Still NO docs for us. Is there anyone else still waiting?? I thought for sure they would come today.

We're still waiting, :sad2: and so is my mom.

Still no docs at our house. But I was able to get dh to get the suitcases out of the attic. Of course, he could have agreed to getting them down since he has to go out of town next week and will need one of them.

Pam, sorry to hear you are having so many problems with receiving your docs. Mine are being sent to my TA who is in Colorado and then he has to turn around and send them to me and I live in Florida. Wonder if I can get some frequent flier miles on my docs. :goodvibes

Mentioned the 10/11 day cruises to my dh this evening. He didn't say no, but didn't say yes either. Hopefully the prices don't skyrocket like they did for the repo cruises.

Still no docs here either - but I did talk to Allseas when I put a hold on the 11 day cruise :cool1: They were mailed out on 8/3 -- so Monday I should be doing the doc dance.

Just checked the website -- prices have NOT skyrocketed yet!

I will be driving right by AllSeas on Monday on my way to and from work. Unfortunately I did not use them on this cruise, but have recommended them to my son who is planning a disney cruise. Guess I need to check the AllSeas website for prices for the 10 or 11 day cruises. That may help my dh decide. Of course, it would be nice to wait and book while on the cruise, but not sure I want to wait that long to decide.

Got my docs, called DCL and transfered out cabin 2626 the horrendously noisy cabins into a quieter one. More cat 9 cabins opened up this am. W :cool1:  :rotfl: oohoo

Yeah for more docs!
I hope everyone else gets theirs Monday :guilty:

Are there any WDW experts amoung this group? We are doing DL before the cruise - but not flying out until Sunday after so would like to spend Sat taking a look at WDW. I know that part of a day there is silly - it is so big! But I did want to take a peek at it anyway.
I was thinking we could do Animal Kingdom without too much stress? The boys and I love that type of thing (we went to Sea World last time after a cruise) Maybe one of the water parks too?
Epcot seems like too much to try to tackle on a part day.
Any help would be great!!! :goodvibes

My kids love Animal Kingdom but they close around 5:00. If you get a Park Hopper you could spend the rest of the day at Epcot and see Mission Space and Illuminations. Since you're going to DL before I wouldn't consider MK. You probably already know that... Blizzard Beach is great fun also. The only other option is MGM and they have a new stunt show out now. Hope I didn't confuse you more. Wish we could go with you!

How hard was it to transfer cabins? Did you have a TA or did you deal with DCL directly?

Would love to change cat 9

I would go to Animal Kingdom first thing Sunday morning, before it warms up. The animals will be more active.

Nearly there now, did some last weekend shopping for the cruise packing and just three days left at work, before flying to Vegas on Thursday for the start of our holiday, All tickets both UK and DCL are in, so just a bit of last minute organising.

Then is Vegas, Grand Canyon, Hollywood, before Disneyland and the cruise, why do the last few days before a holiday go so slow, but the last few days of a holiday go so fast??

I saw the cabin available on the DCL web site this am, and called DCL directly in my most pleasant voice. :goodvibes
I do have a TA, but unfortunately they are on the West coast, ie hours behind Disney's eastern time. Also I had asked him this week for a switch and nothing was available even though he said he asked them to note the request on my reservation :guilty:
I just asked what cabins were available indicating that I would like to change and was given the same list of cabins that were on line. There was no problem switching and no questions asked except the routine ID confirmation info. :wizard:
Maybe because the category was the same?? I do miss being able to deal with DCL directly, but I wanted to use my credit card cruise miles discount towards this cruise, so that's why the res. was transfered to the TA.

Whiskers. AK is very nice. Get there early, the animals tend to disappear in the mid morning to probably late afternoon. By then the park is closed. IMHO AK is the poorest designed of the Disney parks. Some shade but quite a bit of hot walking. And the paths into the different areas are at times absolute grid lock. If you have a good zoo near you at home and go there often AK may not be as great as you might think. We are long time Philadelphia Zoo members and have done AK a couple of times. Just like Philly better. Nations first you know.
I think I might do MGM with the new stunt show which from every thing I've read and from friends who have seen it is outstanding. And then do the EPCOT for the evening. Illuminations is lovely and Space Ship Earth and the various lands.
Tomorrow is the practice pack for this household ( that means Phil and I) and we are already arguing over what is going and who is carrying what. I talked to the TSA yesterday about sewing needles. He said as long as the needles are with sewing/needlework it should be okay. I plan to bring a couple of needles in case I somehow lose one.

Whiskers - I agree totally with Estelle, we have the San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park and we were very disappointed with Animal Kingdom (I should say the adults were 'cuz the kids love it all no matter how it compares!).

Thanks for the replies everyone!
I'll have to think about what to do. I know it will be very busy at WDW since it is the Labor Day long weekend. We'll be so lazy and relaxed after 14 days on the cruise that we may not be up to much exertion! :rotfl:

A while back someone was asking about the three fairies pins. I was getting the pin case ready today and saw I have all three. These were the rack pins from a few years back. So whoever it was that wanted them speak now.

BTW my vote would also be for MGM with maybe a night trip to see wishes at MK. Or better yet dinner at Ca. Grill or Ohana at firework time.

oh oh oh -- that was me wanting three fairies pins!!! I'm excited now! LOL
I'll send you a PM!

I would have to cast my vote for MGM too, it's my favorite! It's small enough that you would be able to see most of the "big" stuff in one day. Don't miss Tower of Terror, Rockin' Rollercoaster, & Fantasmic. Ride 'em once for me, I won't get the opportunity until Thanksgiving, poor me! :rotfl2:
