You can still buy Disney gift cards at the Target website using Target gift cards, and as long as your account is tied to your RED card, you get 5 percent off. There are all sorts of ways to get target gift cards and save money, and while the one on the Disney gift card thread is a bit complicated (I am still learning how to use it!), I did save about 20% last year on our
Disneyland vacation by using gift cards, and that was because I only started about 5 months in advance.
If your supermarket sells gas and gift cards, you can buy your Disney gift cards (or target) there, and save money at the gas pump. One of my co-workers waits until they are have points specials at the store, where they give you 4 or 5 times the number of points, and then picks up a few cards for an upcoming DIsney trip, and gets her gas for like $1 a gallon.
My store doesn't sell gas, so I have bought target cards at Raise.com or Cardpool.com, and then used them to get the Disney cards. I also used a link at TopCashback.com before going to to Raise or Cardpool, which got turned into an
Amazon gift card (for my prime pantry delivery to the hotel). AND if you use your Disney Visa to pay for the gift cards, you get reward points that can be turned into another Disney Gift card.
I hope all of this made some sense, and is helpful.
