Brooklynn takes Bella to meet Cinderella! Page 242 Downtown Disney

MeMom - we didn't celebrate Halloween as much as you guys do until recently - in fact possibly just this year? at least in my area anyway. Last year, we didn't have any trick or treaters at the door (but it was a Thursday / school night...) this year we had LOADS (but it was a Saturday night) and it was a good job we were going to my brothers house for the night as we ran out of sweets! Every single kid that came to the door had made SUCH a huge effort with their costumes - it was really fun to see! The shops were selling SO much more stuff this year too.

We have an American lady renting the house next door to us and she had made a fantastic pumpkin cut-out outside her door - amazing! She is a funny lady - we barely see her and she's not really interested in chatting. A shame really. She thinks our area is like "Stepford Wives" - she called it Cookie County?!?!? or something like that... but its totally NOT and I'm sure when she's been here 6 months she'll realise! (its a nice enough street but the greater area around us isn't very nice sadly)

Loved all the pics of your Halloween / Pumpkin fun!!!

Julie xxx

Jill, it looks like you and your family are having a wonderful fall/Halloween!

I can't believe how big Bella is! And that smile! Too cute.

It's good to see Mom joined in the fun, too. :thumbsup2
I'll have to check out the blog for more pictures. I have not checked in in a while.

Truth be told, I have update the blog since August...I think...since I joined facebook, it's way easier to put pictures on there. But there are lots more pictures on fb. And now that I talked mom into joining fb, I probably won't update the blog much...

I loved seeing all the costumes! The kids look so cute dressed up!

I also enjoyed seeing the pictures of the pumpkin patch. Brooklynn and Bella look like they are having a grand time!

I love Brooklynn and Bella's costumes, and the picture of Brooklynn with the fake purple teeth. :rotfl:

I missed going to the pumpkin patch this year -- my B/F and I have gone each year, but with my going to school and working, and his working, our schedules never coincide. We DID find a huge pumpkin at Whole Foods for just $6, so we at least got to carve one.

Sorry you can't go to Disney in November again, but I am super excited that you'll get to spend New Years there! It will be so much fun to think of you guys on the Poly beach.

Here are some pictures from the past week of fun here in Alabama!

On Wednesday we went to the pumpkin patch.

Brooklynn enjoyed the playground area.

This is the trench our wagon left. Our guide pulled the tractor over but the wagon stayed on the road and he just had to drag us through. At one point his wheels started spinning.

Funny story: When we went to the bathroom before we left Brooklynn pulled down her blue jeans and lots of corn fell out. Brooklynn said " I have candy corn falling out of my booty!" and started dying laughing. I could here the ladies in the two stalls beside us laughing.

Right before we left we had to try and get one more picture. This is the best one from the 40 I took.

Finally last night we went trick or treating with friends from church. They had attached a hay wagon to the back of their truck so we just rode and then got off hit some houses and then back to the wagon.

Have a great first day of November everyone!

Loved all the above pixs and Mike said if you can tell us when your next trip is I can meet you guys in person finaly

Last year, Brooklynn had not been big enough to ride a pony, but now she was a big girl.

This face says it all!

IMG_0220.jpg

What a sweet, sweet smile. You can see the excitement at being old enough to finally ride the pony. :cloud9:

Here are my Trick-or-Treaters this year:
img_1979.jpg

Here is our Vampire Mickey pumpkin:

and all lit up:
img_1913-1.jpg

(unfortunately, someone smashed this pumpkin onto our neighbor's driveway late last night:mad: )

I hope you had a wonderful Halloween. It was only 39 degrees while everyone was going door to door.

I love all the pictures of the girls' Halloween, and the trip to the pumpkin patch! Especially the one of them in the corn- that was really cool, and Brooklyn searching for the "perfect pumpkin"! And they got a ton of candy!!! It looks like they had a great time.

The update with Brooklyn riding the pony is so sweet- you can tell how thrilled she is! I love the thumbs up!

Anyway, ignore my ramblings. I just love this time of year. I am very blessed to have my awesome family. I thank God for them and for my job and home and friends every day, but I think I do moreso this time of year. The beauty the God paints in our world at this time of year with all of the colors just makes me closer to Him and more aware of His constant presence. Even when I am busy with life and ignoring Him, He's still hanging out close to me, watching over me, and giving me this beautiful fall background at every turn.

I hope you all have a beautiful fall day with your families, too. :)

This is so nice, and so true. I love this time of year too.

I will post a couple pics of my son in a minute.

Here is my little Nemo. He had so much fun! I put some more in my TR if you want to see them!

IMG_2146.jpg

IMG_2130.jpg

All of the costumes are so cute! I love seeing all of the kids dressed up. They always look so excited and proud of themselves!

