DS I agree with you, a new building would be best.

They announced today that the budget for tearing down Cole Hall and building a new building would be $40 million, so in government dollars that means the final cost will be $400 million. ;)

:surfweb:

DMM - My hospital didn't ask me any of those questions about Stephanie :sad2: It's so sad that your hospital has seen babies with tattoos and piercings  What are those parents thinking?!

TTTTTTigern - I'm sorry you are still coughing :guilty: I'll send some get well PD your way :wizard:

piglet - Please keep us posted on how your DD's hearing test goes. I'll keep her in my prayers that she has no hearing loss, and I'll send some PD her way too :wizard:
**I just read she had the test yesterday. I'm glad she doesn't have a huge hearing loss (even though any isn't good). I hope the doctor is able to help her out.:wizard:

Bunchkin - I can't handle Stephanie growing up either :sad2: When I was a child, we saw the "growing up" video in 5th grade, and I was hoping that it would be that way for Stephanie. I wonder if they do it in 4th grade here too  Does the school seperate the kids, and the boys have their own video?
**I knew the store was moving, but I'm shocked they aren't keeping the theater:eek: We've never seen a show there, but I always wanted to take Stephanie. Maybe I'll have to make a date with my mom to take Stephanie sometime before it leaves.

HERSEY - Stephanie is doing great, thanks for asking :goodvibes She was totally over her surgery by the end of the surgery day:)

DS - I hope the demolition of the old building, and the building of new building, helps the students and staff members. :)

To everyone else - :wave2:

That's about it from me today
Have a good day everyone!!!

Morning everyone  I leave tomorrow and I just can't seem to get excited about it! I hope once we are the way to the airport this cloud of reality will just disappear for the small bit we are there :)

slo The school does seperate the girls from the boys to see the movie.
Which is a good thing! Yesterday I told Lauren that they would be showing this movie at the end of March and we had a little discussion about it. It's the last thing she wanted to hear!!!! ;)

You, Stephanie and your mom would have a great time seeing the play at AG Place. We've done the same thing here with my mom. We went and saw the Christmas play they do (or did, I guess would be more accurate!). It was a great time.

DMM Have a great time on your trip to WDW!!! :cool1:

Hersey Lauren has ISAT's next week too, I think a lot of schools do. Has Alex's classes been studing for them? Lauren's has.
So what did you make for dinner last night?

Hi to everyone!! :wave2: :hippie:

i ordered two large pizzas from dominos for dinner.

i put them in the fridge and when the sons get hungry.......and come home.....
they'll find that ......

mr mac still has the flu.
i keep him full of water and mountain dew.

:surfweb:

I love the fact that today is Friday:banana:
It's so nice to know that I have 2 days w/o rushing to get everyone out of the house:)

DMM - Have a wonderful and safe trip!!! I can hardly wait to hear all about it after you get home :)

Bunchkin - It's good the school seperates the boys from the girls. It will be interesting to hear what Lauren has to say after she sees that movie. I know after STephanie sees it at her school, she'll be FULL of quesitons, and not just that day, but for many days after (I know how she is:rolleyes: ) I will just have to insist that any of her questions are in private, and not in front of Katie.

Mac - I'm sorry to hear about Mr Mac :guilty: I will send alot of get well PD his way to feel better soon :wizard:

That's about it from me today
I hope you all have a great Friday!!!!

Hey Tiggggggerrrnnnnnnnnn.......................

Are you working today?
If you are, you'll have to let us know how many babies are born today.
My friends dad was born on Leap Year, and he says that he's much younger than what he really is because he doesn't have a birthday every year :rotfl: We always tell him - good try!!!!

TGIF! It is even supposed to be kind of warm on Sunday- 50 by me!

Slo- That bill for your store does seem high! I called and they said they est. every other month and last month they underestimated. It was 30% colder this year and the est. was based on last year's bill. Lucky me!
Bunchkin- I went to Catholic school. We didn't get the video until 7th gr.! DD (6) knows about feminine stuff and how babieg get out, but I am so not ready to discuss how they get IN!
DS- I, too, think a new building would be best. I don't think things csn ever go back to normal there now- it will always be a reminder. A memorial would be a nice tribute, honoring all those who lost someone or something on that day.
Hersey- DS has ISATs, too. I asked if I could call him in sick " 'cuz its boring!" Uh, no!

Lots of homework this weekend, as usual. I have apaper due Tues. that I'd like to get done! Also, the kids are off Mon., so I am taking them to see "Penelope". Anyone planning on seeing it?

Morning!!!! I can't wait to go!! we have a later flight, but part of me wants to just hang out at the airport! hahahahah!!!

Friday!!!! :cool1:

slo The school sent home a note yesterday letting parents know when they will show the DVD and included a form to sign if you DIDN'T want your child to view it. And it invited parents to attend if they wish. Lauren didn't indicate she wanted me to go. I think it would be kind of embarassing to have your parent right there watching along with the girls.
But luckily Lauren and I have had some talks already so it won't be a total suprise to her as to what it discusses! :thumbsup2

paint Your statement of "but I am so not ready to discuss how they get IN!" made me laugh!!!! I totally agree!!!

mac Sorry to hear your DH has the flu.

Right now I am listening to the song 'Oh, Yeah' by Yellow. It's that song that was in the Ferris Bueller movie!!! Very popular in the 80's!!

