Howdy!! :wave2:

Man, I hate coffee!!! Bleckchhhh!!! :scared: I don't think I'll ever like it!
I went to Trader Joe's this morning to shop and they always have free coffee and stuff to try. So, I tried some French Roast. Gag me with a spoon!! :headache:
Anyone else here not like coffee?
Give me tea any ole day! :thumbsup2 Hot tea, iced tea!!
You can always find ice tea at my house!! :goodvibes

I love their cheddar cubes. :)
I hope I never get that busy... :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 ;) :lmao:

We noticed this past trip to Lou's that they have cheddar cubes, but we didn't order them. Maybe next time!

slo That's great you have Wednesdays off now!! :thumbsup2
Hope you got through all your errands.
Dooney and Bourke bags have been around for a really long time. They are in the nicer stores: Macy, Niemann, Carson. And they have their own stores too. I went to their outlet store at the Aurora Prime outlet mall. Got a great deal on it. The mall also has a Kate Spade store (don't you like those bags?) and a Coach store too.

disneygal Favors are fun!! :) 'Save the date' cards may be a good idea for getting people to consider going to WDW and being able to plan ahead for it!! :thumbsup2

Zero Welcome back!!! Trip report please!!! ::yes::

Hersey How about batting from the fabric store streched out and put in a spiral form?

Tiggerrn Did your Dh fix the car yet so you can sell it?

momto1 I must have forgot to mention we never made it to the musuem. So, we are going this weekend...if we have time. We are having a subdivision garage sale this weekend.
The museum is free this weekend, if I remember right.

Slo- Doesn't it feel wierd to run your hands through your hair when you wash it right after you get a lot trimmed off?
Hope you enjoyed your day off!
Hersey- I hate those projects that kids are assigned which they couldn't possibly do! Those are pretty much for parents!
Bunchkin- I used to hate coffee, but slowly, over the years have grown to love it! It started with things with a hint of mocha, like tiramisu. Now I can't live without my morning cup. Or cups!
Dgal- Are you a scrapper or stamper? I am but decided against doing my own invites. Too much other stuff going on!
Being a sahm? I was one for the first 6 years. It is tough. It can get boring and is a lot of work, most of which is thankless! I am glad I got to spend the time with my kids, though. When df and I have a child, I will have to work. I am not going through all thisschool just to turn around and stay home again!
Zero- Welcome back! Have fun with :laundy:
Tig, Momto- I sure hope I find a new job! This is not a time for me to be without an income! I have too much "out go"!

It's official. The restaurant closes Sunday. Guess I'll have plenty of time to do wedding stuff. I have to say, seeing my ticker is stressing me out.
Got my grades today. 3 A's and one C. My first ever. Normally, I'd be upset, but it was Spanish and I am happy to have passed. Now, only two more semesters of pure torture. Woohoo!

Hi gang! What a morning I had. I had car trouble on the way to work (my own stupidity that I dont' care to discuss). So my car is at an auto repair shop in Darien and I had to rent a car to get to work. They still haven't called to say what damage I have done, what was originally wrong and how much this is going to cost me. Uh...oh...

Slo - great job on the walking. And, I think you should do the Tower of Terror 13K. DH and DS are going to the Exhibition Everst 5k in September. DH hasn't run in a really, really long time. He better come work out with you!

Disneygal - Your save the date card sounds nice. Do your guests know that the Castle is in Disney or will that take an explanation. If you have time and the talent (I don't!), I would go for it.

Bunchkin - I like coffe and love iced tea! I hope you like the museum. Let me know if the space exhibit is open yet. I think it is supposed to be on the 2nd floor.

Hi to everybody else! Hope your day is going good.
Lori

Bunchkin Don't mess with my Joe! I like my coffee I also like tea hot or cold.

Thanks for the cotton batting suggestion. I had thought of that. I have to think of some way to make it stiff so the whirl pool doesn't flop over.

Head's up to everyone tomorrow is McD's free chicken sandwich day just buy a med or large drink.

Speaking of FREEBIES and COFFEE...tomorrow, the 15th, from 10-10, free iced coffee at Dunkin Donuts!:surfweb:

My mom and I had a great time going flower shopping this year :flower:
We have a nice time every year, but this year was especially nice, because the girls weren't with me (that sounds terrible doesn't it?!). But when they are wish, I"m constantly telling them to stay by me, don't touch the flowers, no we can't have that, and etc. Yesterday, I could just do my own thing - it was great!!!!!! :woohoo:

Everything at the doctors went well. The doctor definitly doesn't think I'm diabetic, and he doesn't think I'm hypoglycemic either - which is good news :) He definitly thinks I'm sugar intolerant, which means, my body doesn't like sugar, and therefore it fights it, when I ingest it, which is why I get the headaches. Before he makes a total diagnosis though, he's having me take my blood sugar 3 times a day for 2 weeks, to see what that shows. I don't have my little machine set up for today, but I need to get it set up for tomorrow. I need to take my blood sugar when I wake up, after I work out, and before dinner. After the doctor sees my log on the blood sugars, he'll be able to make his final diagnosis - so we'll see what happens!!!!!

