I know you can order Disney gift cards online (to be shipped within the USA) but I don't know about Disney Dollars.

I tried to purchase Disney Dollars at the Disney Store in Hartford, CT before we left for our 15-19 Dec stay at VWL. They were sold out and said they did not expect any more until January.

We did purchase Disney Dollars at Downtown Disney during our visit. No one said anything about them not being available any longer. I expect to purchase more from the Disney Store, or when we go to WDW Dec 2009.

In my opinion it is alot more fun to give Disney Dollars and more educational also, than to give a gift card. I like the Grand Kids having to make decisions on what to purchase and how many dollars they have left. Just my opinion.

We got them for our kids to use in WDW in June...in fact the CM there said that they were BETTER than the gift cards because it was easier to keep track of how much you used. Plus..my kids got a huge kick out of paying with their money. I hope they don't discontinue them...that'd be a shame.
