Brittany Murphys husband dead

Simon Monjack, the screenwriter husband of the late actress Brittany Murphy, died on Sunday night at his Hollywood Hills home, police told the Los Angeles Times.

The cause of his death, which comes just five months after Murphy died at the age of 32, was unknown, the newspaper said.

"We have detectives at scene," Sgt. Louie Lozano told the Times. "They are conducting their investigation. Once we have further information, we will provide it."

L.A. Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey said it responded to a 911 call for an "unspecified medical need request" at 9.24 p.m. PT Sunday, the paper said.

I just read it was cardiac arrest- same thing that killed Brittany Murphy.

Hmmm- somehow I just can't believe this is a coincidence. Tragic for 2 people to die so young, and so close together.

I never was a huge fan of Brittany Murphy but she always seemed to be happy and a "nice" celebrity. Again, tragic.

I have to say, I never liked him. He gave me the creeps, and some of her Hollywood friends say that when they married, they kinda ended their friendships with her.
I always kind of suspected him of knowing something about her death. But I shouldn't speak bad of the dead. It is sad. A year ago, they were probably happy and of course had no clue that both of their lives would be over in separate incidents.

On CNN they said Brittany's mother was living in the house with Simon Monjack? Was she living with them before Brittany died?

Yes she was. She found Brittany unconscious, too.

This is very odd and strangely "coincidental." It would be a shame to find out the house actually has a carbon monoxide leak, or something that was easily correctable, but it was never looked into after Brittany's death, and now her DH died of it, too.
