From the report it look sounds nice. Just wish they would replace the washer and dryer. The dryer is awful.

According to the dvc article, flat screens and dvd players are going in. Will this include studios?
Do other resorts have dvd players in studios?

I am so excited! The exterior will be done by my trip, which is most important to me & they will have already been two months into refurbishing the rooms from the official start date, so that doesn't even include what the rooms they already started on.

I don't have to get a refurbished room, but I think I have a great chance of getting one, since we're driving in from my parents house which is 45 minutes away... we're gonna check in at 7am.

Either way I'm happy.

I have a bw view booked, so I'll just have to take my chances. I'd rater an old bw view room than a refurbished standard, since this will be my first time actually getting bw view. Thank you though. Any suggestions on what to ask for at checkin for the best bw view room? I was thinking of asking for somewhere over the general store??

When I have boardwalk view, I usually request top floor, although most of the time end up with 3 or 4. The one time I was on the second floor, it was noisy. My biggest fear is getting one of those rooms right on the boardwalk on the first floor, where the sales offices used to be. Alot of the rooms over the store are grand villas.

I was wondering where the GV's were. I haven't gotten anything past 2nd floor yet for BW view.

As a new DVC member, I'm thrilled to see that they are keeping up with refurbs. A silent fear was that they would just let the units get old and shabby (and just keep up the outside for appearances).

Then they redo the rooms, do you think they'll retore them to original design or take some artistic license?

We are in a GV in January. First time in one so I hope the refurb is done by then. We are requesting a single story GV on an upper floor. Anyone know how many GVs there are and what is a good area/floor to request?

We have 3 P/G view villas booked for Thanksgiving wk to celebrate our 45th Anniversay with family...was hoping most of the refurb would be done but will manage no matter...does anyone know if that area (P/G) is done, since they are working on the SV villas now?

Interested to hear what exterior construction there is around the quiet pool and main pool areas. We requested a ground floor room facing the quiet pool, we are there 2 weeks, would kinda suck to have power saws running on roof replacement all that time.

Single story, there are two on floors 3 & 4 and one on floor 5. Two story, there are two on floor 5.
