Buying a Bathing Suit at WDW ????

I would just keep trying online. I like www.swimsuitsforall.com. Take your measurements and compare them with the swimsuit you want. I've had good luck doing that to get the correct size.

Disney doesn't have much in the plus size area as I discovered when I tore my swimsuit bottom two years ago.

Lands End. You can probably use a code for free shipping to your home, try them on, and return the rest to Sears to avoid return shipping costs.

I've worn their suits for years and love them. I would NOT wait to try and find one at DW. You do not want to waste valuable vacation time in search of a suit that may or may not work out for you in terms of selection, fit, price, etc.

Good luck!

Another vote for Lands End. At this time of year you will probably be able to get a nice suit at a nice price.

I buy swimsuits at lands end.com. They are appropriate for women of age and size. Their measurements are right on. I just measure myself and go with the closest size. I like the swim skirt with the underwire bra plus size top that keeps everything in place and nicely covered. They are guaranteed and can be returned for any reason. Mine have worn very well for a couple of summers so far

Another vote for Land's End! They are on sale now and I just ordered my daughter's swim suit for our next trip. Like another poster said if they don't fit you can just return them to a Sears near you. No fiddling with return postage. :)

I would absolutely go with lands end. Order a variety, have them shipped to your local Sears, try them on. Immediately return the ones that don't work. You can return right at the counter.

That's a good idea. Do you try them on in the dressing room at Sears, or do you try them on at home and take back what doesn't fit.

Thanks Everyone for the replies. I know December weather is iffy. This is my 18th Disney vacation for early December. One year, maybe 4 years ago, it went down to 29 degrees one morning.

Oh ...... I will get more use out of my bathing suit seeing that I recently joined a gym and it has a pool.
Hey ....... Maybe .......... if I get enough use out of my current swim suit ....... just maybe ....... the next time I will be ordering a smaller size !!!!!!!

Often, not always. I always read the comments to see what others have to say.

I haven't actually done it, but if I were in a time crunch I would ask them if I could use the dressing rooms. If yes, then I'd do it. If no I'd run home really quickly. I'd go prepared, in "swimsuit-trying-on-underwear" that doesn't mess with the fit of the bottoms, etc.

While others are saying firmly that there are stores (like walmart) where you can buy swimsuits outside of summer, I've been burned by the big box stores not carrying regionally useful clothing, but going with the nationwide stocking. Tried to get a suit in September in San Diego for instance...impossible! I wasn't into spending $100 at an on-the-beach swimsuit shop, I wanted to get it at Target. Nope, it was ALL Fall there. So while I believe people saying that WM in Orlando sells them, with my luck they would stop selling regional stuff the week before I got there. :)

I would try landsend.com. And you can return to Sears. That's where both my mother and I get our suits. They have swim shirts and swim shorts too. We stayed at the Caribbean beach resort last week and they had bathing suits in the gift shop but they were all 2 pieces and not sure of sizes.
