Brooklynn takes Bella to meet Cinderella! Page 242 Downtown Disney

Like I said, I have them hidden in the back room so that I don't think about them!

Maybe I should come and get them QUICK!! :)

I hope you have a wonderful Halloween!! Here's hoping for a nice, rain free night!!!!!

Did you have just the greatest trip with your kids? We'd love to hear all about it. It makes me feel good that we helped your family have a more magical time in some small way. How was the weather for you? It was getting warmer the day we left, but it was also starting to rain, too. The Disney sky always 'cries' along with us the day we leave. The last four times we have left, it was raining after either little or no rain our entire trips!

We had a great time. I plan on writing a trip report in the near future. We had many magical moments that I'd like to share. The weather was cool for the first two days - actual jeans weather in Florida. The rest of the time it was perfect shorts weather.

Hi there MeMom! I just came over to get caught up, wow, they sure did goop up Brooklynn's hair, cute though even if it was thick!

I think you need to get that purse, just think how long you will carry it and the joy it will bring you.
Buy it! Enjoy it! You deserve it!

A bunch of CM's were out there laughing and dancing, too.

I believe I have a picture of the CM leading the pack there dancing - she was going to TOWN when we saw her! It was great!!! I'm almost positive it was the same gal without looking back at my pictures...

And I know that is the same CM who did Henry's hair in September. :goodvibes

I'm really glad Joe spit out a "No hair gel!" when the barber asked for Henry. I would have said yes...and regretted it later! :sad2:  I'm glad to read Brooklynn forgot about it eventually!

is the goo hard to get out I was thinking about doing it for my 25 b-day but not if it is hard to get out

Enjoy the musical! We saw a local high school put it on a few years back, and it was really good!

Denise

The play was very good, and the costumes were excellent. I have to say to whoever did them, they almost rivaled a Disney production. They were incredible. I wish we could have taken pictures so that you could see. It was a long show with an intermission, but it made for a very short day. :) We came back to school, had lunch, watched Magic School Bus, had our Halloween treats, and then went outside for about fifteen minutes. After that, it was time to go home! :yay:

I wish we still went on field trips and had Halloween snacks and movies. High school is so boring

There are a TON of sick kids in my school. A mix of swine flu and seasonal flu. It finally caught me. Seasonal flu, not swine I've been sick since Monday night. We're not positive it's the flu, but does it really matter what it's called? It stinks anyway But I'm on the mend and I'm going back to school tomorrow. I'm afraid of all the make up work I'm gonna get The only fun part is spending the last 3 days on the couch with the laptop. Extra DIS time

There are some pros to teaching at the elementary level. I wouldn't want to teach anything over about fifth grade anymore. Kids are so street smart and they get attitudes younger and younger, it seems to me.

Sorry you were sick, but glad you made the best of it and got some DIS time out of it. :thumbsup2

Hi MeMom. Sorry have not been around too much. Life has been totally crazy with sick kids, work, uh... life :0)
Just wanted to let you know I saw the purse you like at the shop in the Contemporary on my one day visit friends trip a couple of weeks ago, if that makes it easier for you to find it. :0)

If they have it at the Contemporary, that would be easier to get to. We'll see if I have the money to spend on a purse when December rolls around. :)

Sick kids - I hope they are all better for Halloween. Trent always managed to have croup at Halloween. By the time he outgrew it, he was playing ball and would have practice or games. Good thing he didn't ever care for sweets, because he rarely went trick-or-treating in his young life!

Just checked in to read your latest update. Brooklynn's hair is so cute. Love all the Mickey head confetti!! I also have the purse that Walt is holding Mickey's hand. I love it. I do rotate purses with the seasons but I usually do not spend too much on my purses either. I wait until JC Penney is having a sale & if I see one I like I might get it. I am VERY picky when it comes to purses!! But I just had to have that Walt & Mickey purse when I saw it.

If they had an all black purse with that picture as a small emblem, I would love that!

ok - so I am at least 25 pages behind. This whole wedding planning has been taking a complete toll on me... well that and we are re-doing our Kitchen..
I hope you are all doing well and I cannot wait to have a few moments to catch up on this great report. I really miss all of my Dis friends.

oooo - no disney wedding...but my NY wedding is entirely disney themed... everthing from my ceremony music (someday my prince will come instrumental) to the Beauty and the beast prologue. I have mickey votives and getting a pirates of the carribean and minnie mouse ice sculpture. I ordered a cinderella castle wedding cake. All my table settings are named after characters and my save the dates were disney inspired. I even have cinderella champagne flutes and my bride and groom ears... and don't forget the mickey confetti... The list goes on and on and on... I told Joe it would have been cheaper to get married there.

When you are finished with your kitchen, can you come and do mine? :)

I can't wait to see your awesome wedding!!! You will have to show us many, many pictures with all the details!

Hey can I use your disney theme idea I love it. It is almost as good as having it @ the world

Jill had all Disney music at her wedding and Disney touches at the reception. It was subtle and very nice.

We did haircuts for the boys at the barber shop last winter. They are so gentle and sweet. I just really am amazed by then. We had asked Doug about getting some of the gel and he was horrified. From the stories I've heard about the goopiness, I think I am glad he didn't!

Maybe Aileen will go for the goo when it's her turn! :cutie:

Maybe I should come and get them QUICK!! :)

I hope you have a wonderful Halloween!! Here's hoping for a nice, rain free night!!!!!

I have made a pledge not to free them before they get to their rightful owners. They are safe, but just let me know whenever you want them.

It's a non-school night and they get an extra hour of sleep. There will be tons of kids out!

