Budget @ MCO - Intermediate List

I have a reservation at Budget for an "intermediate" size car to be picked up at MCO. The Budget website says intermediate is a Dodge Avenger or "similar". For those of you who have recently rented from Budget at MCO for an intermediate size car, what type of car did you rent and what were your other options?

Well, I will tell you I rented an SUV from Budget in July and our experience with them was pretty much WRETCHED. It took us 2 HOURS to get our Vehicle from them!! We were supposed to have a free upgrade which was not in their system which meant I should have got a larger sized SUV instead of the midsized one. They had run out of SUVs. It was Getting worse by the minute! DH was ready to get on the plane and fly back home he was so annoyed with the whole mess! And I had one of those special airport rates. I must say it was very very aggrevating. I know I am not answering your question, but I'm just letting you know that our experience with them was not a positive one. I like renting from them at their offsite locations but their airport site stinks!! When we came back for our return flight home, there must have been 20 families (not TOTAL people, but 20 pick ups!!) in line waiting and only 2 people working the counter. Oh yeah, and that was one of my complaints when we arrived. There was only 1 person in front of us when we got in line but a line was building extensively behind us because the people at the counter weren't moving. There were only 2 people working the counter and the one girl announced she was going on break while there was a line of us waiting!! It was probably about 8 minutes before another person came out of the back to help the other guy so that we were back to 2 people working on getting rentals set up! A couple of people shouted to the girl she should think about taking her break when there weren't so many people waiting and there was more help...apparently, she didn't care.
I hope you have better luck with picking up your rental than we did ours! I really do! Good Luck!
