I am glad we are in a lull in the storm. This morning was not too bad of a drive.

Slo Be careful with little Sophie. Luckily coyotes are kind of shy. I hope all is well with the girls.

Tigg Sorry to hear sickness has darkened your door as well. Sorry to hear about your Aunt

Geffric hopefully your drive will be clear this evening.

Paint :woohoo: on your upcoming trip.

disneygal922 Glad you found your little roommate. Hopefully his is friendless.;) I am the bug killer here. I don't get to be scared.

Well, it appears that Stephanie is going to need another surgery:guilty: I will need to take her to her ENT to make all the final plans.

Katie did totally awesome with her 2 shots - I was so proud of her!!! She didn't shed a single tear - what a tuffy!!!! :teeth:

I am now waiting for out hot ham & cheeses to get done in the oven, and then we can eat and go to our church function. Kevin just left for a fire, so I don't know if Katie will have to go with us or not. Katie is rather crabby right now, which I think is from the stress of the shots (I think she is tired), so I'm hoping Kevin gets home in time to leave her home.

geffric - I hope the snow stays away long enough for you to attend the wake:wizard:

Mac - How much snow have you received so far?

Tiiiiiigern - How is Kyle today? I hope he is getting better:wizard:

DG - To funny about the spider:laughing: I throw all my dead spiders in the toilet and flush them away - this way they are gone for sure!!!!!!:thumbsup2
**We got those type of sheets too, and I just put them on our bed for the first time on Monday, and I LOVE THEM!!!!!! The only downfall of them is that I have a very hard time leaving them - I want to stay in bed all morning. I look forward to tomorrow when I can sleep in with them :goodvibes

piglet - I've never had a spider bite - thank goodness!!!!!:)

ID - I"m sorry about all the sicknesses in your house:guilty: I hope everyone gets better soon and is able to go to school on Monday:wizard:

paint - :wave2:

momto1 - Thanks for the info about the cruise - I may consider doing this someday:)
*The forest runs along the entire east side of my house (the forest is my neighbor) so I can't avoid it. I don't use the backyard because it's just easier for me to take her out front (the lighting is better too). Plus, I worry about the wildlife getting into our backyard, and hiding under our deck - that would scare the crap out of me. At least out front I can see everything around me, and scare it away, like last night, if necessary. I hope I don't see them again tonight - I did not like them!!!!!!

HERSEY - I always heard coyotes were shy too, but these weren't. The one trotted quickly toward us, and for a long time they stood and stared at us (you could see there eyes reflecting light, which creeps me out - eye's staring at me from the dark of the forest:scared1:  :scared: ) Very unsettling!!!! The deer don't scare me (well once they did and one quickly approached us), the raccoons and possumms (sp?) don't scare me, but these coyotes sure do:eek:

Well, I better go take out my sandwiches and get us fed - have a good night!!!!

slo, i'm sorry to hear stephanie will need another ear surgery.
keeping her and your family in my prayers.

Geffric ~ I'm at 20 N Wacker :goodvibes and I think Leigh works around here too!

Yeah, 500 W. Madison, the Ogilvie Transportation Center.

Sometime the three of us will have to get together for lunch! (But not this month, I'm totally busy. I have to go into work tomorrow. :sad2: )

It felt so good sleep in, and it feels even better that I don't have to shovel today (Kevin is out snowblowing right now:) ) I could learn how to use the snowblower, for when he's not home, but I sorta like the exercise I get when I shovel:thumbsup2

Our church function last night was nice. It was a special Mass and get together for all people that volunteer their services for the church. It was nice to see so many people and visit with them :goodvibes

keeping her and your family in my prayers.
Thanks Mac, I appreciate it!!! :)

Well, I'm off to make myself some breakfast, and then jump into the shower. I"m not planning on going into work today, but I like to be ready in case they need me unexpectedly (I live less than a mile away, so if they have a question about something I can be there in 5 minutes).

Have a good day!!!