For us it was cool in the mornings at the first bus wait, but in about two hours it was perfect.

It was cute.

Yeah, a million days divided by $68 might not be a bad deal. :thumbsup2

And they get to stay there and we have to come home after a few days. No fair!

A fun activity awaited Brooklynn, so she soon forgot the thick gel.

txs so I will do it then

I'm sure it will be very nice! :goodvibes

Dawn, in her infinite Disney wisdom, deduced that we would not go to Wilderness Lodge, since we'd be going there later to stay. She thought we were going to Fort Wilderness.

Oh, I knew we wouldn't see cowboys, but this picture just fit the thought. :)

Look up the Disney Weddings CD for starters. I think that is the name of it. Maybe it says Fairy Tale Weddings on it? Not sure.

I love the picture of Bella sleeping! Can't wait to see Brooklynn and the ponies!

Denise

Coming up!

**************************

We walked around talking to the sweet ponies for a few minutes.

Last year, Brooklynn had not been big enough to ride a pony, but now she was a big girl.

This face says it all!

IMG_0221.jpg

After a short ride, Brooklynn told her pony goodbye.

IMG_0222.jpg

IMG_0223.jpg

These guys were taking a break from chasing each other around furiously.

Then it was back to the boat under this pretty Florida sky.

IMG_0225.jpg

A view of Wilderness Lodge.
We were excited to think about staying here at the end of the trip.

It was fun to guess where our room would be.

On the bus back to Pop Century - Brooklynn and Jill having some fun.

Documenting our date and time.

IMG_0237.jpg

Back in the room, Brooklynn enjoyed a snack of jelly bread.

IMG_0239.jpg

A loaf of bread and a jar of peanut butter helped curb the food costs for me on this trip. ;)

Jill had some of a snack she had gotten from Goofy's Candy Company.

Next: a few souvenir pictures.

Pony rides freak me out. I have a vivid memory of being on a pony at my dad's company picnic. Something bad happened right after they put me on the pony, my dad threw his back out and was laying on the ground. And here I am on this pony doing the ride loop and I just wanted to make sure my Dad was okay. I was a screaming mess by the time they got me off the pony and back to my parents. Truly horrible. I shudder at pony rides. MeMom you have things trapped inside things phobia, I have pony ride phobia. But I am GLAD that Brooklynn enjoyed hers.

Love the light fixture picture, but you already knew that. ;)

Dawnin her infinite Disney wisdom, deduced that we would not go to Wilderness Lodge, since we'd be going there later to stay. She thought we were going to Fort Wilderness.

infinite wisdom? :rotfl: ray would get a kick outta that. okay, maybe when you add the word "disney" in there. ;)

i laughed out loud at bella in this picture! :rotfl2: i turned the computer around and showed ray and said, "can you see bella in this picture?" he goes, "yeah, she's looking down." i said, "no, that's brooklynn. don't you see the baby?" he didn't even see her for a second and then when he did he was like, "is she alive????"

so exciting! you can see the excitment in her little face. glad she got to ride! :goodvibes

I love the pony ride! We had two Shetlands that we kept in our backyard when I was a little girl....
You are right, that picture said it all!:lovestruc

Punkin's post with Ray's comment had me cracking up.....
Poor Sleeping Beauty Bella!

That picture of Sleeping Bella is so funny!!! Love the excitement on Brooklynn's face on the pony ride. Hannah would love doing this. Something else to put on the list!

I think a trip to Ft. Wilderness is in the 2010 summer plans for sure! Love the pony ride pictures!

Okay, so now we have fears of enclosed spaces, birds, and ponies. I'm sorry you had that bad experience and the lingering memory of that time.

Anyone else care to share their fears? Maybe we can help each other get through them. We laugh about them, but they are really fears, so someone might come up with suggestions on how we can deal with them better.

I hope I never develeop a fear of shopping!

Bella spent a lot of time asleep this summer, but she slept a lot less on the October trip. In that little contraption, she falls asleep much better than when she is in a stroller, because it's like Jill is holding her.

I love that look on Brooklynn's face. That's why I love pictures so much. I can go right back to that minute and absorb myself in the sights, sounds, and smells of that time. Thankfully, the smell wasn't bad at all for us to have been around horses. Disney figured out a way to make the area clean and fairly odor-free.

Love Brooklynn's picture! I bet she was excited to take a ride on a horse...so fun!

She was. That might be something your boys would enjoy on your next trip if they don't get to ride at home. Some kids are around horses, and that little ride wouldn't have been very exciting to them, but for someone who is not around horses at all, except driving past them in the fields, that was a good time.

Poor Sleeping Beauty Bella!

So you are an expert. You probably would have enjoyed seeing those two youngsters chasing each other around. They were going from one end of the pen and back in circles for a long time. It was fun to watch.

A lot of people thought Jill was carrying a doll on the front of her.

That picture of Sleeping Bella is so funny!!! Love the excitement on Brooklynn's face on the pony ride. Hannah would love doing this. Something else to put on the list!

Aaah, the list! It is always good to have a Disney list. :)
At the top of our list for December is to see the Princess Tiana Showboat Musical, especially since it is supposedly only lasting for a short time.

Ah, she was so cute on that pony! Loved the pics as usual.

She was proud to be big enough to sit up there alone.

On the pictures - thanks.

I think a trip to Ft. Wilderness is in the 2010 summer plans for sure! Love the pony ride pictures!

The ride itself was short, but seeing the ponies was fun, and the Fort is just a different atmosphere anyway, so that's nice. We didn't go over to the big horse barn this time, but your kids would love seeing the huge horses over there, and the stable is so clean!
