Brooklynn takes Bella to meet Cinderella! Page 242 Downtown Disney

Creepy movie! :scared1: It's based on a Stephen King novel. No wonder Drew doesn't like clowns... I must admit I haven't like clowns since I saw it.

LOVE the updates! It looks like Brooklynn loved the pony ride!: :goodvibes

Happy Halloween everyone!
Rachel

Yeah...I can see why he'd be afraid of clowns after watching that movie. I'm a HUGE Stephen King fan and I've read the book and seen the movie. After reading the book and seeing the movie I've always been a bit leery of storm drains!

Home from Trunk or treating...boy was it cold! Here are a couple of pictures of my Mickey and Minnie! I had to get in on the fun too!

Hi Memom and Jill

I just love your trip reports. I know its been a while since I've said hi...but I peek in on you all almost every day and its the highlight of my day!!

Brooklyn and Bella are two very lucky and adorable little girls:cutie:

I cant wait to see more of your trips!

Mickey and Minnie are just adorable! I love that you wore your ears to go along with them!!

Here's my crew:

Drew was way too small to be seeing a scary movie then. He likes scary movies now, but nothing with clowns, I can assure you. As for me, I don't think I'll ever be grown-up enough to watch scary movies.

Hope you had a fun Halloween, too!

The picture of Brooklynn with the thumbs up made me giggle out loud. So serious and precious at the same time.

I have a huge fear of bats. I wasn't even willing to go along the Maharajah Trek because I knew there were bats somewhere along the way!

We studied bats in school this week. The students loved it. Did you know there is a bat that weighs less than a penny? Hard to comprehend that.

One on of our Disney trips, there was a little girl (appeared to be Japanese) who stood outside the bat entrance door and said, "I wish not to go in there." It was cute. :)

I spied a MeMom. I also noticed the my knee hurts stand. I know it very well. I do a version of that stand too.
Brooklynn on the horse, that was a moment of pure joy for her wasn't it?
Bella, sweet little Bella , she just goes with the flow. Too cute.

Here is Tigger dressed as Dracula and Dumbo dressed as a little boy named Ty.

Yes, Jill caught me in one of my bird stances. I'm sure I stood on one foot quite often during that trip, so I am glad she didn't take too many pictures.

At least you can learn from me - when you are standing on one foot, don't put your hands on your hips!

I think that face does show pure joy. ::yes::

Bella does just go with the flow. Stick me in a pouch and take me wherever! She's a pretty happy camper unless she's hungry, and she does like her diapers changed right away. Other than that, she's a pretty content baby.

Ty is a doll in his Dumbo suit! :) I hope your family had a wonderful Halloween/birthday at your house.

I'm feeling much better I made it to school yesterday and I got all of my make up work...which I will do tomorrow. No work on Halloween! I went trick or treating with my cousin last year but I'm staying in tonight. 16 is probably too old...although my cousin was 18 when we went I was too lazy to get a costume anyway, plus I was sick all week.

My mom and I "accidently" bought way more candy than we're gonna need for the trick or treaters tonight. I guess we'll have to eat what's leftover

SPIDERS! I have no idea why but I've always been terrified of them! :scared1: And I can sympathize with Drew..."It" was a terrifying movie!!!!! But it's a Stephen King movie, so what else can you expect?

Yeah, when you are sixteen, it's more time for parties than going out.
Enjoy your leftover candy! :goodvibes

I just don't like any scary movies, so Stephen King has always been synonymous with 'don't watch it' to me. ;)

We did Trunk or Treat at our church. Tom was a referee, Lee was just himself, Sarah Jo was a 50's sock-hop girl (she helped out with a diner-themed trunk), and Maggie was a pirate princess. It was a lot of fun!

Denise

We'd love to see them. I bet Lee was handsome dressed up as....himself. :)
The sock hop idea is cute, and I'm sure the little pirate princess was adorable. Glad you guys had a fun family night!

I think I am glad I have neither read the books nor seen the movies. I'm just fine with storm drains, but if you keep talking, I might not be. Say no more!

IMG_1410.jpg

Such a cute Mickey and Minnie you have there! I'm so glad you guys had a fun family time at trunk-or-treating. I think it's a great idea to do things like that. I'm kind of the opinion that Halloween should be more parties and activities with people you know rather than the random house door-knocking. These days, I wouldn't let my little ones go to houses of people they didn't know. We never were big on Halloween around here, but we enjoyed the church parties and went to the community thing at the park a couple of times.

It's good to see Mom joined in the fun, too. :thumbsup2
I'll have to check out the blog for more pictures. I have not checked in in a while.

Ohhhh, I love it, they are so cute!:goodvibes

Aren't they? I'm going to check your report to see if you have a picture of Baylor up. Feel free to share one here. :)

Thanks! They had a good time and everyone made a fuss over them!

I can picture Hannah just grinning away as people talked to her and Owen not knowing what the fuss was all about but smiling anyway!

We're glad you joined in this time. It makes it more fun when lots of people join in. We can sort of get to know each other a little so that if we are ever on trips at the same time, we can meet and say hello and feel at ease doing so.

If we ever finish this one, we'll start on the October one. Or maybe we'll go straight into the Christmas one and then backtrack and do the October one during the long spring months when we have no trip planned until summer.

Thanks for the compliments on the girls. I hope you can tell a little of their personalities, too, as you read along. They are fun to be around.

Aren't you lucky to live with two superheroes?!?!? No trouble will ever come to your house!

