BWV Renovations

Any news on how the renovations are progressing. We have reservations for (2) One Bedroom standard view in mid-november. We have requested first floor (near the front of resort) - Anyone know if this area has been renovated yet?

I believe that side has already been renovated. They were last working on the BWV side. We have that a BWV reserved in mid November. I would like to know how that side is looking.

We stayed in the villas the 1st week of oct.. We stayed in room 1126 it had not been renovated yet. It was near the community hall and the secondary pool. Hope this helps.

We were there Oct 24-27. There was scaffolding up along the village green area and around the front to approx 1/3 of the general store. We were in 2037, renovated, just above the Threads and Thimble sign. Probably 3 rooms past the scaffolding. I think we were the first ones in that room. Fantastic balcony and people watching. The area just to the left of the walk way by the clown pool was also under renovation (prefered view), but none of it bothered us at all.

We had room 1095 in September - pool view near community hall and it was completely renovated. Really nice!

Hoping those standard view rooms are completed before our arrival in mid-november.

We were in 5085 (dedicated studio) last week. It had been renovated but did not have a flat screen TV and no DVD player. Some folks have said some studios have DVD player, but I didn't think so.

I wanted to use the door which exits across from the bus stop. Since the 5th floor ended with our room, we took the stairs down to 4 to cut across. I opened the door on 4 and there was a guy there holding a matress. The hallway appeared to be a rehab mess! We went down to 3 and cut across there.

During the day we heard some hammering from the rehabs, but it didn't bother us.

Hopefully everything will be done by next summer when we will be doing a 10 night multi-room family visit.

We were there 10/13 thru 10/27 and were in standard by valet and sad to sa they started working on renovations in the room above us and it was very noisy so they must be moving to that wing. We were not very happy...before we left we had 3 days of very very loud noise fro 9 to 4. Where there was scaffoldin I think the rooms were done and they are painting the out side and doing roofing.

The first and second floor were not renovated on that side. We were there last week (Oct. 17-24) and we were in room 2137 (standard view facing the pond and valet parking lot) and neither floor was renovated. While hanging at the pool they were rolling furniture out (every day), but appeared to be working on the preferred side of the resort. It was the fourth floor looking down on the quiet pool. You could see the activity from the pool. I was going to walk up to the third and fourth floor to see what might be going on up there, but never made it. It would've been nice to get a renovated room, especially since I got none of my room requests -- but I'm use to that. We'll be back at the BWV in Dec, Jan, and April, so hopefully I'll snag a new room on one of those trips.

We were in a two bedroom on the fifth floor with a Boardwalk view the week of the 17th, and the renovations around us (we were out near the end of the hallway, in the Crest of the Wave rooms) were completely done. We passed rooms close to the elevators that had a strong paint smell coming from them on multiple days, so clearly there was work happening somewhere on the same floor. (Not sure if it was interior or exterior, but you could really smell it in the hallways on a couple of days.)

Our room was completely renovated, and it did have the new flat screens. When we were out on the balconies, we didn't notice any smell or construction out at our end. It was a nice compensation for the walk. The rooms really looked great, and we couldn't have been happier.

We were in a renovated studio a couple of weeks ago. No pics of it BUT...they were finishing up with a GV and allowed us to take a peek. *note the patio chairs are not permanent*

We're in a BW grand villa starting 11/28. Do you know if all of the grand villas have been renovated? Was the grand villa you looked at a one story or two story?

The one pictured is a one story. We also viewed a two story GV that was completed. These were both on the 5th floor.
