Greetings from Williamsburg, VA  I was up early so I just had to check the boards :surfweb:

All I can say is that my "CRUISE EXCHANGE" package was mailed yesterday!!! :woohoo: I also wrote a note to my family so they would know who I am. :cool1:

Have a great day today!!!

Good morning everyone! :sunny:

We got back from Disney World last night. We had a wonderful time. :goodvibes I hope all is well with all of you :grouphug:

Today is DS18's last day of high school! :teacher: He goes in this morning for senior breakfast, and dismissal, and then his graduation is 2 weeks from today. I brought him back the "Class of 2006" graduation Mickey ears with his name embroidered on the back, and also "Class of 2006" Mickey beanie, and a Jedi Mickey beanie. He left the ears sitting on the couch but took the 2 Mickey beanies to put in his room. I told him that if he decided he didn't have any place to put the beanies that they'd have a good home on *my* desk, along with my other Disney beanies :teeth:

Terry...WELCOME BACK. I can remember you saying that your son was going to be a senior etc, etc and now it is all here Damn, how fast that went.
May & June are crazy months with kids in school. Between concerts, finals and all the other year end activities. This Friday my kids are in a concert (Not a school concert, but from where they take their lessons) that will be televised on cable. One DD plays the drums, the other the guitar.

Time to start my day, hope everyone has a great one
Joanna

PS Andrew, I would love to live in the UK, my brother and his family live in Leeds and we go over regularly, it is a beautiful part of the country. Was in Legoland recently and it was brilliant.. flew to Heathrow and hired a car, saw Windsor Castle in the distance but will definitely do a tourist day in London soon! :sunny:

Yes london is great been to leeds liked it should go again and I would wish to go to Dublin sometime, one of my managers came from out there.

I lived in Dublin for 6 years but met and married a man from Cork, so I've ended up here! :thumbsup2 Cork is a nice enough city, wouldn't have the same buzz as Dublin but Cobh (pronounced Cove), the town I live in is nice, and we only live 30 minutes from the airport.

Dublin has a bigger selection of everything (as it's the capital!) but down south we are very near some of the most beautiful countryside (very like the Yorkshire Dales).

FYI...

I booked Palo and Flounders today; all went well. The reservation system was working better than in the past.

In case you are booking more than two for Palo you may want to note that the default is a party of 1-2. You have to select 3-4 in the party size dropdown box and click Update to get more than two people before choosing a time.

When booking the Palo brunch I wasn't paying attention so the reservation defaulted to 1-2. Since I couldn't edit the reservation I had to delete it and start over which wasn't a problem, but I was concerned. Last year when booking excursions once I booked the excursion I wasn't able to delete it online which wasn't the case this time.

I was a little surprised that by choosing a party of 3-4 limited me to the 10:30 am or 11:00 am seating. When I mistakenly chose a party of 1-2 I could also select an 11:30 am seating which is what I wanted. I can't imagine why there are no tables for four at 11:30 am this early in the reservation process.

We are still not sure about excursions since there really isn't much you can do with a 2 year old and we are not leaving her on the ship so I may have to go outside of DCL for an excursion.

I know some of us on this thread booked this cruise back in Sept of '04. Twenty months ago 08/19/2006 seemed like an eternity away, but after paying of the balance and booking reservations online this cruise is finally becoming exactly what we all want...a reality!!

Good luck booking Sunday

Hi All,

Since I know some of you are planning a trip to WDW before the cruise and we are too.

On Aug 15th a certain tiggerFan to remain nameless is having a bday :bday: that day.
As part of the celebration party: we have just booked a Wishes Fireworks cruise.

Since its only the 3 of us, we have room for up to 7 more people.(Max 10).

I decided to see if any of our cruisemates might like to join us.

Send me a pm and I will let you know the details. Oh, I have reserved one of the prem boats that will have the sound piped in. and it will be decorated with balloons too.

Hello Everyone!!!! :sunny:

Just wanted to introduce ourselves and join in the excitement. We have been lurking here for a while not knowing if this would happen or not but booked our trip insurance today and our final payment will be taken care of tomorrow.

CT Tiggerfan---I read your post and sent you a pm. We have a birthday as well and will be in WDW at that time.

There are 3 of us joining you all on the cruise Me, hubby and our "Birthday DD turning age 9!! This is a big celebration for her birthday and she has no idea yet----she will probably be shocked because we have told her that we wouldn't get to go back to WDW or a cruise for a long long time. Her grandparents will be coming along on the cruise and have basically given this trip to all of us as a surprise so therefore we will be going back very unexpectedly but excited and thankful to them. My parents will have a connectiing cabin with ours and they are 79 and 76. Looking forward to our trip and meeting alot of people!!! :cloud9: Thanks for this thread!!

Welcome aboard PRINCESS CRAZY... glad you decided to write and not just lurk...

