Oh for sure. Every hotel will take requests. Doesn't mean you'll always get what you want, though.

You might have to spring a bit more for certain choices. For example, our original room overlooked the parking lot and highway. I called the front desk to request a pool view. Cost $15 more/ night. I agreed and they moved our packed stuff while we were in the parks.

I tried to use the chat feature through the Loews website but was told that the Universal hotels are not part of the chat feature.