Jill, it looks like Brooklynn had an awesome week with so many wonderful activities going on!

Memom, my kids got far too much candy. They decided to hit every house in the neighborhood, which is about triple their usual amount. We packed a big bag up for my parents to take to Michigan with them. Then the container they will eat out of. There is one more that I think we will donate.

Our Halloween was uneventful...until we took the dog out for a walk at about 10:30 last night...We ran into a skunk, which my mom and I didn't see until our silly dog was right in its face. Luckily, it was a dumb skunk and sprayed in the opposite direction  She got the smell but no spray. The house was VERY smelly last night, but this morning the smell is almost entirely gone :goodvibes But until last night I thought skunks were cute...now the only cute skunk in my mind is Flower :rotfl:

Awwww look at Bella's little baby teeth! How old is she now? My baby cousin Kazin(strange name, I know  pronounced like kay-zin) has two teeth on the bottom. He's 9 months now. I saw him a couple weeks ago and he was crawling all over the place and he can stand up on his own, but no walking or talking yet.

Yep! He grew up in Benton not very far from Murray. He graduated in December 04.

Finally! I am caught up. I guess that is what happens when you start a TR very late in the game. I just wanted to tell you both how much I have enjoyed it so far. I think it is so funny that MeMom lives in Nashville and John is from western KY. I am a KY native and just recently moved from living in Lexington 9 years and now I live in the Knoxville area. It is nice to hear about disney from others that are from my area!! Keep it coming!

Love the thumbs-up picture of Brooklyn!!! She was ready to go!

I am quite partial to November as well, MeMom (maybe because it is my birthday month -- along with three other family members). The sun is finally out this morning, and it is very lovely the way it is hitting all the brightly colored leaves!!!

My kids have birthdays all in September and October. Jill spread her kids' birthdays out a little more - August and April. I'm glad. It's fun to find a reason in every month to celebrate something! :goodvibes

I would like to introduce you to my little ladies. We have Ava starring as kitty and Erin as Ariel.

october09002-1.jpg

Thank you for sharing. They are so cute! I know they are the biggest joys in your life!

Bella might have been an Ava, but Jill let Brooklynn decide between Ava Mackenzie (not sure if that was going to be the exact spelling) and Isabella Marie. Brooklynn came out with Bella Rie, and she's been Bella Rie ever since. I think she fits the name Bella perfectly, because we had a Bella at church camp who was a cute, tiny little girl who was just great in everything - good personality, good in sports, cute as a button. I think of her sometimes when I am around Bella. Jill calls her a range of names - she usually writes Isabella, but she calls her Bella or sometimes even Iz or Izzy. Whatever she's called, she just smiles at whoever is talking to her. She has a special smile when her Mommy walks into the room, though.

MeMom, believe me, you don't want to see a picture of Baylor....
Eleven year old boys don't do cute costumes....or so he says.
I'll post it on my thread and you can scroll past it with your eyes shut.

I thought I read that he was going to dress up. Maybe that was for school? I'll be over to check in a minute.

Lurker here!! Just wanted to ask is John wearing a Murray State shirt?
I graduated from Murray last year and I live in Northwest Tennessee!

Erica

Glad to have you here, GusT!
We're in Mid-Tenn, north of Nashville.

They could possibly be two of the sweetest little girls I have ever known in my life! :lovestruc

Oh Jill, those pictures are precious!!!!!!! I just love pumpkin patches!!

LOL! That is too funny about the "candy corn" in Brooklyn's booty!!!

They are both so cute!!!!!

Doesn't that sound like something a three year old would say? Candy corn!

IMG_5013.jpg

At the end of the day Brooklynn had a great time!
IMG_5112.jpg

Good thing she has a dentist appointment tomorrow!

Cool shirt, Jill.

Those are great pictures!

Bella is getting so big!

I wish you could see her in person. She would just smile so big at you. We have to cross paths someday, LL.

Ariel and her friend Flounder!

Good to see that Ariel Girl was able to have all red hair!

Wonder who will end up swiping all the chocolate. :rolleyes1

Jill, it looks like you had a fun filled week! Brooklynn, is just looking so grown up. I think it might be her long hair, but she also looks tall to me and Bella is just the cutest little thing...

I couldn't believe Brooklynn standing on top of those tractor tires, what a brave girl!
Do you have pictures of Brooklynn every year getting measured?

Brooklynn has had three weekends of Halloween fun. She is going to have a rude awakening next weekend!

MeMom - we didn't celebrate Halloween as much as you guys do until recently - in fact possibly just this year? at least in my area anyway. I thought the picture of Toby was so cute.

