BWV Studio with Daybed?

Not sure where to post this. I'm renting points for a stay very soon and not sure I'll be able to reach the DVC member I rented from so here goes...
I have a reservation for a BWV studio - standard view.
Can I call and request one of the sudio's with a daybed? Do they have studio's with a daybed?

I think that the Studio Plus units are all Preferred View rooms. They are dedicated studios with no connecting door to another room. If you have a standard view room, I don't think the request will do any good. Otherwise, you can certainly try to make the request.

Actually, there are some standard view studio pluses at BWV. We stayed in two different ones, one in March and one in June last year. Our most recent stay was in a standard view with the connecting door to the 1 BR unit next door. We like having the studio plus, even with just two of us. My DW uses it to collect her shopping bags .

[Side note: amazing to find that there's actually something about DVC that Doc doesn't have at his fingertips. I'll write it off to the fact he owns at OKW while we own and have always stayed at BWV.]

While you might be able to request a Studio Plus, you will not be guaranteed it. The daybed in the SP is very small, about like an upholstered luggage stand or chair. Less than crib sized. Very uncomfortable. My son was 5 when we got a SP, and he did not like the daybed. Actually to advertise it as a daybed is very misleading.

Thanks for the correction! I learn a lot on this board!! I've stayed at BWV twice- once in a lock-off 2BR and once in a Studio Plus. Both were great stays, but I didn't realize there were Plus studios in standard view.

Someone may correct me if I am wrong here, but I thought all the studios at BWV had a queen bed and a fold out sofa. We are owners at BWV and have always stayed in a 2 bedroom unit (perferred view) which is a one bedroom connecting with a studio. Each time the studio had a queen and fold out sofa. The standard view may be different, but the member guidebook only shows one floorplan which is the one I previously discussed. Again I may be incorrect because we have never stayed in a standard view studio.

There are some dedicated studios that have an extra day bed where the connecting door would be. They are called "studio plus".

yes - I found this daybed to be smaller than the one at the Polyn (twin size) and I though they would be the same size. BWV was shorter?

I was just looking at a friend's pictures from 2 weekends ago. They had a standard studio with a daybed. The daybed is between the chest of drawers and the kitchenette. It is small.

I slept in a Polynesian daybed - it's about twin sized or equal. I'm 5'11".

My son (5 at the time) found the BWV daybed small. It's like an upholstered luggage stand.

MY DD is 52" tall. I had read that the BWV daybed is 5' (60") which would be small. However, when I asked her whether she'd rather sleep on a short small bed or the air mattress on the floor, she opted for the bed. She said she curls up anyway so she doesn't need that much length. LOL! I did tell her no guarantees, but that I would ask. Thanks for all your responses.
