paint - I'm so sorry that the restaurant is closing :guilty: Thank goodness the owner was honest with you, so you can start making plans. Good luck with finding a new job :wizard: I hope you are able to find something easily and quick:wizard:

Rose - Good luck to you DH for his surgery on Thursday :wizard: Please let us know how everything went.

Crissup - That drink didn't make me nautious (I can handle my sugar like some people can handle their alcohol  ) but it did give me a headache that lasted all day:guilty:

MMFan, geffric, DG - :wave2:

Donna - How is Brians GF doing? I think about her often. I pray that her recovery is still going well:angel:

Mac - Thanks for the listings!!!! :)

Good Morning Everyone!:flower3: I have the day off today! We started 'summer hours' today so we can work an extra 45 minutes a day you get a day off every 2 weeks! I have been highly anticipating summer days! Gonna run a few errands and go look at some townhouses with mike. B/c it was so rainy yesterday I didnt' get to the cemetary to visit my mom. I know she would understand so I'm going today!

Well, i better run and finish getting ready. Mike's gonna be here to pick me up in 20 minutes!:scared1:

Have a wonderful day everyone!

paint Sorry to hear you have to look for a new job! What a bummer!! :sad2: Did you finish your wedding favors yet?
The museum is in downtown Joliet on Ottawa. I had never heard of it before until recently. It is all about Joliet's history and Route 66.

irish dancer I hope your mom is doing better.

piglet I looked at your meet thread, and I need to check my calendar! :thumbsup2

slo Good to hear you and the family had a great Mother's Day...weekend!! :teeth:
The outlet mall was a quick trip. It was busy for being Mother's Day. I had gotten presents at home but while we were out Tony bought me a purse at Dooney & Bourke's!! :lovestruc The pizza joint. Lou Malnatii's, was not busy when we first got there, around 4:20pm. BUt shortly afterwards it started getting busy and then even more busy. The place was PACKED with families!!! The food was so good though! My mom met us there too. We were having such a good time we didn't realize till we left that we were there for almost 2 1/1 hours!

Rosemarie Hope your DH's surgery goes well for him.

Hi to everyone else, especially those that claim they have no time to post!!! ;) ;)

I love their cheddar cubes. :)

Hi to everyone else, especially those that claim they have no time to post!!!

I hope I never get that busy... :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 ;) :lmao:

It was so nice being able to come home last night - I love having my employee home!!!!:goodvibes

DG - I need to visit my Grandma at the cemetary too ::yes::
**How was the townhouse hunting yesterday? Did you find anything?

Mac - :wave2:

Piglet - I'm not sure on the date yet - I need to talk to Kevin and see what is going on.

Bunchkin - I'm glad you had a nice Mother's Day meal :goodvibes That's great about the new purse!!!!:yay: I've never heard of Dooney and Burkes - is that a store, or a brand?

Crissup - :wave2:

Well, I gotta get going and get outside for my walk
Have a good day today everyone!!!

I think I added a few gray hairs to my head this morning. My alarm always goes off at 6:30, and I am usually pretty good at just resting my eyes a few more minutes. fast forward to 7:30 and df is kissing me good bye, on his way to work. Nothing gets you out of bed faster than seeing you've overslept by an hour and have 15 minuutes to get 2 kids ready for school. Now my whole day is going to be running behind. I can still make time to DIS, though. Priorities!
We checked out a few rehearsal dinner places since we had planned on having it where I work and they might not be open. I think we found one, but we've never eaten there! We are going to meet with the manager tomorrow and try out a few dishes.
Got our marriage license yesterday! They posted a pic on their website, so PM for the link. Didn't want to post it since it has our last names on it. Also got ds fitted for his tux. Going to be so cute!!!
Slo- Nice you have a college student so you can enjoy some of this nice weather with your girls. I know how hard it is to own your own business! Good to have trustworthy employees! Too bad I don't live closer. I need a job!;)
Bunchkin- Gotta' love a man that can buy a good purse! Df likes to buy jewelry. He has purchased me a purse before, too. he has good taste (well, duh, he did pick me!:rotfl2: ).
rose- Hi! Long time, no see! I know the wedding is soon. Frighteningly soon!
Have to work today, but I guess I never know if they'll be open until I get there.:confused3

Good morning everyone.
I finally have the chance to sit and post. I have had a busy week and weekend. We are wrapping things up for year end events at school and I have a lot of work coming up with that. I had both sides of our family here this weekend for the kids' birthdays and Mother's Day, and now I am ready to fall over.
I hope everyone had a wonderful (though wet) Mother's Day.
I have kept up reading.
Slo, glad you are getting some time off once again. Great job on keeping up with your walking. I really need a motivator at my end to get me moving. Although one would think that my end would be motivator enough!!:lmao:
Any news on your lab results?
Paint, sorry to hear about your place of employment needing to close. I hope you find something soon. Are you all set for the big day?
Rose, prayers for your DH on his upcoming surgery. He is young for cataracts. Does it run in his family? Happy belated birthdays to your kids.
Mac, thanks for the listings once again.
Disneynut, I cannot believe or excuse the actions of a grown woman behaving in such a manner. Shame on her. Kids never forget that sort of thing-even when they do move on. I hope your son can forgive her some day. Her loss if he can't. I hope he can get so excited about your upcoming trip that it takes the sting out of her words.:grouphug:
Irish Dancer, how is your mom doing? I hope all goes well for her. Thank goodness she didn't break a hip.
Piglet, I wish I could make that meet, but that is the day we will be returning from California (if I ever get tickets to come home.:rolleyes1 )
Bunchkin, sounds like you had a nice weekend. Love those purses by the way. I'd even settle for a knock-off.
Well, better run. Think I'll take the dog out for a nice walk this morning. Love the sunshine.:cheer2:

