new place to live is always nerve-wracking. We had a pretty easy time finding our first house. Finding our current house, however, almost did me in. I never want to move again!

paint - I was a French major in college, so I know how difficult the oral exams can be. At least finals are almost over and you can concentrate on wedding planning! My wedding and this upcoming vacation have been my favorite things to plan so far. Have fun!

Well, I'm off to gymnastics with DD. I hope everyone has a great day! :goodvibes

Hello peeps!!

Still trying to figure out where we are going! Thanks for all the input gals!
I 'think' we may do Springfield and do a little driving on route 66. They have a web site that shows you all the cool stuff to check out: landmarks, restaurants, museums...that kind of stuff. :goodvibes Neat-o!

Found my old prescription sun glasses in the glove box of the car. They're not the right script, my current ones are a little stronger, but they'll due till I can get into the eye doc near the end of the month.

mac I have tons of guides and brochures, thanks! :thumbsup2

Kim I hope they take your suggestions on Mom/daughter events! :)

slo Let's hope for no rain so you don't have to reschedule your test!:thumbsup2

Hersey I hated math in high school! Lauren can't wait for the end of the school year to come too.
I haven't been to New Orleans since I was a kid! I'd love to go back there with the family, but not during the summer. It gets way too hot down there!

Zero Door County sounds really nice, but not with the kids. I'm sure they would thing it's boring.;)
Glad your crowd has shrunk a bit for the weekend!! ;)

piglet Hope your DD had fun at the zoo. My DD has an entire school field trip to the zoo coming up in a couple weeks. Her class is also going next week on one of those architechural boat cruises down the river starting at Navy Pier.

irish dancer Hope your mom is able to leave the hospital soon.

Have a great afternoon all!!! :wave2:

SAP is a software... come on along... we need to sign up 1 partner and 3 customers ..

Evening guys!

Mom came home from the hosp. . She's doing pretty well and happy to be home in her own bed.

The rain held out for DDs track meet.

geffric - my DH is a SAP super user at Sony. I hate to tell you he calls it "Satan's Program" . He says it is a super sophisticated and advanced program, unfortunately he said it was very difficult trying to teach the higher-ups at Sony how to use it. I wish he had to go to a conference in Disney. The only time his company had a meeting down there family wasn't allowed to accompany employees. :sad2:

piglet - I never sleep well when DH is out of town either, I stay up WAY too late. He used to travel a lot, thankfully now it is only a few times a year.
*I hope Lauren had a nice time at the zoo, glad the weather held out for her.

disneygal - congrats on the new townhouse! I remember the closing on our first house, I was so nervous with all the paperwork - I thought I was signing my life away ;) .

paint - that is one crazy diamond story!

Zero - congrats on losing some high maintenance guests from your party list ;) .
*French major in college :scared: I'd pick math any day :rotfl2: !

Well, time for bed - early morning walk tomorrow. I hope we don't get the storms they're forecasting.

G'night!

This is going to be one busy day for me!!!!!

I need to get to work early so I can continue preparing for this car show + I need to get work ready for my employee to do tomorrow + help customers (I've been having more business, which has been wonderful :woohoo: ) Then I need to leave at 4pm to go get Katie, get us all changed, do hair, so we can go out to dinner with my in-laws at Horseshoe Casino - Jack Binnons (sp?). It's my in-laws 40th Anniversary + my MIL just retired (her last day was 4/30). Then we are going to their house to open their gifts, then come home, get the girls in bed, do some final prep for the car show, and then finally go to bed :faint: Yep.......I'm going to be tired when this day is over!!!

Mac - OMgosh!!!!! I love the new hula dancer in your tag!!!!!:)

piglet - I'm sure the stone is terribly expensive to replace ::yes:: I"m sure your DH will fulfill that promise someday.:)

MMFan - :wave2:

ID - I actually don't bundle up to much when I walk in the cold, because I feel to bulky (I was the same way when I ran). I wear sweatpants, tshirt, long-sleeve tshirt, sweatshirt, and gloves.
**That's great that your mom came home!! I will keep her in my prayers that she continues to do well - please keep us posted!!!

DG - How was lunch with your dad? How did everything go with the townhouse? I agree, it is scary buying your first place - I know I was scared to death!!!! But it all worked out ::yes::

paint - The Childerns Museum in Indy is great!!!! They also have a great zoo:thumbsup2 My kids really want to go back, and I would like to take them next summer (this summer is out, because Kevin is going to be working alot, with his project finalizing in the summer)

Zero - How fun to celebrate your DD's bday on her actual bday:banana: Have fun at the party!!!

Bunchkin - I sure hope it doesn't rain, but it's not looking good :sad2: I really want to get this over with, not only because of the test, but because I just want to get it over with - doing these things are not fun:sad2:

geffric - Congrats on leading the SAP Charge!!!! :cheer2: Now....what is a SAP?
**I see you just answered that - thanks!!!

Well, I gotta get going and start this very long day
Have a good day everyone!!

a very good friday morning to all the chicagoland homies.

hope your day is great.

take an umbrella with you today.
i hear it will be a down pour.

slo you have a fully packed day.
you will have the best time this evening.
oh and thank you for the compliment. my fat chubby no neck bald hula girl saying in the wind changed to a redhead with a neck last night.
i loved them both

hello to all :goodvibes

:wave2: Good morning everyone! I wish i knew exactly what the weather was going to do today... its suppose to rain, but then again i thought we were getting rain last night? My son is suppose to have a game this evening.. but it all depends on the weather.

Hope everyone has a nice weekend and we have some sunny weather!

Morning! Part 1 of my Spanish final in a few minutes.:scared:
Slo- Have a good busy day! I know the feeling! I have that final, then I work, then go home for a bit and get the kids, then, when df gets home, I go back to work until 11. I waitress, so it will be busy, but at least I'll make lots of money!
Mac- Love the new tag!
ID- Glad your mom is home. It must be nice for her to be in her own bed.:)
Zero- I know! I can't wait to focus on the wedding stuff, although everytime I see my ticker, I get a little stressed! We still need to do lots of little stuff, including getting our license (kind of important). Like how I say "we"? Us ladies know it is "I"!
Better do a little last minute cramming! Later!

Good Friday Morning Everyone!:flower3: thank goodness it is finally friday. this week has been so ridiculously long. Sorry this post is going to be a quicky, need to get some work done :( though i'd much rather spend it on the boards :goodvibes

Paint ~ good luck with your Spanish final and getting everything ready for the wedding!:wizard:

Slo ~ good luck with the car show! i will keep my fingers crossed for good weather for you:wizard:

Everyone else ~:wave2:

have a good day!