They are all so cute! Little Pooh sure looks toasty warm!

Did they get a huge haul of candy? Brooklynn has managed to have three weekends filled with Halloween fun, so she thinks candy is a regular part of life now. Jill is going to make some of it disappear pretty soon and wean Brooklynn back into normal life.

Moparop, the kids look adorable! I'll bet the boys had fun! Aileen is really growing.

I wish we could have all seen each others' kids in person.
Somebody smarter than me needs to invent an instant transport machine!

This is my little BAT BABY! Happy Halloween for yesterday! xxx

Very cute! Love the little wings. He looks quite happy about his costume. Do you guys do Halloween the same across the big pond as we do here?

****************************

So another Halloween has come and gone, and the Great Pumpkin did not arise out the pumpkin patch that I know of. I don't even know if they show that Charlie Brown episode any more. I have the TV on so little that I don't even know if they showed it, but they probably did. We used to watch it every year, and I used to be able to show it at school, but now we can only show library videos. Another way the fun has been zapped from my job.

Now it is time to look forward to a peaceful Thanksgiving with lots of good food, family, and fun, followed by an exciting Christmas time. I kind of wish we were going to Disney World at Thanksgiving again, because we had a great time and great weather last year, but the school system traded the full week at Thanksgiving for the fall break, so we only get three days now. We'll be able to stay longer on the December trip, so that is better, but I quite enjoyed eating Thanksgiving dinner at Chef Mickey's last year. :thumbsup2

The leaves are falling here in Middle Tennessee, and the ones left on the trees are orange and red and yellow. So very pretty! It was a little drizzly yesterday, so I made my first big fall/winter pot of chili. Last weekend it was potato soup. I ate potato soup for lunch three days in a row and did not get tired of it.

This week, I will be baking some practice cobblers. Our grade level is in charge of the November breakfast we have at school, and I'm doing the sweets. If I can get an apple crumble to taste like the one I had at the Hollywood & Vine Playhouse Disney breakfast we had a couple of weeks ago, I will be very happy. It was delicious! I got peach, apple, and cherry pie fillings, so I'm going to experiment for the next couple of weeks and see which comes out best. I may end up making two different ones with two different recipes. Then I was thinking of applesauce cake and banana bread for the other sweets.

I appreciate November, the changing season, and the idea of Thanksgiving, so it is one of my favorite times of the year. It's nice to know we'll have a little bit of a break again in a few weeks. December brings several fun activities at school, so it always goes quickly. We will have fun planning for Christmas and for our Disney trip. It will be incredible to see WDW fireworks from the beautiful Polynesian beach...along with forty thousand of our closest friends. ;) We are super-excited about getting a Kona ADR for that night!

Anyway, ignore my ramblings. I just love this time of year. I am very blessed to have my awesome family. I thank God for them and for my job and home and friends every day, but I think I do moreso this time of year. The beauty the God paints in our world at this time of year with all of the colors just makes me closer to Him and more aware of His constant presence. Even when I am busy with life and ignoring Him, He's still hanging out close to me, watching over me, and giving me this beautiful fall background at every turn.

I hope you all have a beautiful fall day with your families, too. :)

Love the thumbs-up picture of Brooklyn!!! She was ready to go!

I am quite partial to November as well, MeMom (maybe because it is my birthday month -- along with three other family members). The sun is finally out this morning, and it is very lovely the way it is hitting all the brightly colored leaves!!!

MeMom, believe me, you don't want to see a picture of Baylor....
Eleven year old boys don't do cute costumes....or so he says.:sad2:
I'll post it on my thread and you can scroll past it with your eyes shut.:goodvibes

Lurker here!! Just wanted to ask is John wearing a Murray State shirt?
I graduated from Murray last year and I live in Northwest Tennessee!

Here are some pictures from the past week of fun here in Alabama!

On Wednesday we went to the pumpkin patch.

Brooklynn enjoyed the playground area.

This is the trench our wagon left. Our guide pulled the tractor over but the wagon stayed on the road and he just had to drag us through. At one point his wheels started spinning.

Funny story: When we went to the bathroom before we left Brooklynn pulled down her blue jeans and lots of corn fell out. Brooklynn said " I have candy corn falling out of my booty!" and started dying laughing. I could here the ladies in the two stalls beside us laughing.

Oh Jill, those pictures are precious!!!!!!! I just love pumpkin patches!!

LOL! That is too funny about the "candy corn" in Brooklyn's booty!!!

They are both so cute!!!!!

Friday afternoon was "Fall Festibal" at school. I technically still had to be at work, but I got to sneak in and see Brooklynn for a minute. John came and partied with her.

The class had tiedyed t-shirts as a project earlier in the week. The orange cupcake on Brooklynn's plate are the ones we had made Thursday night.

I snuck Isabella from her class so she could come visit for a minute.

Finally last night we went trick or treating with friends from church. They had attached a hay wagon to the back of their truck so we just rode and then got off hit some houses and then back to the wagon.

Have a great first day of November everyone!

Lurker here!! Just wanted to ask is John wearing a Murray State shirt?

Erica

Yep! He grew up in Benton not very far from Murray. He graduated in December 04.

Jill, it looks like you had a fun filled week! Brooklynn, is just looking so grown up. I think it might be her long hair, but she also looks tall to me and Bella is just the cutest little thing...

I couldn't believe Brooklynn standing on top of those tractor tires, what a brave girl!
Do you have pictures of Brooklynn every year getting measured?