HERSEY - How is Alex making puppets? Does he have to do some sewing? It sounds hard:eek:

DG - I think the cards sounds cute!!!!! :goodvibes

Bunchkin - I love love love my coffee, and had to cut myself down on it last year (I was drinking 3/4 of a pot everyday). I'm the direct opposite of you though, and I'm always trying to like tea, because I feel I should like iced tea, and I just can't do it - I can't stand it!!!!!!!:scared: I want to like it, because everyone else I know likes, heck the whole world likes it, but I just can't done it:sad2:
**I'll have to check the bags out the next time at Macys - I'm curious on how they look now. I do like Kate Spade (good memory) and I would love more of her purses :)

paint - I'm so sorry to hear the restaurant is closing so soon :guilty: I was really hoping that would close at the end of the month, so you would have time to find another job.
**Good job on your report card - those grades sound great!!!!! :woohoo:

momto1 - I'm sorry about the car trouble  If it makes you feel any better, last year (dec 07) I backed into Kevin's car with my car, and did a ton of damage to both vehicles:eek: Try not to beat yourself up - we all do goofy things

MMFan, Mac, and paint - :wave2:

Well, I'm off to get outside and start walking
Have a good day today everyone!!!

Can I budge into this thread and ask a question? I'm not from Chicago, but I may be taking a trip to that area. If you had to choose a time to visit, would you go in July/August or Columbus day weekend?

It's kind of dramatic, but I recently found and have been talking to some half-siblings that live in that area. They may come here to NY in the fall, but I have thought about going to Chicago to visit them instead. If I went, I would want to also bring my kids and see some sights around town. My father grew up there.

Good morning everyone!! :wave2: It looks like we are going to have a nice today in our area today :cool1:

Went to the Cubs game on Tues and it rained  but it looks like it might be nice Friday when i go again

Hope everyone has a great day!

Well, I would go in October (that is Columbus Day weekend, right?) just for the weather. I really hate the heat and the humidity that we have in July and August. If you come then, it could be the middle of a heat wave, with temps and humidity so high that they suggest no one does much of anything. Early October can still be fairly nice, not super cold yet or anything.

October can still be fairly nice, not super cold yet or anything.

I totally agree! October would be much better than late summer.

Hey everyone! :wave2:

I have been TOTALLY MIA. I've been obsessing over how to begin my PTR and also designing the cover of my trip binder. That with work, the crazy DD5 and DS6's soccer games, has been keepin' us hoppin!

Geez!!! I wish it would get WARM! As in WARM WARM! LIke.... geez- 70s?

Where the heck is spring?

Hope all is well- I joined this thread thinking I could commit to it but alas, I didn't last very long! :rotfl2:

:cool2: See you l8r! Have a great day!

Good Morning Everyone! :flower3: I'm super tired. Not sleeping well for some reason this week. I'm waking up pretty much every half hour and then can't fall back to sleep right away. it is quite frustrating. it is only week 2 of summer classes and i already hate my drafting class. i'm terrible at it. my line weights are all uneven and when i get them even the teacher says they are too crayon-like... grrr. who would have thought drawing lines could be so difficult:confused3

Bunchkin ~ I can't stand coffee!! I don't mind the smell of it but hate the taste!

Paint ~ I'm both a scrapper and a stamper. My mom used to sell Stampin' Up! so I learned a lot from her! we used to make all of our cards and they were great, but since she has passed away it gets hard to do that still! BUT i still use them in my scrapbooks! My sisters and I are going to make all my save the dates and engagement announcements!

Momto1~ I'm going to include April 2010 in Walt Disney World. We would love for you to be able to join us. or something along those lines! The skills to do this? yes i have those! the time??? not so much but i will find some way to make it work!

Slo ~ Glad to hear the doc appointment went well. Glad to hear you aren't diabetic or hypoglycemic, but sugar intolerance could be hard too! Good luck :wizard:

tw1nsmom ~ I'd say October. There is always something fun going on in the city!

Everyone else ~ :wave2:

Hope everyone has a fabulous day! :flower3:

Thanks for the advice everyone! We, as a family, don't do well with heat, so I'll shoot for October.

disneygal ~ Is that a wedding date ticker I see? Did I miss it before, or is it new? Last I read, you were still unsure of the date.

I need to go get a shower, but I am addicted to this computer ;) I am reading a book to Lauren's class today, and them I am going to get my haircut and maybe even colored.

Piglet~ it IS a wedding ticker!! (and yes it is new!) I couldn't wait until the date is set in stone 8 months prior, so I used the date we are planning on, April 19, 2010. It's a monday, we thought our guests wouldnt mind seeing as they'd be taking a vacation to come anyway! :confused3 It also saves us lots of $$$ by having it on a weekday!

Hi all!!

Been so busy today running errands. And tonight we have to set up for the subdivision garage sale. Lots of good quality kids clothes and toys, some funiture and household stuff. Oh and a bunch of Crocs too! :)

I haven't mentioned it here before, but it's official, we are putting our house up for sale this weekend. Hoping that since the economy is slowing turning around that we won't have a long wait till it's sold. :thumbsup2

slo If you do have a chance to go to the Aurora outlet mall, you should take a look at the Kate Spade outlet store there.
I don't remember you saying before that you had backed into Kevin's car!

Hersey What about fabric stiffener or spray glue to make the batting stiff?

tw1nsmom Oct. is best weather wise, but Columbus Day weekend it is a very busy tourist weekend. Hotel rates are high and can be hard to come by in certain areas of the city. Book early! :thumbsup2

piglet What did you read at your DD's school today? Get your hair cut?

paint So sorry to hear the restaurant is closing so soon!! :sad2:
I hope there is something else out there just waiting for you!!! :thumbsup2

disneygal Ah, yes!!! Someone else who doesn't like coffee!!!

Mckymousefn That's too bad you were at that wet Cubs game the other night! We go to our first game on July 10th!!

Gotta run and go pick up DD from chorus club in a while. Then off to pick up Market Day, then dinner and set up for tomorrow's sale.

Have a great night all!!
