What do you order at California Grill? We are going here for our 15th anniversary dinner later this month. Looking for suggestions on what is good :goodvibes

we were there about a year and a half ago and had a great, great meal there

We love the sushi - especially the Spicy Kazan Roll. They had a special appetizer that day - lobster rissoto - which to this day is one of the top 5 things we have ever had.

For my entrée I had the Grilled Pork Tenderloin - Served with goat cheese polenta and it was really great.

I agree with the above post the Spicey Kazan roll is delish. I had the halibut which was very good and my DH had the filet. The filet you could cut with a butter knife it was so juicy and tender.

It might sound boring, but the chicken entree is always really good at California Grill. I also enjoy the seafood there - don't know if it's still on the menu, but there was a delicious snapper dish with fig risotto. I don't think you can go wrong - just order what sounds good to you!

For sushi, one of my favorite dishes is the Tuna 3 Ways. The Spicy Kazan roll is also delicious, but I prefer the tuna.

My husband and I had our wedding reception in the Napa Room, one of the private rooms at the CG. I STILL cannot stop raving about the Sonoma Goat Cheese Ravioli. It was by far one of the best things I've ever eaten!

we love the daily flatbreads, the sushi (esp the triple tuna) and always end with a cheese platter for dessert. Also, the lobster risottos is great, filet and whatever they suggest as a seasonal special

I've never had a meat entree here that impressed me. Love the sushi. If we go to CG now, that's usually all we order.

Happy Anniversary!

The menu changes often. They always have pork tenderloin and the sushi plates, we love both. Also, they do great fish dishes with great sauces.

My recommendation: get what sounds like something you'd like. They make some awesome stuff. I am sure you will find the perfect dish for you.

the filet is outstanding, as is the cheese plate!

The rock shrimp salad is fantastic and I love the pork with polenta

The menu is seasonal, so I'd be remiss to recommend anything specific, but I can say that a quick dinner of flat bread and sushi definitely won't leave you disappointed. They do both of them very well, regardless of seasonal ingredients.

I'd also recommend that, if at all possible, you try to get a table in the lounge by the windows and take your dinner in there. It's really comfortable and the views of the park are excellent.

If you like sushi.. YOu have got to try the Spicy Kazan! Last yr we just got two sushi rolls, two cocktails and two desserts and it was so amazing!

This yr we are going for the full meal and taking our two teens.. I cant wait! I think Im getting the filet but I know we are getting the Spicy Kazan as well!

I have never had a bad flatbread at CG, and we almost order one. I am a big fan of the pork tenderloin w/goat cheese polenta. The polenta is to die for. CG generally prepares fish quite well.

Thats what i had as my appetizer and it was AMAZING. I also had the tenderloin and it was fantastic.

Honestly, I've eaten there a bunch of times and have never had an entree that wasn't good, or that I wouldn't order again.

The filet mignon, pork tenderloin, spicy kazan roll are all excellent.

Thank you everyone! I appreciate you taking the time to respond. All of your reviews will make our choosing a little easier.

DW likes the filet... I like seafood. I really enjoyed the Pacific Monchong fish pictured below. And I can vouch for the spicy kazan roll too!

We're planning to go to California Grill later this month too. Does anyone know how it works with the Dining Plan? I know it is 2TS credits, but is an appetizer included?

Appetizers are included with the deluxe dining plan. The regular dining plan table services is still just entree, dessert, non-alcholic drink. The only exception I've seen with appetizers is the fantasmic dinner packages include appetizers (Brown Derby and Mama Melrose) even if not on the deluxe dining plan.