Good Morning Everyone!:flower3: back to work today! I asked mike yesterday if i could be a stay at home wife... he laughed and said if made enough money sure why not! I would definitely go stir crazy not working! but it would be nice to not HAVE to go to work everyday... maybe a part time job would be good! the townhouse hunting went well yesterday! we found two places in Lockport that we liked. We took our parents in the evening to see them. My dad really liked the second one b/c it definitely has much more space AND better curb appeal which both would be good for resale! so... we will just have to wait and see what the mortgage people have to say! in the meantime, I am excited to be planning a disney wedding!! i'm getting alot of ideas from the disWedding boards. I think i'm going to already start on welcome bags and favors even though i'm still 22 months away. i think it will be easier not only on my wallet but also on my stress level if i do things early! what do you think?

hope everyone has a fabulous day! :)

Good morning all!! :goodvibes

Just got back from our Disney trip yesterday. I cannot say enough how wonderful it was - so many magical moments! DD4 had such a great time, and DH has become a convert - he said we could go to WDW every year if we have the funds for it. WOO HOO! :cool1:

I haven't had a chance to get caught up on what's been happening here, but I hope everyone is happy and healthy. I have mountains of laundry to tackle so this is just a quick hello. I'll post some details of my trip if anyone's interested. Have a great day everyone! :wave2:

Zero Glad your trip was great. After today I'm ready to hopp on any plane.

Bunchy Sounds like your Mom's day was great.:thumbsup2

I been busy with Alex's school projects. Have I ever mentioned that I hate school projects. I think they are basically there to drive the parents crazy.

Hope everyone got to enjoy the warm weather and no one blew away in the wind.

Hi gang! Just a quick drop by and then back to work.

Disneygal - Yea on the Disney wedding! If you want more guests, just ask!

Bunchkin - Did you like the museum? We have been there numerous time. You can get free kids admission passes at the local Business expos when the museum puts up there display. Sometimes, the library has free events there. And I think there are free days during the Christmas parade the day after Thanksgiving. Is the new space display open yet?

Paint - Bummer about the job. Good luck on the job search and the hall search.

To everybody else - Hi and I read your post, too!
Lori

Today is my day off!!!!! :woohoo:
I have a lot going on too ::yes::
This morning I go to the doctor to discuss the results of that glucose intolerance test, then I need to go to work for a short bit to place an order, than my mom and I are going to go buy our flowers (I love doing this, and it's one of my favorite days of the year), and then I have a lot of misc type things to do after that. It'll be a busy day, but still great, because I can do it at a relaxing pace:thumbsup2

I went and got my haircut yesterday, and I got approx 4 inches cut off - I love it!!!!!:goodvibes I was starting to feel like I had a lions mane around my face, and I was just tired of it!!!!!

paint - Don't you hate it when you accidentally fall back asleep - I've done that before:eek: This is why I set 2 alarms, because I don't trust myself with only one :sad2:
**I hope everything goes well with planning the rehearsal dinner today. I had my rehearsal dinner at an Edwardos, and it was alot of fun!!!!! The Edwardos by us has a small room, and it was just big enough for all of us:thumbsup2

Tiggggggggggern - It does sound like you've been busy!!! :faint:
**When it comes to the walking, it's very hard sometimes to get myself outside, but once I'm outside, and breathe that fresh air, I'm so glad that I did (especially now with all the wonderful smells of trees blooming and Lilac bushes in full bloom). I'm also about to commit to the Tower of Terror 13K, and if I do that, than I have to make sure I really commit to training for it, because I need to keep a 15min mile for 8.1 miles. It's to bad you don't live closer to me, because than you could go walking with me in the mornings:)

DG - I'm always for starting things early so you don't have to be stressed out later (I set my holiday table 2 days prior to the holiday, just so I don't have to be stressed out later  ). I had my whole wedding 100% planned and done 2 months before my wedding, because I wanted no stress - I was so proud of that, but I also had a very long engagement like you :)

Zero - Welcome home!!!!!!:yay: I'm so glad that you had a nice time, and I can hardly wait to hear more about your trip!!!!

HERSEY - I agree about the school projects ::yes:: I believe that we, the parents, should also get a grade on these projects, because if it weren't for us, these projects would never be done as nicely:rolleyes: My mom says that we never had big projects that like the kids have today, so what the heck?!?! What is Alex's latest project??

momto1 - :wave2:

Well, I gotta run and get myself going - have a good day today everyone!!

Slo He has to make puppets of Skylla and some six head sea monster thing from the odessey. They are reading that book in his english class (snore) skylla is giving me fitts she is a whirlpool. How do you make a whirl pool puppet? the six headed thing was easy:laughing:

So did anyone get sleep last night. It was so loud I thought several times we were going to get hit with lightening or at least drown.

Well I must go and get dressed for work.

Good Morning Everyone! :flower3: So i've been thinking of save the date cards. even though we can't actually set the date for another 10 months :confused3 i want to send out save the dates to the people we really want to come so they can start saving. I do a lot of scrapbooking and card making so I was thinking something along the lines of "Save the date mid-April 2010 We're going to the chapel (i have a really cute stamp for this) and the Castle! (need to find either a stamp or punch) More details to follow! does that sound too cheasy? i don't know... i'm back and forth on it. i love this planning stuff! especially when i can include Disney!!!

Slo ~ good luck at the doc today! i hope everything works out!:wizard: and have lots of fun buying flowers. my dad and i were going to go on mothers day like we always do but the weather was crappy... maybe we will go this weekend!

Zero ~ welcome back!! cant wait to hear all about your trip!
