Bubble Guns??? Allowed or not allowed?

Also not saying it doesn't happen but I've also never been blasted with bubbles in a malicious way. I've seen kids having fun in wide open spaces or kids using them from their strollers but I've never seen or had a child in line shoot bubbles at close range. If that was to happen I would say something to the parents.

I will say I bought one at Fantasmic one year because they were for sale, I was bored, and heck it is my money so yeah I bought one. When I got back to my seat the woman in front of me very nastily said I better not shot that thing or she'd show me what she thought of them. I was taken aback! I had no plans on shooting bubbles at her and was on the isle where CMs and kids were already using them anyways. I couldn't believe a grown adult had threatened someone over a bubble gun! I didn't use it because I am not the confrontational type but I did use it in open spaces around the park as I left and then just goofing off at the walk ways around our resort. Yes I was 25 then and still really enjoyed bubbles. I even took it home to use to play with the dogs who love to pop them haha.
I LOVE bubbles too! I'm not above buying the Ariel wand just for myself on our trip in a couple of weeks. I love it and think it's very cute. It is my birthday trip after all. I tried to buy one for DGD on our last trip but I approached one of the stands that was cash only and didn't happen to have any and never want to a store for one another time.

Funny that so many people get all worked up about a bubble gun yet I have never heard anyone complain about the bubble snow that falls at MVMCP. The bubble snow is magical and wonderful but God forbid a bubble that someone blows or shoots form a bubble gun flies within 20 feet of them.

I have no problems with bubbles. I have no problem with them being a magical and wonderful snow show. I have no problem with them 20 feet from me.

I do have a problem with someone blasting them at my child and having them cause a rash and blisters where they land on her skin. God forbid I care about my child's health. :rolleyes2

Actually no I didn't know this. Granted it's been a couple years since I've been, but I have no recollection of this happening at all.
They used them then too, they were buzz lightyear bubble guns then.
So yeah, you'll see them in use more by CM than you will guests.

I think the point is more that you'll want to be prepared if you are there, especially if you go to the Frozen show or in MK at Christmas. There, bubbles fall from the sky and land on everyone.

Probably didn't notice because my daughter wasn't with us and she's the concern. This info helps though, knowing it's been a standard thing so just need to prepare for it.

Choice!

People choose to be on Main Street during the snow, or they choose to be some place else.

Clearly that's the difference between the two.

Mind, I'm not taking sides. A few bubbles in an open area don't bother us.

I just wouldn't want to lug the thing around all day, especially if I wound up with a backpack full of leaked bubble goo.

They're also in the Disney Jr show

Y'all all realize that the bubble wands are being used by CM in most every park all the time? It's not just guests that are blasting you with bubbles. We find more CM with them than we do kids quite honestly.

This is what I was thinking on my last trip after seeing similar debates here. "Gee, people on the Disboards get really upset over bubbles, but cast members are the only people I've seen with them!" We have pictures of our kids popping bubbles from cast members as we walked through HS.

yeah, CM used them to sell them and also to make "magical memories" I'm sure the CM LOVE having their hands all soapy all the time ;)

I used one all the time during a server issue on my attraction. I can honestly say I never had soapy hands during those times. We had to do something and bubbles was much better than putting on the nasty never washed Mickey hand haha.

But generally, when the CM are using them, they are using them in an open area where it is easy to avoid being covered in bubbles. When the family behind you in line is blasting bubbles everywhere, there's no escape.

My kids love them. We use our WDW one at home all the time. I'm sure we will buy 2 wands if we can find them on our first night on our upcoming trip and use them the entire time. My kids know not to shoot bubbles directly at people.

I don't know how anyone has missed the CMs using bubble guns (now wands) at all the carts throughout the park especially in the evening during the night time stuff.

No mind bubbles in the wide open where I can avoid them if I want to. Don't like them in line, or in tight spots where I don't get a choice in the matter.

Thanks everyone, my boys loved the bubble guns and have gotten them on our last two trips and I knew they would ask for them again this year. I purchased buzz lightyear ones here for 7 dollars CAD and thought that was a way better deal than Disney prices plus one less thing to buy with the bad exchange rate for us Canadians right no. I was just checking if I was allowed to bring them to the resort for my boys to play with. PS, I don't let them shoot the bubbles on anyone!!

I'm buying myself ( yes at 31) a ariel one next month, I can't wait to use it.
My kids had the guns and loved them, took them bk every trip.
My kids never shot them in any lines they was for parade time only and used responsibly

I do so love bubbles...so whimsical. We sit on our front steps and blow bubbles a lot! I don't mind them in the parks. I just wouldn't carry/buy them as I don't like the mess on my hands. But, if my kids wanted them/carried them/got covered in them...it would be all good :)

i hope that they are banned as when we attended the fireworks dessert party on our trip a few years ago parents were letting their kids use these while everyone was waiting for the show to begin.......it was very annoying to say the least!

They still sell them at the parks, at least they were two weeks ago. I saw several little girls with them, blue princess themed (Ariel I think). The bubbles are really small, but numerous spouting out the top of the wand. The bubbles didn't seem to travel far. I thought they looked cute, and every girl that had one was smiling! My daughter is an adult so nothing we would buy, and I agree the thought of carrying it around sounds messy. But those little princesses in the park seemed to be loving them!! I don't recall seeing any boys with them.