Have a great weekend everyone!
No school for my kids on Monday!! :cool1:

Hi gang! It's finally Friday. Sounds like next week is the ISAT for a lot of our offspring. Now remember...good nights sleep, good breakfast, etc, etc, etc.

DMM- Have a great trip! We can't wait for a report.

Slo - I might be going to the outlet mall in Michigan City with mom this weekend. Any suggestions on good places to eat that are near the mall. I don't want to venture off the path and get lost trying to eat.

Candlelight Bowling fundraiser for baseball is tonight. I always dread these things but these things but they are always more fun than I expect. I do like trying to get good deals on the gift baskets and silent auction items. Once I got 4 one day passes to Disney!

Not much else planned for the weekend. Talk to you all later.
Lori

And the LITTLE GIRL IS GETTING HIGHLIGHTS IN HER HAIR!!!!

Sounds to me like the mother is trying to treat her daughter like her "Dolly". I wonder what will happen years from now when some researcher determines that these chemicals are hazardous to your children or something like that. I wonder if this mother will be getting her kid a "chest enhancement" when she's 10.

The world's going crazy!!

Hi everyone! Roman is home and asleep! My little guy was a trooper! The doctors were phenomenal! He was in and out within 30 minutes.

The bad news.....

They found zero fluid in his ears.

The tubes MAY still help his hearing by opening up the ear canal fully! We will find out for sure on March 12 if there is any difference in the ear test.

So all in all it was a good day!

Thanks for thinking about him!

Have fun on your trip. Hopefully MAC is right and the tubes will help.

MAC hope Mr MAC feels better..

Greetings -

Happy Friday- I am so glad that this week is over...
Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Hi all-
I guess I spoke too soon about my dad.
He woke up with stomach pain on Thurs. He took some stomach meds but they didn't help. My mom took him to the ER Thurs evening. Got admitted and done bunch of tests. Found out this afternoon that he was going to need emergency surgery on his bowel obstruction. He just got out of surgery and surgery went well. Had his spleen removed b/c it was so inflamed. Also had a bowel resection done. Sorry, TMI.
I was at the hospital earlier today. My mom told me she didn't need me to be at the hospital for the surgery. She wanted to wait by herself.
He'll be in the hospital for a few days. That's the update.

Talking about ISATs- our school's is next week also. My kids' school had an ISAT pep rally today! :)
Just wondering if our principal had on a cheerleading outfit for it. LOL.

I love Saturdays, because I close at 4pm, and the day always goes by so fast:)

paint - Good luck with your homework this weekend :wizard:

DMM - I hope you having a nice time in the warmer weather :sunny:

Bunchkin - I love that song, and I love that movie!!! I remember, like yesterday, when my Grandma took me to see Ferris Buellers Day Off (we saw TONS of movies together). When I think of these times, it really makes me miss her terribly - she was a wonderful grandma!!!! :goodvibes

momto1 - How was the Candellight bowl last night? I hope it was fun!!! :cool1:
**Unfortunately, there's really no where to eat right by the mall:sad2: There's many places off the expressway, and down a bit, but that's it. Inside the mall, there's an awful restaurant in the building where Levis is located, and there's also a Subway, that has extremely little seating. It's a shame that this place doesn't have more places to eat. When we go, we always go out for a big breakfast, and I take snacks for the kids to tide them over until dinner. Have you ever been there before? Do you know that it's outside? Have a good time, and don't buy to much :teeth:

Crissup - I often feel the world is going crazy too ::yes::

geffric and Joe - :wave2:

Rose - I'm sorry to hear about your dad :guilty: I will keep him in my thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery, and for that surgery to be a big help for him. :wizard: Please keep us updated on how he is doing?

Well, I gotta go get ready for work
Have a good day today everyone!!!

SATURDAY!!!

Planing on going to see Spiderwick tomorrow morning. Has anyone been to see this yet?

slo Have a nice, shorter day at work! :thumbsup2
That's crazy what you said about that mall! Don't the two go hand in hand, food and shopping?!!!!
You're grandmother sounds like a very nice grandma indeed!! :goodvibes I hope I can be the same way for my kid's children. ::yes::

paint How's the homework coming along?
Still going to go see Penelope? Let us know your review!

rose Sorry to hear your dad needed more surgery. I hope his recovery goes well.

Crissup The world is crazy!!! :sad2:

momto1 How was the Candlelight bowl?

HI TO EVERYONE!!!

Too much work needed to be done around here today!!! :headache:
I'm devising an escape plan!!! :rolleyes1

Bunchkin- Yep. Great song. I remember blasting it from the tape deck of my sweet Berretta!
Slo- Cool Gma! My cool gma, sadly, passed when I was little. My living Gma has always been kind of a stick in the mud (sorry)!
momto- Yeah. There aren't any good places to eat at that mall. I think they opened a deli or something too, but just get some candy to tide you over. Between the expressway and the outlet mall isa regular mall. You'll pass Chili's, all kinds of fast food and chain eateries. Happy shopping!

Look at me. Up early to work on my paper (but on the DIS). Okay. Back to work. Have a great morning!

Good morning!

Bunch ALex saw Spiderwick last week and loved it. It isn't not like the book though according to critic Alex.

Rose Hope your dad recovers quickly.

Paint get your paper done so you can play.

Slo Those are precious memories

Ok enough playing for me I have to find my house. It's somewhere in this mess.
