Nope, nothing yet on the August 2008 dates and rates.

Anyone else having problems getting e-mail notifications that a thread has been posted too? I know the DIS got a new server the other night, and ever since I've been having trouble receiving e-mail notifications from threads I have posted too.

I thought this was just me as I haven't gotten an email notification in days.

Ed - glad to hear you are getting mobile. I love Christmas time in NYC. Love to see The Nutcracker. One thing that always amazes me is the size of the crowds on the sidewalks in midtown Manhattan. Unbelievable. I've been in midtown around 10pm on a freezing Saturday night and still the streets were absolutely mobbed.

Christmas shopping is finished but I have yet to wrap anything and I haven't even addressed Christmas cards, yet.

We're off to Smuggler's Notch resort on the 26th to go skiing. I honestly couldn't remember which day we are leaving the resort so I had to call the reservations people and ask. The lady said most people can't remember which day they are arriving. I thought that was funny.

That would really screw up your countdown timer if you can't remember your arrival date.

I posted on the tech board and it seems that quite a few other people are having problems receiving e-mail notifications since the new server was added the other day. :confused3

Oh well, I guess I'll keep checking my UserCP button when I check in until the e-mails start working again.

I finally got the rest of our Christmas cards out in the mail this morning. We have my side of the family Christmas Party this evening at my brother Chuck's house. :teeth:

Have a nice weekend everyone!!! :wave2:

Ho Ho Ho

Time to go back to work :cool1:

Well I went back to work yesterday, no real problems other than when I got home I was real tired. Six weeks of sitting on your butt at home and then going to work takes a little out of you :rotfl2: The good news , I still get to take my planned time off next week, as the request was in the system month's ago.

Well, I had to work 1/2 day on Monday, and all day on Tuesday, but I took today off to take my mom for a cataract surgery. She is doing fine and cannot believe how smooth it all went. My office is closed on 22 and 25, and because the 22nd is my b-day, I have to take off tomorrow, boo hoo :cool1: And then I took one of my 3 Religious Holidays, any day of the year, with a 48 hr notice cannot be refused. So that is my winter vacation. But it was 49 degrees here today in Central New York, and I am enjoying it. Take care and talk soon.

Happy Holidays!!!

Angelina woke up at 5am this morning and was quite pleased with what she found under the tree, as were mom and dad, now it's time for me to start fixing our Christmas morning breakfast!!!

Nice graphics Andy.

I was just sitting here thinking back how time flies.
Jan makes it two years since I first booked the Aug 2006 cruise.

Over that time the new friends I've made, the multilple trips to WDW,
The pre cruise meet in Aug 2005 at the trails end cafe

The birthday trip to WDW before the cruise, and the Birthday wishes cruise I shared with Princeness Crazy and her family and the Walsh Clan.

The pre cruise dinner at Grills.

Our First Cruise on the Magic, a 7 day double dip.

My First Parasail at CC and the submarine tour in Cozemel.

All I can add to this, I cant wait for the 2008 cruise,

Now if only Disney would hurry up with the dates and places for summer 2008 so the planing can begin.

Hazel, Angelina and I just arrived home from going to see "The Pursuit of Happyness" with Will Smith, and his real life son, as this was one of Angelina's Christmas gifts from Hazel and I.

I must say, I don't think there was a dry eye in the theatre from the 50 or so people who were there when we left. The movie, based on a real life person Chris Gardner, was heart wrenching. I saw the real life Chris Gardner on a morning news show several months ago, and I was eager to see this movie myself. I'm just glad that Hazel had some extra tissues in her pocketbook.

We might see "Dreamgirls" later this week, since I'm off, and we really don't have much planned to do.

Bye for Now.

Happy in between the holiday wishes to all!!! I hope everyone had an enjoyable Christmas. I have to report the gift that Ron gave me that nobody else will understand except other Dis friends. He was so excited about it, which made me nervous. I wanted a new hard shell suitcase to replace an aging one. I usually take one for breakables. He gave me a LIME Dis green suitcase. I laughed so hard. It is terrific. I will be able to easily pick it out off the luggage belt. Inside was a trip on the Wonder next year. We were going to take a year off from Disney, and I wanted to take the kids to the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas. Yet I didn't want to go for days, so a one day side trip works. And a trip on the Wonder will make it possible. If we only had snow on Christmas it would have been an extremely perfect day.

I am enjoying the break from teaching and hanging out with the kids and my best friend's family from FL. We've been friends since we were 8 years old. We've shared Christmas dinners since the 7th grade. Lots of memories here.

Now it's back to car researching. I read about everyone's issuses back in Nov. but was too caught up in my own car drama to add to the thread. I've had a mini van for 17 years. Not sure if there is one more van in my life or not? My current mini van is only 8.5 years old with 78,000 miles. The way it is acting, it is time to move forward or pay huge repair bills. I already know my mechanic all too well. I am not good at decisions. It is between the Honda Pilot and Odyssey and the Toyota Sienna. :confused3 I might as well have 50 different ones to pick from. I just can't make up my mind. I do know I'm not ready to go to a small car like the Honda CRV. These 3 models are so close. Where's the pixie dust when you need it?:dance3:

Okay back to reading and the kids. Maybe we'll go take in a train garden or two?

Happy '07 to all. Be safe.

Shirley

Congratulations on the upcoming trip.
What a wonderful gift and suitcase.
