I do not own DVC but have rented points in the past and it’s been a great value and experience. Is it difficult to get BWV studio standard view? Trying to get the best location with two little ones for the least points.

Very. Will add...especially during F&W and F&G and the Thanksgiving and Xmas holidays. As an owner I have been unsuccessful about 40% of the time and I go online 1st thing of 11 month window.

Added more to my post above.

A lot of owners take extra steps in order to secure one of those studios. They are extremely difficult for renters to book, especially if you are trying to go thru an agency.

Thank you ! I thought so. We want to go early October of 2022 which is during F&W.

I have someone I rent points from but he is doubtful he can get it. Was wondering if I should try an agency but you answered that.

Umm...yeah. Imagine the Cornucopia scene from the Hunger Games. That's what it's like trying to book a BWV std view studio during F&W.

May I suggest OKW? It might be even fewer points depending on your dates and your chances of success are greatly improved.

I have never stayed at OKW, but I am traveling with my sister-in-law and my 6 year-old niece and 2 year-old nephew. I was hoping to at least be close to MK or EPCOT. I was thinking of a AKV, as I love that resort and it’s less points, but we are not doing AK this trip as we are taking 2 full days for MK.

How hard is a studio preferred view at BWV? Or a studio at BCV? I have never had a hard time renting points where I wanted to stay before but now it seems so much harder.

A BWV pool/garden view would be easier than a studio at BCV. I'd say that a boardwalk view studio would be nearly as impossible as the std view.. The numbers alone favor the p/g view, but also because renters and owners alike love SAB, I wouldn't get my hopes up for BCV.

It cannot be over-emphasized that you're looking at two of the most popular resorts for F&W. I would put the chances of a BCV studio rental at slim. A BWV p/g view would not be impossible but not exactly a slam dunk, either.

Thank you for all your insight . Maybe I should try WLV. Any advice? BRV or CC?

CCV has a problem with studio availability all year-round. I wouldn't get my hopes too high for it.

BLV? Do you mean BRV or BLT? BRV is at Wilderness Lodge. BLT is at the Contemporary Resort.

BRV is getting a full refurb soon. The rooms should still be relatively fresh next October. BLT, OTOH, has the absolutely smallest studios in all of DVC with the exception of the AKV value studios. While the square footage makes them look like they are comparable to BCV and BWV in size, a good portion of that space is taken up by the kitchenette. You don't stand much of a chance of getting one of their std view studios but the lake view studios tend to be available for a while.

As an owner, I tried to grab it at 7 mo and failed. I finally got it, but it took several months of stalking and waitlists to get 4 consecutive days of it.

Bang for buck is going to be AKV for easy to get, value and experience. The reason I say that is because you can grab a AKV studio less than 7 months out, which means you can rent points for cheaper. You could end up with a Savanna view studio under 7 months for less than the standard price of BWV at 11 month out.

Oops! I meant BRV. I have stayed at the WL years ago in the hotel and loved it. What is OTOH?

Steering this off topic but relevant to your post. Do we know BRV is still getting the refurb ”soon”? The dates that all appeared to be blocked off from Feb - May (?) suddenly all have availability.

I have stayed at AKV twice. Once in Jambo and once in Kidani I much prefer Jambo. The hallways in Kidani seem to stretch for miles and no quick serve food or store.
I love AKV but sadly we only will have 4 days in the parks and since taking 2 days at MK we won’t be going to AK. So I think it is too far from the other parks. But I need to weigh price vs convenience. Of course I can save money but it’s not as convenient. Not sure what to do LOL
