Hi Everyone!!! Yes it is me Doreen's sister!!! I hope everyone had a great holiday and I can't believe it is already 2005. I think the countdown is 84 Week! :jumping4:

The weather is warm down here, yesterday 70, it seems like FL weather.

I hope everyone who has been under the weather is feeling better. I myself am having surgery on my knee on Jan 20th, Get this I was supposed to have it on the 19th but the surgeon is in the hospital!!! He had the same surgery I am having last week(maybe I shoulld reconsider, but he is the best as he is the official orthopedic MD for the US Olympic team!! Doreen is coming down here on the 18th so we get one day to R&R before the main event. I told her we should just go on the Wonder and skip the surgery!!! I don't think we could get away with it especially with our family!! I was also told that I would be out of work for at least three weeks!! I don't have to worry now because I lost my job on Tuesday due to downsizing. The company is still covering my insurance until after my surgery and following therapy. They will eventually be closing.

I am really not upset about losing my job!! Now is my chance to go and work for Disney!!! )my dream job!!! I do plan on taking a cruise on the WONDER sometime in May before getting back on the job search road.

That doesn't sound too bad now, does it...? LOL

We got a lot of snow and ice here yesterday; my DSs had their first snow day of the school year.

My father (he lives in NJ) is in the hospital. Nothing serious, I *think*. Long story short, he went to the VA hospital to have the skin graft on his hand checked out, he has only 1 lung, and when they heard the way he was breathing, they admitted him. Both his missing lung and skin graft holding his thumb onto his hand are results of his time in the Marines, WW II. He has excellent private insurance, so we're not sure why he wanted to go to a VA hospital. In the BRONX, no less

I have pleurisy (again). Some of you may remember when I had it a couple of weeks before our cruise.

Karen, i told Jaclyn about us forgetting about your surgery and doing a cruise.. and she said "MOM YOU WOULD NEVER DO THAT WITH OUT US".. now does that sound like a challenge???

I can tell you this much, Captain Thord reads the DISboards to keep abreast of everyone's comments, feelings and concerns about DCL.

Happy Belated New Year All !!! o.k I know I have been one of those lurking to and now you have my attention. lol Chuck sometimes been working from home and we had to share the internet. Don't ask me why.......

I would like to link reservations to dinner and brunch. We have late seating. I was going to surprise Chuck and do the Romantic Escape at sea package. I haven't booked it yet because I figure the prices for 2006 aren't even out yet.

How would that tie in with the plans???? I would like to take advantage of trying to request my dining rotation and I would be able to make the brunch reservations right? First time doing this package for me.

I am been looking like mad for a job and have been so wrapped up in that that I've been neglecting my Dis friends and I'm really sorry for that. Things kinda stink at the moment and it's making me really sad and I don't want to bring everybody down. I need to catch up and post more and I'll do that really soon, but for right now I just have to look for a job. Happy New Year everyone and I be back soon!

Same here Lisa !!! I can never watch that show without balling my eyes out. Whenever I need to get the kids room cleaned in a hurry I pretend to be TY and yell in a pretend bull horn o.k people 1 hour before company coming over get those rooms cleaned. lol