It is still snowing. I feel like such a crab. I really don't have anywhere I need to be but I like to be able to get out. I get cabin fever easy.

Slo Sorry to hear about Stephanie. Hopefully this will do the trick.

I hope everyone is doing well and staying warm.

Good Morning Everyone! :flower3: I'm babysitting my nephews for a few hours today. Other than that I have no pressing plans for this weekend. I might go see Bride Wars with my sister tomorrow! It will be nice to have a weekend to just hang out!

Leigh ~ We should get together sometime!

Slo ~ I'm so sorry to hear Stephanie has to have another surgery. :sad2: Hopefully, this one will make everything better! :wizard:

Everyone else ~ :wave2: have a wonderful weekend!

Just a note to let you know that Mark's sister Mary Beth passed away on Thursday after her very courageous battle with cancer. Someday we will find a cure for that horrible, awful cancer.

Please keep our families in your prayers.

Thanks, friends....

I am very sorry to hear that Mary Beth lost her battle with cancer. My thoughts are with all of her family and friends during this difficult time.

Hi all-

Slo- sorry to hear Stephanie has to have another surgery. Is this to put another tube in her ear? to both you and Stephanie.

Tiggerrn- sorry to hear your aunt passed away

Paint- cool that your trip is scheduled :woohoo:

Hi geffric and mac :wave2:

Hi to all :wave2:

Hi guys! OK, it can stop snowing now!!! :scared1: DH snowblowed this morning and he's going to have to do it again but it won't stop snowing....

Well, DSs temp was up to 102 this morn so I got him into the MD. It wasn't his ears thank goodness but it was strep so he's on amoxicilian for 10days. He has spent the entire day on the couch watching Spiderman cartoons, he never stays in one spot for long so I know he must be sick! ;)

DH and DD are back to normal, hopefully DD11 and I will stay healthy!

momto1 - DH asked me to see if you booked the moving van. :rotfl:

paint - Ooh, PSB sounds like fun. We've got time so let's see if we can work it out. Our DDs are nearly the same age, mine will be 8 in August.

slo - so sorry Stephanie will need another surgery, I hope it will be the last for her. Congrats to Katie on being so brave!!

Donna - Condolences to you all on your loss, will keep you in our prayers.

Hersey - I'm with you on the snow, not that I have plans to go out but knowing I can't (or shouldn't) makes me depressed.

disneygal - have fun with your nephews today!
*If you see Bride Wars please give us a review, DD11 wants to see it.

Well, I'm off to figure out what's for dinner. I hope everyone is warm and safe! Have a great night.....:flower3:

well said.. prayers for you and Mark.

Very early this am, i went to the funeral of my friends Mom is Orland Park, I had to be at the funeral home on 159th at 8 am so needless to say I left Palatine very early.. first had to shovel a bit to get my car out, then I text the kids to finish the shoveling. I got home about 1 ish and they had shoveled.. and it is still snowing.. went to SAMs for a few things and their lot wasn't plowed at all..back home I shoveled again..It can stop snowing now for the rest of the year, I am tired of this..

SLO - sorry that Stephanie has to have another surgery..

geffric, that was so good of you to attend the funeral for your mom's sake. you are a devoted daughter.
you mother is blessed to have you.

it is so difficult to let go of any loved one.
we love them so much, we want to keep them with us longer.

since that is not in the plan, and we can't decide who is to leave us, all we can do is keep good thoughts knowing you will see them again some day.

it stopped snowing here now about an hour ago.
we got 13 inches today.
good thing is we did not have any wind with the snow falling.
we have streets in our town that haven't been plowed yet.

going out to grab a bite to eat.
doing a local place tonight.

it's just a sandwich, salad, soup place.
oh, and pizza......

can't forget the 4 basic foods.

btw, is diet day to start on the 15th still?

