Day 5-Today is Typhoon Lagoon day-please dont let it rain...AND IT DIDNT :Pinkbounc

We were at TL by 9:15 and got some seats to the left of the wave pool by a little boat for the kids to climb on. THe place was packed pretty soon after.

We did all the slides, raft rides and kiddie area. My son enjoyed flirting with the lifegaurds and going down the kiddie raft ride. We did countless jumps in the wave pool and a few laps in the lazy river. We had lunch at LEaning Palms and bought the refillable mug-pretty useless since the refill areas were surrounded by wasps and everyone was too afraid to refill! We also got the Garbage Pail sundae-YUMMY!

We bought a cpuple pics they took of us on the lazy river and one of my son on the baby raft ride. We bought some fresh donuts and headed back to WL to change.

Laura picked us up and we were off to Epcot for dinner at Le'Cellier. That was awesome. It was our first time there (much better than Alfredos which we did last trip) The cheese soup and bread was terrific. I had the 7oz steak and mashed potatoes-mouth watering. Mike enjoyed his garlic chickne and lobster tail. Kids had steak and chicken nuggets. Declan slept through the whole dinner-they were nice enough to let us bring the stroller in. We were all too full for dessert. Our waiter, Josh, was so friendly and really hot!!

We then walked around the countries, filling up the kids' passports from the last trip and making maks. We saw Off Kilter and bought their CD. We got a spot in Norway for Illuminations. I ended up getting some debris in my eye from the fireworks whcih bothered me all evening. The show was great.

We headed back WL for a swim but found out the WL had a power putage and was running on generaltors. THe pool was closed and only one elevator per bank was running. I straightened up the room while Mike did some wash. Then off to bed.
One thing I forgot to mention earlier-the first 2 days of the trip we came home to towel animals from housekeeping. The first day had all our stuffed animals riding a water slide made out of towels. The second day we had Minnie and a dinosaur putting on a show for the other animals. But after that we got nothing! We were kind of pissed. Not to be sexiest, but we noticed that for the first 2 days we had a female maid, the remainder of the trip was a male maid. Not sure if that has anything to do about it.

Highlights- NO RAIN!!
Wave pool]
Awesome dinner at Le'Cellier

Lowlights- Lack of maid service
Debirs in my eye
Power outage

Wonderful trip report ~ Thanx for sharing!!!

Yum Le Cellier - love that cheese soup - thanks for posting!

I wonder what caused the WL power outage. We had the same thing happen last August when we were there! But, all the elevators were working. I had tried to call in the Cub's Den where my dd was for a few hours from another location and the front desk told me there was a problem with the phone line.

Those towel animal displays were great!! You must have had the towel artist the first few days:p

JBurke: can you give a little more perspective about the Wilderness Lodge? We are staying there in October for the first time. Thanks for anything you might add.

jmommy-Well you will absolutely love the WL.
It is such a beautiful resort. Fom the moment you walk into the lobby you will be swept away. The wood, the totem poles, the music that makes you feel like you have stepped back in time and you are in the great west.

The waterfall that runs into the pool in gorgeous and there is nothing better than sipping a drink pool side. There is a geyser that goes off every hour by the pool. You have water sports/bike rental area right there. The boat to take you MK is so nice and leisurely.

Not sure what type of room you have booked. We have had Woods view and Courtyard Views. Both are lovely. They have have a fun restaurant and a "fancy" restaurant. Roaring Forks is the snack shop for quick breakfasts/lunches/dinners and to re-fill your soda mugs. They have a great gift shop.

We have gone twice in October-great time to go. Its still warm enough for swimming (80s). The parks arent open as long, but the crowds arent bad.

Let me know if I can answer any specific questions for you.
Have a fun trip!!
