I Love the '80s: 3D - "1982" Episode #3.
Orange Julius; `Victor/Victoria' ; EPCOT Center; Freezy Freakies;
`Cats'; Human League; Bow Wow Wow; Tron'; VCRs. VH1 description
says"In 1982, Walt Disney helped us keep our science straight and
bored kids to tears with his brand new EPCOT Center, the "Experimental
Prototype Community of Tomorrow." (TVKirby sez - The segment is the
second one after the commercial break at 40 minutes in. As expected,
they spend a huge TWO minutes with the VH1 celebrities that call it
both Fantastic and Boring. Wil Wheaton proclaims it "Everything that
Geeks Love". They show scenes from opening day. There is a shot of
Dreamfinder and Figment. Commentary on World Showcase concentrates on
the availability of alcohol. Lots of "It looks like a big golf ball"
references to Spaceship Earth combined with a graphic of a giant golf
club hitting it. It was about what you would expect from VH1. Worth
recording for the footage.)

technology ranges from space-age centrifuges to enhanced motion
vehicles powered by 3,000 PSI of hydraulic pressure. And hundreds of
audio animatronics brought to life through the power of pneumatics,
hydraulics, and electrical systems. Walt Disney World is made up of
four separate theme parks, each with its own innovations: the 107-acre
Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney-MGM Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom.
The four parks are all part of a megaplex of a resort. Twice the size
of Manhattan, it was the final vision and crowning achievement of a
man who spent more than 40 years pushing the limits of technology to