ED... I am jealous.. We were not sure what to do so we just got airfare for the day before(18) and the day we leave.. I wish I knew ... :smooth:

My wonderful sister also reminded me why I can not sail next yr with my Work related trip to ORLANDO.. and of course GRADUATION in JUNE..  .. I almost forgot about that one... She sure knows how to bring me down...

I am happy to say all my "GIFTS" for my family are all ready to be mailed out tomorrow.. I got them all in the mail today and I hope my family and FRIENDS enjoy them as much as I enjoyed searching for the "RIGHT ITEMS"...,, talk about the last minute...

Welcome aboard PRINCESS CRAZY :wave2:

I see both our dd will be nine this cruise
There are a couple of other princess on this cruise that will be 8 or 9. I bet they all become fast friends on board.

Thanks for the pm
I will get back to you soon

ed

:welcome: Welcome Princess Crazy!!! Fun to have you aboard! I have DS twins age 9. Since we booked this almost 2 years out, I couldn't keep it a surprise! :rolleyes1

Ed, Ed, Ed. sigh. That would be WONDERFUL. I am THE BIGGEST Disney Fireworks Fan! And the 13th is a certain Pooh fan's birthday. pooh: Hmmmm....
Alas, one of the boys has baseball camp all that week, but I'll be wishing you clear skies and big booms on your "mini cruise" ! pixiedust: party:

Moira, do you speak Gaelic? My grandparents didn't as it was against the law :confused3 when they were growing up. But now it seems to have made a huge resurgance! I'm a huge fan of Celtic music, and Mary Black (while not exactly Celtic music per se) is my favorite singer. :shamrock: Are you familiar with her music?

Terry, Welcome Back! Andy, enjoy your cruise, hope you are feeling better! :wave2:

Princess Crazy: Welcome Aboard ! Glad you can join us. :thumbsup2

Ed: Fireworks sounds nice, what a great way to celebrate your b-day. We already bought our tickets and can't get in any earlier then the 18th. :(

Hi everyone,

Thanks for all your PM's and emails. :thumbsup2 My inbox was full and I couldn't receive any more PM's so if you sent me one and I didn't respond yet, please send me another one. I emptied some of the messages and now I have some room.

Welcome to our new DIS family cruisers.

I come back from my overnight stay on the Freedom of the Seas. The ship was awesome. If you've been on any of the RCCL Voyager class ships, this ship is bigger; offers the same things as the other ships but also has the wave/surfing pool at the back of the ship; 2 whirlpools that are over the edge of the deck overlooking the water; a boxing ring and punching bags. The exercise room is huge. This ship also has Ben & Jerry's; Johnny Rockets; Seattle's Best Coffee; lots of computers. I think DCL's standard rooms are as large if not larger than RCCL's oceanview and balcony rooms. Even though I was away one night, it's always nice to come back home to your family. I'm looking forward to our cruise in August. :yay:

To everyone, thanks and sorry again that I didn't respond to all the PM because I didn't receive them.

Hello Everyone!!!! :sunny:

Welcome Aboard Princess Crazy! :welcome: Delighted to have more people to talk with!

We are around too that evening so I have sent a pm to Ed too. My DD is nearly 7 (she prefers this to just being 6!) and know that she and her DD, along with her mom would love it! (ie the three of us!)

Ed, thanks for the PM, and for the chance to take part! :thumbsup2

Jen, are your grandparents Irish? I do speak a little but to be honest not enough to hold down a long conversation....Sad to say, my french is better :guilty:
The same thing happened to my own father, they didn't do Irish history or teach Irish at the time, so there is a generation missing out and I think that's where the lack of enthusiasm for Irish came from!

Love Mary Black and her sister Frances! :thumbsup2 Have you heard of The Corrs. They are brill! PM me your address and I'll send you on a CD, if you like Mary Black, then you'll love these! :yay:

Bev, the ship sounds fantastic! My favourite ice cream of all time is Ben & Jerry's Minter Wonderland! Yum :)

Have a nice day everyone!

Hi Guys,

It's Thursday morning and we are zipping on our way to Castaway Cay. Just wanted to stop by and say hi. I've got to get busy writing my report for yesterday, I usually write it each night be retiring for the night, but Hazel and I stayed out a little later than usual last evening and by the time we got back to our cabin around midnight, I went straight to bed. I'm starting to feel a bit better, so Hazel and I went to the Rockin Bar D last night to see a world champion juggler perform.

OK, I've got to get busy on my report, so I'm signing off for now. :wave2:

Hello Everyone.. just to let you know. Marty's mom passed away this morning at 4am or so. He is at his DADS now so I do not know any other details. As some of you know she was dx with CA this past JULY after having exploratory surgery for stomach pain and it kept spreading. Please keep him in thoughts as MARTY is not one to show emotions and I feel it may be very difficult for him..
Thank you all so much.
