Yesterday was a bummer of a day - my washing machine died on me while washing laundry

It started making this awful noise, and then started making this awful electrical burning smell, and then died

Kevin called an appliance place to see if it's worth fixing, and they said it would in our best interest to buy a new one (because the price of fixing would be the same or slightly less than a new one). I was not happy!!!!!

So I had to ring out all that watered logged laundry (that was in freezing cold water), and scoop out all that water (Kevin was outside fixing the snowblower that pooped out - luckily he was able to fix that). After church I took my basket of very heavy, watered logged laundry to my mom's who is going to rewash everything for me

Then after dinner we went to Sears Appliance and purchased a new machine, which will be delivered on Saturday. We bought a Kenmore and with a rebate we paid approx $425

So, until I get the new one, I have a week of doing no laundry

As much as that sounds great, I fear how much laundry I will have to do once I get the machine
Thanks to all that gave well wishes for my Stephanie - I appreciate it!!!!
HERSEY - I get cabin fever very easily too

I personally don't need to be anywhere, but I do LOVE to be outside. When it's nice outside I sit on our front deck everyday - it's my favorite place of the whole house. I also get very antsy for the pool to be open again, because I love sitting out by the pool - another one of my favorite things to do

Hopefully winter will go by fast so we can start getting out and about again
DG - I can hardly wait to hear your movie review of Bride Wars

. I really want to see it, and I hope it's good.
Rose - The surgery Stephanie needs to have is to patch the hole, the tube she had, left in her ear. I guess all the draining puss Stephanie has had can start to crystalize inside the ear, and if she has any of that, it was also need to get cleaned out. My Pediatrician didn't see any trace of that, but she said the ENT has a tool that will magnify the inside of the ear so he will see better than she can.
ID - I"m sorry to hear of your son being sick

I hope his mediciane will make him better ASAP
geffric - I'm glad the snow didn't keep you from going to the funeral. I bet you did have to leave early - how long did it take you to get to Orland?
TTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTigern - I"m so glad that Kyle is starting to feel better

I will send lots of PD your way so that the rest of the family doesn't get this virus
Donna - So, so many hugs to you and Mark

I am so sorry to hear about Mary Beth passing away

I know you are a religious person, so I am comfortable in saying to you that the Lord, Jesus Christ, is embracing Mary Beth right now. He has called her home, and she is now in a perfect place!!!! I will keep you, Mark, and the rest of your family in my thoughts and prayers
To everyone else -
Well, I must get going and get dressed - we have people coming over today. My FIL (and maybe MIL) is coming over to help solve some thermostat issues (we think we need to move it - my last NIPSCO bill was $560 and I don't live in a large home - just a quad level house). Kevin's friend, and Katie's Godfather, said he's coming over today to visit. So, I guess I should be showered and dressed for all these visitors
I hope you all have a good day today!!!
