Calling all Adventurers!

We are planning to go back for our honeymoon. I was thinking about saving money by foregoing the Ultimate park hopper for a plus one, but my fiance said, "Are you kidding we're going to the Adventurer's Club every night, we need a lot more plusses!"

Sarah:teeth:

Sarah,

You may want to look into getting park hoppers and annual PI passes. Generally the Ultimate Park Hopper just isn't worth the cost. The cost of an PI annual pass is in the neighborhood of 55.00. If you go at least three times in a year, it's paid for itself. I love having it. I may only go to PI to spend an hour at the AC (the only place to go!) and I don't worry that I'm "wasting" a plus or full admission price. Just a thought.

BTW, I'm originally from Cleveland. Lived there my whole life until 3 1/2 years ago. Cleveland Rocks!

Everybody sing! "It's a small world afterall, it's a small..." and we can sing Cleveland Rocks at the same time. :)

Anyway, thanks for the suggestion. That's a great idea. That way I can use the pluses for Disney quest, which my future husband is obssessed with ( I like it too thank goodness).

And that way if I go again within the year *cross fingers* I can use them again.

I keep thinking that the UPH is so overpriced! Plus If we get a really great room only code *crossing fingers and toes!* then I can save crazy money.:teeth:

Thanks again!

Since we've got this thread a little active again does anyone know of any Adventurer's Club websites? I know that wdwig.com has some info, but I want more!

Unless they've changed it, pluses cannot be used for Disney Quest entry. It's the one thing the UPH has that PHs don't. However, Typhoon Lagoon is amazing, and I'm sure Blizzard Beach is as well. Last time we were at PI, you could buy a 5 night pass for 20 or 30 dollars, I can't remember which, but it seemed like a good deal at the time. The only reason we didn't buy it was that were on the FTP.

Oh I just assumed DQ was a plus option :(

How much are the DQ passes? $30? Yuck...decisions..

Thanks for the heads up.

I kinda dread the water parks b/c when I go (june-August) they uuually close by 11am or at least they did when we were there this August. The idea of them having to close a park b/c of capacity scares me. I get very uncomfortable around large groups of people. Now you're thinking "And you like Disney?" It's the space per person ratio. I don't like the AK because the park is smaller and you really feel how many people are there. I figure the water parks are the same.

Seeing as I haven't actually gone to the water parks I can't say this is true for them, but the idea of them closing a park due to capacity is really scarey for me.

Sarah if you get a Premium Annual pass, it covers DQ, PI all the parks including the water parks and special codes for room discounts. For exampl there is one out right now that gives you the value resorts for $49 a night! PAP's are expensive, but well worth in my opinion.

I would totally do that if I was going to go more than once in the year, but I doubt I will.

Thanks!

Adventurers Club addicts? Um...that would be me. Those are my sites and I am a horribly addicted AC fan.

I will be visiting in March and hope to finish the updates to my adventurersclub.net site shortly thereafter. I do hope to get several more video clips up before then. I have the cataloged, just have to add them.

The magazine site, theadventurersclub.net will pretty much stay as is except I am redesigning the cover.

I am also working on designing an Adventurers Club screen saver for my fellow junkies. Possibly even a desktop theme if I can get some help with that. :)

If anyone has pictures of themselves AT the Adventurers Club they would like included in my photo album (going up for the adventurersclub.net site) or just a great photo they would be willing to share with the "masses" please e-mail it to me at adventurerkat@adventurersclub.net

Hey 7thdwarf/dopey --- we are in you neck of the woods every couple of months. Our cousin's have a cabin in Lake Ariel. Gotta love Kundlahs (sp) ribs!

We are visiting the AC in Sept for the first time, I can't wait.

Thanks Kat! I'm going to check out yoyr sites right now!

Kat your sites are wonderful!! Love em!

I have a question for all of you...have any of you used a camera without a flash to get pics at AC? I really wanted to take pics but I thought it might be rude. I took some in the lobby, but not the library.

Also how are the actors about posing for pics? I felt kinda like I would be interrupting them.

I have taken flash pictures before and there didn't seem to be a problem. And yes, they are more than willing to pose for picture so go for it!

harleyquinn,

They had a deal the last few trips we took called Carpe PM, as opposed to Carpe Diem I guess. It works like this: pay your way into PI for the regular fare and for an additional $5 you get the next five nights free. We do this and end up coming home with Plusses left over from a 7 Day Hopper +. So for 28 bucks or so you get 6 PI admissions without using a Plus. Great deal.

OOohh! That's cool Bill. Thanks!

I think I'll at least get a AP for myself (there's a small chance we'll go twice within the year). Plus I think the room-only rates and all the other perks will be worth it for us.

You can take flash pictures pretty much anywhere at the AC and CMs are great about having pics taken. And when you get one, send it to me so I can put it on my site! (oh boy, do I need to finish my update)

Nala...are you offering up a cover design for me. :)

Ah...to be sipping on a Kungaloosh right now....

My parents took me to the AC the first year it opened and I've been visiting the Club every time I vacation in WDW since. I'm now 34 yrs old and have introduced my DH and PIL and BIL to the Club. I and my DH now are true addicts. We just love it.

I am sure Maistre Graicey (sp?) is a true fan since he has KUNGALOOSH in his signature. I noticed it right away when I was only lurking and not a member of the Dis yet. You might want to get in touch w/ him as I am sure he has many wonderful stories to tell. You can usually find him on the DVC boards.

KUNGALOOSH!!!

I just searched page by page all the way back to page 16 to find this thread!! I read it before we left, and it made me want to try AC and I am so glad I did!!! It was easily the best part of our vacation, and I can't wait to go back. My husband got pulled on stage and had to do the exact same thing as KathyMC's husband did, including the bump. It was so funny and I really regretted not having the video camera. We stayed until closing (had to see the Hoopla!) and nearly laughed ourselves sick. I have looked up the Kungaloosh recipe on another website, and my husband and I are planning on making them this weekend. However, I know it just won't be the same! Put me down as an official AC addict!
