Budget Buster-Dog Surgery

Hugs to your doggie! Four years ago my sweet Scout Dog had to have back surgery. She would have been paralyzed without the surgery, so it was the right choice. The surgery was about $4,000. Now she has cushings disease, which may have been caused by the steroids after the surgery. Her meds are around $200 a month. She's a budget buster, but we love her!

HOLY COW! That certainly is a budget buster! I hope she is doing well.

Last month our 10 yr fur baby was extremely sick and needed emergency surgery to remove her gall bladder that was leaking. That was the biggest budget buster ever for us but worth every penny. She is doing so well now and is acting like she did 4-5 years ago. I was in shock when I heard the price though, but what could we do. She was healthy otherwise so we bit the bullet and paid the ridiculous price

Hugs to your doggie for a speedy recovery. We spent around $5000 during the last 2 years of our cats life after she was diagnosed with kidney disease. It was worth it to get 2 more years with her.
