OG Polynesian Villas Questions

I am finally returning to WDW in May 2026 after 4 years of a hiatus due to cruising. So a couple of refresher questions for you Poly pro’s;

1. I am booked in the OG deluxe studio resort view. I requested the Tokelau building. Does this building have washer and dryers ? Is there a preferred floor to ask for? What are the standard views?

2. I put in a waitlist for the deluxe studio resort view at the Poly Tower. How successful have waitlists been lately?

3. How have the OG restaurants been lately?

This will be the second leg of our two week trip with the grand kids. Just us two to relax.

I can only answer # 3. We were there a few weeks ago. Captain Cooks and Kona Cafe had standard (nothing we'd repeat) food and less than average service. I ate at the bar at Tambu lounge and had excellent service from the bartender. I love the resort but will have as many meals as possible somewhere else next time that we stay there

I always request Tokelau third floor. More quiet. I’ve stayed there 3 times I think and got it every time. DVC laundry is in the Moorea building. It’s always crowded. One time I wanted to just do 1 load, I went to the paid laundry by the bus stop, no one there.

I stayed in a Duo Studio in April. The new tower is beautiful but I wasn’t crazy about the distance to the bus stop and main building (I have bad knees). I have a reservation for February in a regular studio.

Haven’t stayed at the Poly in awhile, so can’t help there, but we did stroll over from the VGF & we really liked the new restaurant at the tower - Wailua https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/polynesian-resort/wailulu-bar-grill/.
