Bypass from I-4 to Disney Springs open

The first direct ramp from I-4 to DS has opened.

It splits off from the westbound I-4 Epcot exit (coming from Orlando or I-Drive), feeding directly into the Orange Garage. It also allows access to eastbound Buena Vista Dr. (towards Hotel Plaza Blvd.) The ramp bypasses all the congestion in the area of SR-535 & Hotel Plaza Blvd. near Crossroads, and the construction on BVD.

It will mainly benefit locals heading to DS from Orlando, but will also help off-site visitors driving to DS from the I-Drive area. Hopefully it will help to relieve some of the BVD congestion.

That's great; I was wondering if it was on schedule.

(BTW, a funny observation: There is a point in that video, at the stoplight, when it looks for all the world like the car is surrounded by snow banks, though it is really new white concrete. The white roof of Cirque across the way adds to the effect.)