Evening all.
Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers.
Donna, so sorry to hear about Mark's sister. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.
Slo, I was hoping Steph would luck out. Hopefully the procedure will be fairly simple and pain free. Send her a hug and good wishes!
DS is finally feeling better as of yesterday. That was the longest fever associated with nothing that either of my children have ever had. :confused3 I have no idea what little bug caused it but I certainly hope it missing DD altogether.
Next weekend is Winterdance. Rehearsal Thurs. and dances Fri, Sat and Sun. No time for sickness here next week!
Sorry to hear others are now infected with a bug too. Just the season I guess. to all.
Need to shove off to bed and get a little light reading in. Have to finish that book by Tues. (It will never happen.:rolleyes1 )

tiiiggggrrrrennnnnn, very good to hear that your son is starting to do better...

Mac Not that I wished you more snow, I thought you would have gotten more. I think we got somewhere around a foot of snow.

I stayed in yesterday no driving. I just went out with Alex to shovel and clean off the car, that was enough for me. I need to brave the weather and do some errands today.

Hope everyone is staying warm and dry.

Yesterday was a bummer of a day - my washing machine died on me while washing laundry:guilty: It started making this awful noise, and then started making this awful electrical burning smell, and then died:guilty: Kevin called an appliance place to see if it's worth fixing, and they said it would in our best interest to buy a new one (because the price of fixing would be the same or slightly less than a new one). I was not happy!!!!!:sad2: So I had to ring out all that watered logged laundry (that was in freezing cold water), and scoop out all that water (Kevin was outside fixing the snowblower that pooped out - luckily he was able to fix that). After church I took my basket of very heavy, watered logged laundry to my mom's who is going to rewash everything for me:) Then after dinner we went to Sears Appliance and purchased a new machine, which will be delivered on Saturday. We bought a Kenmore and with a rebate we paid approx $425:thumbsup2 So, until I get the new one, I have a week of doing no laundry:thumbsup2 As much as that sounds great, I fear how much laundry I will have to do once I get the machine:scared:

Thanks to all that gave well wishes for my Stephanie - I appreciate it!!!!:goodvibes

HERSEY - I get cabin fever very easily too ::yes:: I personally don't need to be anywhere, but I do LOVE to be outside. When it's nice outside I sit on our front deck everyday - it's my favorite place of the whole house. I also get very antsy for the pool to be open again, because I love sitting out by the pool - another one of my favorite things to do:goodvibes Hopefully winter will go by fast so we can start getting out and about again:wizard:

DG - I can hardly wait to hear your movie review of Bride Wars:) . I really want to see it, and I hope it's good.

Rose - The surgery Stephanie needs to have is to patch the hole, the tube she had, left in her ear. I guess all the draining puss Stephanie has had can start to crystalize inside the ear, and if she has any of that, it was also need to get cleaned out. My Pediatrician didn't see any trace of that, but she said the ENT has a tool that will magnify the inside of the ear so he will see better than she can.

ID - I"m sorry to hear of your son being sick:guilty: I hope his mediciane will make him better ASAP:wizard: :wizard:

geffric - I'm glad the snow didn't keep you from going to the funeral. I bet you did have to leave early - how long did it take you to get to Orland?

TTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTigern - I"m so glad that Kyle is starting to feel better:) I will send lots of PD your way so that the rest of the family doesn't get this virus:wizard:

Donna - So, so many hugs to you and Mark    I am so sorry to hear about Mary Beth passing away:guilty: I know you are a religious person, so I am comfortable in saying to you that the Lord, Jesus Christ, is embracing Mary Beth right now. He has called her home, and she is now in a perfect place!!!! I will keep you, Mark, and the rest of your family in my thoughts and prayers:grouphug:

To everyone else - :wave2:

Well, I must get going and get dressed - we have people coming over today. My FIL (and maybe MIL) is coming over to help solve some thermostat issues (we think we need to move it - my last NIPSCO bill was $560 and I don't live in a large home - just a quad level house). Kevin's friend, and Katie's Godfather, said he's coming over today to visit. So, I guess I should be showered and dressed for all these visitors:upsidedow

I hope you all have a good day today!!!
