I think that Disney searches bags brought into Disney since Sept. 11th. Does anyone know if they let you bring in snacks, juice boxes and bottled water in your stroller? Trying to save some $. ; ) If anyone knows, I would appreciate it. Thanks.

We went to all four parks in March and carried snacks such as you mentioned into each one in a backpack (which was searched) and nothing was said.

BTW, I would complement WDW on accomplishing a very thorough search of bags with very little hassle. The main thing to keep the line moving is to have all the zippers and snaps on your bags opened. If you have something large like a jacket stuffed in your backpack hold it in your hand so they can see in the bag clearly and you'll be through the checkpoint in no time.

We brought a small collapsible cooler in some days with sandwiches and juice. It was searched but nothing was said. We noticed lots of people having picnics in the parks like us. I brought bags of snacks, water bottles, and juice in every single day and nothing was said. It saved us a ton of money not to mention time waiting in lines for snacks or meals. One security guard actually kidded DH about joining us for lunch if he could. I also have to say that Disney has done a great job with the security checks. The lines moved fairly quickly, and the guards all displayed appropriate behavior. Two hints would be to let one person carry all the bags through the check in while the other person wisks through the "no bags" line and sits with the kids. This strategy worked great for us and kept the kids from waiting in another line. I also suggest having all your zippers unzipped before you actually get to the front. The guards want to see all way to the bottom of the bag, so I found keeping things in large ziplocs made it easy to remove one if I needed to for them to see.

We were at WDW in early Feb and had no problems with the bag checking. They never commented on the food or drinks we brought in. To make the whole process move quickly I suggest having your bags opened/unzipped before reaching the security people. And if you have a clear see through back pack to hold all your things, that would make it even easier. We had a clear bag that got lots of comments from the security people and how they wished everyone had them.

We always bring our own water. Last visit in December I had a little cooler bag in my backpack with chicken salad (:)) for my dd for dinner if she got hungry before we could eat. No problem when they searched it either. And, it came in handy that night too! She was a bear, we had to leave the park early and skip our dinner PS, luckily I had that for her.

Otherwise, I usually have crackers, teddy grahams and snacks like that in our bags. Haven't had any problems even with the guards searching bags. Since they're supposed to be searching for safety reasons, they'd really slow down the lines getting in by asking people to give up their food:) And, boy, that would really shine a whole new light on Disney.

Ditto for us! We have always brought snacks, water, milk, sandwiches, etc. into the parks and nothing has ever been said.

Fortunately, people's munchies are low priority in the grand scheme of Disney things...

We also had no trouble bringing in drinks and snacks. One we really liked was the plastic fruit cupsas it was a quick and refreshing way to appease DD, and us too.
