Buzz Lightyear?

We will be traveling with my grandson just under two. My question is do you think we should use one of the first FP+ as Buzz Lightyear, so he could ride with his dad or let the grown ups and bigger kids go for the big kid rides and try for Buzz after the first 3 FP+ are used? My young grandson is already a big fan of mickey, monsters inc and toy story. I figure Buzz and Peterpan will be the longest wait time for bigger and little kids to do together.

If Buzz is a major "must-do," make it one of the first 3 FP+.

Follow up, meeting Buzz is our #1 priority on this trip. I have checked MDE daily to see when he is appearing in Tomorrowland and lately he has only been listed about once per week. While I know we can guarantee a meet at DHS, I'd love to have my DS meet him outside his own Buzz themed ride. Anyone know if he appears randomly still appears daily and they don't list it on MDE because there isn't a set time for him to be there or are they phasing Buzz meets out of MK? I know Woody and Jessie have been listed every single day I've checked the past month.

I can't speak to "every day", but he was there every day that we were in the MK over a week-long stay in April. ???
