BTMRR during MSEP?

We'll be arriving in just over 2 weeks. My two older (DS6 and DD8) think they want to do BTMRR, but I didn't make FP+ for this attraction, hoping we could ride standby. We won't be there just at RD on each of our MK mornings due to breakfast ADRs and check-out but hope to be at the park soon after.

If we don't make it onto it on either of the first two mornings, is it feasible to hit it during MSEP, then make our way back towards Fantasyland by using the walkway, sneaking behind the crowd in Liberty Square on the waterfront, past HM and then into Fantasyland?

I'm hoping to pick up a FP+ for Wishes on one of the days so does that work as well - BTMRR during MSEP, then make our way over to viewing spot? (I don't know what time you're supposed to be at the viewing area if you do get a FP+)

Any thoughts are helpful - thanks in advance!

Riding BTMRR during Wishes is a good plan. Lines will be shorter as folks start to line up for the fireworks. Many people leave the MK after the fireworks.

But you can also expect a surge at BTMRR after the fireworks, as many people chose to avoid the MSEP.

As to walking that inner loop to leave the BTMRR/Splash Mt. area during and/or immediately following the MSEP, this can be cluster-fudge of people. This may be the only way to make your way towards Fantasyland because you might not be able to cross the road….you will not be alone in your thinking.

So, if you are looking to 'thread a needle' of time, it's possible to accomplish your plan exactly as you have outlined. But also note, you will not be alone in your thinking and many other people will be following a similar plan to maximizing their Disney nirvana.

Matter of fact, with all the Hub construction, my wife & I have decided to avoid the fireworks from inside the MK and ride BTMRR/Splash Mt. with our 5 y.o. who really does not enjoy the loud noise of fireworks…..and then we stay outside Country Bears for start of MSEP so that we can walk through Adventureland tunnel and beat MSEP before it gets to Main Street.

But even the best laid plans seem to fail sometimes. Stressing at one attraction/event at the end of what is likely to be a long day is a way to burden yourself and family. Just be willing to go with the flow and enjoy yourself if your plan does not work exactly as you had hoped.

Ha ha, love the term "cluster-fudge"! I think that's a pretty apt description.

It's doable but if it doesn't happen...well, then we just have something to look forward to on our next trip, right?

Thanks!