Don't be too hard on your neighbor. I don't chat with mine either. Sometimes when you get too buddy-buddy there ends up being obligations and drama and such. I wave and go on. I guess with me being around 600+ people all day, I feel like home is my sanctuary, and I want to just come in and shut out the world.

I'm glad you enjoyed Toby's first Halloween. It will be interesting to see what costumes he ends up in as he grows up.

Jill, it looks like you and your family are having a wonderful fall/Halloween!

I can't believe how big Bella is! And that smile! Too cute.

Isn't she precious? I know I am an unfair judge, but I just love her little two-toothed smile.

Next Halloween, you will be dressing up a little one...and showing us pictures, of course! :)

Truth be told, I have update the blog since August...I think...since I joined facebook, it's way easier to put pictures on there. But there are lots more pictures on fb. And now that I talked mom into joining fb, I probably won't update the blog much...

Okay, we'll see pictures here or on Facebook. Just as long as we don't get left out. ;)

I love Brooklynn and Bella's costumes, and the picture of Brooklynn with the fake purple teeth.

School and work are necessary evils, I guess. At least you did carve a pumpkin. Did you do anything fancy, or was it just a regular face?

The NYE fireworks should be spectacular! Trent can send pictures to Facebook so that you can join us.

Loved all the above pixs and Mike said if you can tell us when your next trip is I can meet you guys in person finaly

Well, our next trip is in December. After that, we have to go all the way until July. Jill and I are both going to be gasping for breath having to wait that long! Brooklynn too!!!

What a sweet, sweet smile. You can see the excitement at being old enough to finally ride the pony. :cloud9:

She was a happy cowgirl. :)

Here are my Trick-or-Treaters this year:

I hope you had a wonderful Halloween. It was only 39 degrees while everyone was going door to door.

Love all the costumes! I know they had a great time.

I like the assortment of jack-o-lanterns you have, too.
Too bad about the smushed Mickey. :sad2:
It was cool here, but I don't think it was as low as 39.

He is a little doll! Thank you for sharing your picture.
I will find your report.

We have that same Mickey pumpkin bucket. This year's buckets were orange, yet see-through. I like the ones we have (and you have) better.

When you know when in July can u let me know so I know when I am going for my b-day it will be late because my b-day is in June but it will be worth it just to meet you guys

Wow looks like it was a busy week for you guys!! The girls look adorable at the pumpkin patch, they're both getting so big! Of course, they also look cute as ever on Halloween! I hope they had a great time trick or treating yesteryday. :thumbsup2

MeMom, I too love November. Just the Thanksgiving holiday and the build up leading to it combined with the fall weather and the delicious cooking makes it great. Want to send me up some of those cobblers? They sound yummy!!

Well we don't do the whole Halloween thing but our church does a fall carnival in mid October every year and we always go to the pumpkin farm! We love the pumpkin farm!!! So here are a few pictures from the carnival and the farm. She chose to be Jasmine for the carnival and put that tattoo on her face by herself! It finally came off after about a week of scrubbing! BTW, it's hard to tell by the picture, but her belly is covered with fabric! (I wouldn't let my 5 year old have her belly showing.:rolleyes1)

I get that a lot! She is very tall and mature for her age. She had teeth at 3 months and already has 6 permanent teeth. I can only imagine what her teenage years will be like. I'd be thrilled if she would slow down a little.

When you know when in July can u let me know so I know when I am going for my b-day it will be late because my b-day is in June but it will be worth it just to meet you guys

Probably the first or second of July. You should be there on your actual birthday, though, because it is the best being there on your actual day! Besides that, we are no big deal, and your birthday is! If you are still there on the first or second, we will make plans to meet up.

Yes we do! Marc & I are tentatively planning a December 2011 trip. I'll keep you posted. ;) :rotfl2:

You'll probably go at a better time than us, though. We have to follow a school schedule, unfortunately, and go during the worst crowd times. Keep us posted anyway, and we'll see what happens.

I made a small portion of cherry and peach today. I tried the cherry, and I think Drew ate a bite, too. Trent tried the peach, and he ate it all up! They were both good. I'm thinking of trying a pineapple bread pudding, too. I'm gonna have fun practicing for whatever I end up taking on the 20th!

She makes a very cute Princess. :)

I didn't notice the stomach covering until you mentioned it. Some of the Disney on Ice costumes are made like that, too.

Looks like you had a beautiful day at the pumpkin farm!

I hate to say it but she looks older then five

She probably looks older because she seems to be so cooperative and well-behaved in her pictures.

She looks very proud of her tattoo, RinkyTinkyTinky. Tell her I like it! :thumbsup2
